When one becomes aware of the law in self examination one thinks sinful thoughts and after awhile these thoughts take control and sin is produced while one does not desire to sin
Galatians 6:8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
So what are we to do?

Love takes effort.
The Lord teaches how to love. In that way it is a fruit of the Spirit.
So He commands and we DO? Sounds like you may be heading for the same dilemma Paul found himself in in Rom 7. ''The things I desire to do, I find I do them not, and that which I don't want to do that I do''.

So I am confused about one thing, if I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I truly genuinely believe it. Then I go out and commit adultery and that's okay? I have always understood and believed that law and grace go hand in.
Really good point. If you are a child of God and you commit a grievous sin then what? How does grace and the law cooperate in this matter? You become a child of God one time. You are then a child of God forever. No matter what you do you are still God's child. You Father Who is God knows what you have done. He is grieved by your sin. He will forgive you if you come to Him and ask forgiveness. The law can only condemn you for your sin and it does so for every sin. The law demands a penalty, death, but grace provides forgiveness. The child of God knows they have offended their heavenly Father without the law. Still the blood of Christ atones, satisfies the demand of the law, for the sin of the child of God but there remains no fellowship with the Father until the sin is confessed, forgiven and repented of. A child of God cannot be happy if he or she cannot come to the Father crying Abba Father. Those who sin and expect no consequence are in error. Those who sin and do not feel convicted about their sin may be lacking the Holy Spirit which indicates they do not possess what they profess. If it's wrong for the sinner it's wrong for the saint. Difference being the sinner pay's for his sins on his/her own while the saint has his/her sins paid for by Christ. The saint must stand before Christ and account for the things done good or bad. A heart that does not grasp the magnitude of the judgment needs to go back and confirm that it received from Christ that which the head claims to have received.
Sorry for the rambling reply but it is just one of those things that believers understand and sinners find to be foolishness.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to search through your past posts to quote you.
Perhaps you can make it easier by answering these question.
If a believer does wrong are they unrighteous for doing so?
If so then what is that unrighteousness measured by?

To sin means you turn back to the law to prove righteousness. This applies only to those who are under the law as whatever the law says it says to those under it, Rom 3:19.
Hence we see in Gal 2:18 that anyone who rebuilds the law for righteousness will make themselves a sinner.
He who sows to the flesh are those I described above, who determine righteousness by deeds of the law.
Here are both sides of the equation but guess which side comes first?
Philippians 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Which side comes first doesn’t nullify either side.

The law (10 commandments) and grace do go hand in hand savedNblessed. Those who claim that the 10 have been made void have done so because of Gods Sabbath day. If you ask them if its ok to kill, steal, adulterate, covet and so on they will claim no way. Ask them if its ok to break Gods 4th commandment. They will say sure we can break the 4th, we don't need to obey Gods 10 commandments. Well at least not that one. They will take one liners out of the bible which are really speaking of the law of circumcision and apply the one liner to Gods 10 commandments
I never said one nullified the other. I am showing that our 'working out our own salvation' is first dependent on Him first working in us both 'to will' and 'to do' His His His good pleasure.
On the other hand that command is fulfilled in us as we find our eternal rest/Sabbath in Him and His work.
I believe our “working out our own salvation” is the realization that once we repent, trouble stops entering our lives.
Jesus shows us how to live. It is up to us to do as he said.
you completely skipped over the meaning of the passage. Not only does He 'show' us the way (law) but he works in us the will and the ability (power) to do. He doesn't just leave us with ''here are my commands now do them''.
