A LOS ANGELES Airport security officer "shamed and humiliated" a teenage girl for wearing a low-cut top.

Fifteen-year-old Sarina was travelling with a school group when she was allegedly criticised by the officer for revealing too much and ordered to cover up.

For me the officer probably went too far but I understand his frustration. This is what she wears to school.

On school holidays, near where I live in Australia, the malls looks like a hookers convention. We have developed a generation of weak fathers and now we are reaping the rewards.
 
It's not the public servant's place to do that.
We aren't in Nazi Germany, and goons don't rule the day.
This is the problem when the State assumes too much power.
The kickback by the people to this assumption is well noticed.
Goons soon lose their badges when their acts are exposed.
This is a good thing about so many citizens carrying visual recording devices.(Smart Phones)

P.S. - This wasn't an officer, it was a TSA security Guard.

I know what you mean, Rick. Although, to be fair, I wonder if anyone else heard this exchange? I don't want to rule out the possibility that it didn't happen.
 
so wait full length jeans a long sleeve flannel shirt and a tanktop is revealing? this isnt even news. that tsa agent needs his head examined.

Drett, you must be from one of the warmer states. We don't see that much down in Adelaide, thankfully. Okay, the top in question is modest by today's standards, BUT it probably would've been a problem when the teen leaned forward (and that's probably the issue here). Something a bit more modest would've helped.

Is this girl/family Christian? Because if not, then we cannot hold them to a biblical standard. Now, if she is a Christian then yes, her family has failed her. Her tank top wasn't modest, and since she was wearing some kind of long sleeved shirt, the weather must not have been an issue.


I've taught women on the issue of modesty and the clothes chosen are a symptom of something deeper than weather. It's not about what society says is fashionable or what not; the issue is about feeling desirable, wanted, and loved. Women are taught that if they are not desired by every hetrosexual man they run into, there's something wrong with them. So, since a man can't see your dazzling personality, and therefore can't show you they want/like you, how do you get the reaction you think you need? Clothing. This is especially true with younger women who aren't sure who they are or what they're worth.


I was in a restroom at church and as I went to wash my hands a girl who was about 14 was at the counter putting on WAY too much make up. She was dressed inappropriately and had heels on that could be deemed as hooker. I smiled at her, and as I washed my hands I caught her eye. I said to her, "You don't have to do this. There's another way to feel worthwhile." She just stopped and stared at me. She teared up for a minute and then squared her shoulders and replied, "Whatever." I nodded, smiled, and walked out. Now, that girl was messed up more than your average teenager. That much was apparent, but many girls are taught to display themselves as a bill of goods.


Personally, I'm always modest. My body belongs to my future husband and only he should see me immodestly.
 
Duchess was trying to help. If you see that as judgmental, maybe you have the problem.
 
Hmmm I reall don't think her top is THAT revealing but I dont know, it's hard to tell from that one picture. It's all about the angle. Anyways...revealing or not, it wasn't the officer's place to make that kind of commentary in public ( or in private, since he is not a woman or her dad).
 
I think the TSA agent just said that as a cover and excuse to stare at her. In the article it says he was "glaring" at her. I mean if he really felt she was exposing too much he would look away, not stare.
 
personally I don't see anything wrong with her clothes...

Sounds to me like this story is blown out of proportion like the media loves to do.

As far as her shirt goes it doesn't look really revealing but its obviously loose fitting. If she bent over it wouldn't shock me if you could see as far down as her naval.
At the same time the fact that anyone that's looked at this photo is obviously looking at a 15 year olds chest. Covered or not That to me is kinda screwed up.
 
Great. For moment I was concerned about loss of religious liberties and civil rights. Now we have to watch for the Fashion Police.
