um...okay.
does that include Ishmael?
That includes 'the donkey' guy, too, ohzone, "Hey, what you kicking me for." :)

Now, IF I was a guy and being wicked, like Balaam was , and, not just to his mule, Scripture tells us, I would 'absorb' the Lord's leading in that way like a Bounce paper towel :D

are you referring to Ishmael as the donkey guy? Ishmael was a different 'donkey.' :D But, I still Love the guy, I hope and pray, somehow, someway, out there, somewhere in time, God was seen drawing him to Him and Ishmael came to Jesus, in one moment in time (sing Whitney Houston here) and became part of the 'righteous people.' :)

anyways....i dunno what you're talking about. What, ohzone? That's a first :D

is the Holy Spirit pouring out gifts on all arabs (who ppl say is ishmael)? - all sons of abraham flesh?
Think 'soil' for the answer to this question. Fertile soil and unfertile soil, milady. One falls the seed and plant grows. , and, another seed falls on ground that's not the right kind of ground, to rocky, and, so, it just sits there like a tuna flopping in the noonday sun on a beach :) Ouch, ya got me, that 'was' the parable of the sower.'

Balaam, Ishmael, Esau (if he ever repented and believed), Judas Iscariout (if he ever repented and believed), and, anyone else who repented and believed ARE righteous by 'ticket' of Christ's blood on the cross covering ALL their sins, every last one done, and, what's more, every last one done doing now, and, every last one to come . Covered ! By the precious blodd of Jesus :)

but i was asking about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh - Arabs, or whomever - everyone - all the children of abraham.

is that happening now or about to happen?
how does it work.

Can he also answer this? (I have been waiting for someone to do so) How do you test the Spirit that is speaking through you before you even open your mouth? We are told to test the spirits but no one seems to want to answer this.

so, did The Holy Spirit fall on the Israelites in Jerusalem (back in the Land, restored) JUST AS GOD`S PROPHETS IN TIMES PAST has prophesied.

did they dream dreams see visions and prophesy.....just as God through Joel said they would.

did they receive the promise of the Father exactly as Jesus said they would.

or not.

....

do you understand what Paul is saying here:

Galatians 3:14
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

please just look at this passage.
actually i will start a new thread.
The Holy Ghost came to live in the believers on the day of Pentecost, not before was a promise that today is fulfilled and is being fulfilled into all that believe God that move on from the death see that they are 100% forgiven by God at the cross and God gives one new life as what Christ said he came to do and John the Baptist was the witness to this event to take place as he said he only Baptized with water for repentance, for one to try to behave, But Christ came with a different Baptism and that with the Holy Ghost with fire.
Which took place at Pentecost, and has been being given by God to all that will come to belief and die with Christ at the cross, then say thank you, I needed to die to self effort, now Father please make me alive in your Spirit just as you already did your Son Jesus, and Father knowing whether ones motive is pure or not has Mercy or does not, therefore one is born again or not
Continuationism is real For God is forever and is love forever, and is not Dogmatic as many are today
God is a God of Mercy and Not sacrifice. please go and learn what this means

you've been posting here for quite sometime, and commenting on my posts.
if you don't know what i confess, you're not paying attention at all.

you claim i said i was not filled (now you're saying indwelt) by the Holy Spirit.
that's a lie.

i asked you to find the post(s) which prove me saying anything remotely like that.

you've lied about me, please make that right before you ask anything else of me.
Well thank you, you claim you are filled with the Holy Ghost, then you know gifts have not stopped gifts of God right?
And since you are offended by me then I will not answer anymore of your posts and you please answer no more of mine
We will just agree to disagree, and let all be where all is to be
Thanks in all his Love and mine too as received from God, a gift of life everlasting
Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Thank you again Sister in Christ, and never at anytime meant any cause for offense, I am only for the cross of Christ which includes the resurrection
All in Love to you from God

Oh zone, what MUST happen If one is to receive His Spirit. By faith, right? Scripture says this. Therefore, 'upon ALL flesh,' refers to ALL flesh who receives His righteousness will then receive His Spirit.

So, as usual, stephenspeaks, says it well, as the Lord leads Him, 'the righteous people' receive the Spirit of God poured upon them, which are ALL, but, IF , for example, water is poured upon a concrete with a plant in it, the water does not make it to the plant, the plant MUST be on good soil.

