I will say that everytime I have been to Canada I've had a great time. I flew up the first few times then the last time I drove. It' really doesn't pay to have a car in Toronto though. The parking is insane! The city is sweet though. I went to a record store there on Queen street that was so awesome. I scored on some good vinyl.

If I was Canada I wouldn't claim Alanis either. My children used to watch Cailou, although he's a bit of a whiner I think Canada can claim him.
Fenner, please "DO NOT" get me started on Caillou.

That kid is so irritating, I'm tempted to get a vasectomy just so I won't have a chance of reproducing a child like him!!!

Our dollar bills are made out of beaver tails. But don't worry, we don't actually kill the beavers to get their tails, we just cut them off because the rivers here are frozen so they don't need their tails to swim anyway!!!

Apparently there is an idea spreading through some threads that us Canadians have a hard time understanding the languages, word-phrases and cultures of other countries represented here on CC (I guess since we are isolated in igloos all year round and constantly surrounded by very hungry and determined polar bears, we are cut off from other places and ideas in the world).

So I thought I'd start this thread so that the handful of us Canadians here can be given pieces of wisdom and education from all the other countries represented on CC.

I will start with some basic preliminary questions from my very limited-Canadian perspective:

1. To my American cousins, since you guys don't have proper health care (as opposed to Canada's excellent health care system) what happens when you get injured or hurt? Do you pay out of your own pockets for medical service, or do you just roll into the nearest ditch and ironically sing "Only In America" as you wait for the end to come?

2. To my many filipino cousins here on CC, at what time of the year do your beautiful Philippine's beach's freeze-over so I can play hockey when I come there for vacation??? You guys do get snow, right???

3. For my Australian cousins, I have just one question: What ever happened to Crocodile Dundee? He was your country's greatest export!!! (Don't tell Hillsong or Eric Bana I said that!!!).

If anyone has questions for us Canadians about Canada, feel free to ask here. But please understand that everything there is to know about Canada can be exhausted in just three phrases: Toonies, Loonies, and Tommy Chong (yes, he was born in Canada, and when he first saw Canada's flag as a child he immediately became hooked on marijuana!!!). Check out our flag, and you'll understand why!!!

I hesitate to get into the healthcThe Truth About Canadian Health Care: Excerpts from Steven Crowder's Documentary - YouTubeare debate but here goes.

I could call my Dr. today and either get seen today or within a day or 2. If I needed an MRI or other diagnostic test I'd have it within a week, 2 at most. I have heard numerous horror stories about wait times for diagnostics and treatment from many Canadians before. Many who are uninsured here choose not to be, others have options such as medicaid, and by law, a person cannot be refused treatment at an emergency room. If Canada would permit us to ship our 30 million+ illegals up there perhaps your system would seem overwhelmed too. Even with the trainwreck of obamacare looming, despite the garbage youv'e been told, America continues to have the best care in the world. Even your own PriThe Canadian Patients’ Remedy for Health Care: Go to America! | The Foundry: Conservative Policy News Blog from The Heritage Foundationme minister will tell you that!

Hey dyingeverday, speaking of record stores in Toronto, a few years ago we closed down our historic "Sam The Record Man" store. A lot of Torontonians were upset because they wanted to make it a landmark, but it was not to be. Last I heard it's been partially demolished by the new property owner - which is Ryerson University (can you imagine vinyl records being destroyed for the sake of education??? What is this world coming to???).

Descyple, so I am guessing you're from Toronto. Are Torontonians as rude and pretentious as much as the rest of Canada thinks they are????

Yeah Arwen, I'm a Torontonian - born and bred (just like a Canadian Mountie Horse).

Are we pretentious and rude??? Only when we are asked to choose Tim Horton's over Starbucks (then we get really stuck up and nasty!!!).
