I forgot to add, you may really enjoy this quote: “People are generally better persuaded by the reasons which they have themselves discovered than by those which have come in to the mind of others.” - Blaise Pascal

The point is, although we are aware of the existence of God, no amount of evidence can persuade an Atheist to believe in His Existence.
I agree for the most part it took me a year to change and develop my point of view on god, but clearly some people change their minds. The same could be said for convincing someone of the lack of evidence. My teacher once told me "most people don't change their minds, they just die".

Man created the concept of god, of course people who are convinced of this "feel him". If they don't they lose their sanity in their beliefs.

If he really was all around us, I want him to show himself to me. None of that touchy feely stuff, I want to see him. I want physical evidence of his existance and until that time comes, your an idiot for saying "all atheists will never change their mind". It sickens me that people think god is so logical yet cannot prove him without the bible.

I don't care if you believe in him in all that, but the minute you attack on people like me for not believing, don't be surprised at the outcome

Why is it that some of the religiously inclined get so defensive/offensive when anyone even hints that they don't believe in God even when they aren't even trying to disprove God or admit they are searching for God? Seems counterproductive to your evangelism mission doesn't it?
Here's why.

The evidence indicates that the personal god is a manifestation of the ego, which explains a plethora of theistic tendencies, including their typical dislike of atheists, who theists subconsciously perceive to be rejecting a part of themselves.

In a debate about the existence of God (Carl Sagan), William Lane Craig stated, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” I have concluded any argument against this claim would be self-defeating in nature, as one would then have to apply Carl Sagans’ principle to their own argument. There is a lack of evidence for the Atheists’ cosmological view (Origin of the Universe/”Big Bang”), as well as for those with religious views that differ from Christianity. The argument for a “lack of evidence” of God’s existence does not disprove theism, nor does it validate its own alternate claim. To assert something does not exist, merely because there is a lack of evidence, is a philosophical and logical fallacy. After all, there are many cosmological theories which have no evidence to support them. Should we then assume scientific claims to be wrong, simply because there is a lack of evidence to support those claims?
Quote from this article written by physicist Victor Stenger:
Victor Stenger: Absence of Evidence Is Evidence of Absence

"This doesn't bother most believers because they have heard many times that "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."However, just repeating a statement over and over again does not make it true. I can think of many cases where absence of evidence provides robust evidence of absence. The key question is whether evidence should exist but does not. Elephants have never been seen roaming Yellowstone National Park. If they were, they would not have escaped notice. No matter how secretive, the presence of such huge animals would have been marked by ample physical signs -- droppings, crushed vegetation, bones of dead elephants. So we can safely conclude from the absence of evidence that elephants are absent from the park."

Lol. A good deal of theists/believers would argue that the ego is a plausible cause of the rejection of God (or any deity). Ironic, no? It's akin to the "which came first: the chicken or the egg" question. :p

Oh? How do you figure?
Oh I don't know, 2000 years ago people had these apparent divine upliftings and wrote down what their messed up brains told them.

If that never happened, christianity would not be the same. People want god to be true so badly that they will make stuff up

That's a gross misrepresentation of the Word, dontcha think? It's also not very nice to blanket condemn people. Being wise in your opinion is very off putting. :)

...atheism is just an ignorance and an inability to see and understand the higher and Highest realms of existence, Light and Truth..., in a nutshell...

This is the first time I've been on CC in months. Different players same game. Basebool, you have a strong opinion for someone so young. In all the textbooks, or telescopes you will never find the answer of life. Nobody can officially create a protein. The complexities of the simplest life and how they function still baffle experts in the field. So without any proof, and I dare say any, of macroevolution can anybody deny the existence of creation. God left His fingerprints. They are all over you. How you were created, your ability to create, just your cardiovascular system is a marvel let alone your neurological system. The chemistry involved in how your body stores fat, creates antibodies and adapts to different climates. This isn't a happy meal toy. It is engineering mastery. If you decide to ignore the lack of transitional fossils at least question if all these changes took place over billions of years, why has their been a lack of mass mutations in your lifetime. To go from a single cell to a human would take billions upon billions of failed attempts continually happening around the world every second for trillions of years then what just stop? Leave no remains of dogmen and monkeyfish? To believe in the lack of a creator alone would take more faith than any Christian has in God. Once you accept that hey, if I was created, then why? It doesn't take long to find the evidence that Christ was the only Messiah foretold and delivered. You can't just read a chapter or two out of a book and decide it doesn't make sense. It's a whole story. The Bible needs to be understood completely as a whole. Now to answer the question what do I think of atheists. I think mostly they are just like us only misguided. They have zeal for their faith as we do. They think they are right like we do. They get a little heated when challenged like we do. Perhaps if we were more like Christ and less like them they too would see why we follow the only True God and His Son Jesus Christ.
