Amdg's profile says he's a Christian, not an atheist. From where I'm sitting all I see is someone creating division amongst believers and siding with the atheists. Not that we should be picking sides but you'd think one's worldview/beliefs would inform their values and understandings of the world.
If he is Christian then that's my mistake to assume otherwise from the rather fruitless conversation. I wasn't innocent either.
Anyway, I'm out of this insult war. Thread has been derailed long enough.

I wasn't the one talking down to others if I do recall correctly.
As a matter of fact this all sparked from a simple question about theory. FYI, I'm well aware what scientific theory is. I'm also aware that theories can be altered, improved, modified and disproven as more evidence emerges.
I actually asked the "ignorant" question to see the response. Just from the response I can tell that CC has been infiltrated by a group of "know-it-all" atheists who aren't here to learn the "other side" respectfully but to somehow make theirselves feel superior in some way because they value science more.
What's interesting is how you percieve yourself as extremely intelligent(and I do believe you are) but it takes one simple comment to set you off like bomb. This sent up a red flag to me.

This "I'm smarter than you" mentality is childish, foolish, and extremely pointless. Many of is have seen this over and over again, and it has been old for quite a while. Unfortunately you're not the first person to act this way and you certainly will not be the last.

Was I childish in even acknowledging your petty comments? Yes I was. I apologize for that, but don't think you're better than anyone else because you believe differently. If by chance that is how you think then I do pity you. Your intelligence is wasted.

If you are well aware of what a theory is then why did you write your past post about theory vs. fact. And I don't think I'm better than you or necessarily smarter than you. I do however feel that I'm better educated on this issue than you are and I'm frustrated when individuals are "proud" when people respond negatively to their comments which reveal ignorance.

Science=/Atheism. And I am against intellectually all those who would blatantly ignore well established scientific theory. It might surprise you Tintin, but loads of Christians accept the Theory of Evolution.

I'm happy to end any derailment. Please watch the video and then amend or clarify your past statement about theory and fact.

It doesn't surprise me, I know that already. It saddens and disturbs me though. The Evolutionary Theory is at odds with a Sovereign Creator God who purposefully-designed the universe and everything in it. In this case you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Prove it or quit the childish retorts. Act your age for crying out loud.

If you find willful displays of ignorance entertaining. Thanks for removing any sort of guilt I had over the tone of my message. You can point out that someone is ignorant, but you can't make them actually bother to fix their ignorance.

Age =/ Wisdom. Ihope I never become proud of my ignorance. That's a little too orwellian for me. I still find it rather depressing that you've yet to bother to cure your ignorance.

Please look up the definition of a scientific theory. Your response here screams that you are not aware of the definition.

Welcome to irony 101. There's only a couple things I have to say about this.

Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
1 Corinthians 8:1-2

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:6

I'm sorry but you're just plain wrong on this point. Extremes on both sides keep trying to push this dichotomy, but it's not working, more and more elievers are finally coming to accept the scientific truth that has been there for decades. And if it were true that these views were incompatible, then I'm sorry bu evolution wins. Just like if you're theology requires you to believe that the world is 6,000 years old, or that the sun revolves around the earth, or that the Native Americans were the lost tribe of Israel.

I have a quick question for you amdg, do you believe Jesus Christ is God?

Why does your profile say you're Christian when it is evident you don't believe. I'm just curious.

Find it odd that you don't comment on her willful deception and intentional trolling. But what can I say, can't expect some people in here not to judge matters objectively. After all, it's much more important to criticize me for my frustration because I accept mainstream science.

What does native Americans have to do with the lost tribes of Israel and this thread?

It's called a strawman argument. It has nothing to do with anything, but illogicals like to believe that logical fallicies are valid argument, but only when they use them.

You've done nothing but mock her and jump down her throat the moment you came into this topic, then you have the neve to tell her to stop making "childish retorts," when that's the only thing you've done in this topic.

I apologized for my actions and ended it. You've apparently continued on for some reason. That may be why he is addressing you.

You are mistaken. I am Christian. What makes you think I don't believe? Numerous Christian groups recognize evolution.