Remember, 'none are righteous,' just as Romans 3 says, 'No, not one (of us).' But, by His blood, believing in His Son having died on the cross, we are IMPUTED Christ's righteousness. This is done by/from/in/within 'the heart' of EVERY believer, ohzone (Romans 10 ) :)
And that new indwelling grows as one continues in belief and thus the love of God gets spread about in our Bodies being a new through and through as we grow in this magnificent grace of God's not being tossed to and fro any longer as we were when we first came to believe with an overwhelming love response, that the devil came to steal, kill and destroy, but too late for the enemy, for we now have life in the Spirit of God by the resurrected Christ by God.
[h=3]John 10:10[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
So are we going to stand and be as God has past tense already called us or be tossed like a wave of the sea? I think those days are over, and time to come alive daily in the Spirit of God daily, each and every day, having our oil lamps thus filled daily as it is God that does this not man. By Faith in God we are saved by what God did for us by Christ it is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!!!! and God's love goes on forever, what better Spiritual gift can one get over life (love) everlasting Continue, continue, continue yep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Abba Father and Christ the way, the truth, and the life that you gave me, at no works of my own WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, anyone can sit in their little corner of the world, access the internet to its fullest, & still not know what's going on. Happens to denominations all the time. They only think they know what's going on, because they hear what their religious peers are talking about. I don't believe mine. "Prove all things" isn't done that way. What can't be fully proven because of the vagueness of scripture can be proven with prayer & personal experience. However, if one's personal experience has already failed them in earlier years due to ignorance, that's one they're not going to trust. And if they don't trust their own, they're not going to trust anyone else's either. So to some, they will never be convinced, & it will be their own fault.
I see it this way:
1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

so all any of us are is planters and or waterers that is it, and we just let it go and ask God what to do next

Sarah, I have answered this and you answered back. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt you believe and that God is the one teaching you. Which is the only way one will know who is who and what is what, and thus is wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, just watch what is posted and see, as God leads as greennice so well puts it

What does this have to do with Continuationism?
Wow!!!!!!!! please think about this is and does go on forever? Like a completed circle does. So how is it after the complete4d work of Christ that anything of God given to us ever stop. In Christ Sister we are also completed as circle is. No more beginning and or ending, we have by Christ been given life as what was needed the whole time before Christ ever came and completed the work that needed completion, born again in the Spirit, where we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us to do it. Whether it be in a known Language or an unknown, or healing or anything God does for God's purpose
And as Paul finished in writing at 1 cor. 12 the last he said and let me show you a more excellent way and at the end of 1cor. 13 verse 13, shows us that all the gifts are miniscule compared to the Love of God.
Out of all the gifts given to us by God what is the best one?
I will tell what I see as the best one and that is life in Christ by the resurrection of Christ back at the cross of Christ, can you think of any better gift?
Now if tongues are used by God today to tell another of this, do you think God will use you for this, yet only if you are willing right? Because God does not interfere with anyone's free will correct?
So would this be why all he left for us to do is either believe or not?
Gospel is truthfully so simple that it is hard because man just can't give up work for

please bring forward evidence of anyone today being a prophet or apostle or speaking languages they didn't learn.
if you can't....why keep pretending you can?
One time in one of our prayers meetings, we were all praying in tongues. At the end a man from Ghana said to one of the girls, when you were on the floor praying, half way through you spoke in my native tongue saying, "The Lord is coming quickly!" Over and over again. None of us recognised it at the time except for him of course.
Now i'm some aussie on the other side of the world, but still im a brother. This story might seem like heresay but it's true none the less :)

UMM This might seem like a silly question but did the man specify which lord the person was speaking in tongues was saying was coming quickly? Did he just say lord or did the man say which lord? Lord can be used a generic term so which lord?

Was the man talking about the Lord Jesus Christ come in the flesh or was the person talking about whatever else some calls lord IE Visnu,Allah,Yoda,Mercury etc?

What do you think ,sarasara, it was a 'prayer meeting.' And, don't be tryin' to tell me you can know the SUBJECT of who this "lord' man was thinking as he was speaking 'The Lord is coming quickly' on the floor, cuz why, cuz you DON'T know :) Again, as I say forever until I die, 'course, unless the Lord leads me to think differently, we CANNOT know what the person is truly saying, thinking, feeling, we must go by the metaphysical, real-world stuff, the facts before us. It's NOT for you to know. Sorry, milady, it's NOT. To think otherwise is just silly :)

By the way, 'The Lord is coming quickly,' but, remember, quick to us is not quick to Him, a thousand years is a day in the mind of God :)

Sorry Green,

We are told to do this

1 John 4

4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

No where in there does John say if it is a prayer meeting or not. John very plainly says to TEST the spirits. You don't have it if you choose not to that is your choice.

okay. then, if true, and if not just a coincidence (since glossolalia involves lots of people making lots of noises that sound like words....and even a broken clock is right twice a day)...then that would be the gift of languages.

but tongues are a sign for unbelievers.

k...t.y.

It seems to me like continuationists need to clean up their house, before they expect us to take them seriously.

A good video on false prophets, in the context of Corona virus.

Justin Peters looks at their false claims. He explains their deceptiveness in uttering prophecies, claiming to speak for God when it is basically expressing the thoughts of their vain imaginations.

By the way, if you pay attention, those who believe in "continuationism" actually are making an issue with the "spiritual sign gifts" rather than spiritual gifts in general.

They are insinuating that if you don't believe that "tongues", interpretation of tongues, prophecy and healings by an individual are being given by the Holy Spirit at a particular time, you are denying the Holy Spirit works within the Church today by distributing gifts.

This is a false claim. Almost all Christians believe that the Holy Spirit still distributes gifts.

There is nothing that I have seen in Scripture which guarantees that all gifts of the Holy Spirit are required to be in existence at all times, and possessed by some individual.

Additionally, I don't consider most continuationists and their claims to be credible. That's a big barrier to building their cause.
