Of course this is logical to science and science says the the brain is center of everything including the emotions and things that make us feel gooey and so on, as the rest of the body is simply a load of working parts which evolution has provided us, Therefore there is no problem with head transplants.
but of course we as CHristians know these feelings come from our souls and spirit, so question is, how much of our body can we really loose? If we just end up as a head in a jar with our brain kept alive, rather like Futurama, then I guess our spirit still lives on attached to our head, so is it really that bad we could simply transplant our head onto a donor body?
After all we can replace just about every body part seperatly, so why is it so bad to have a body replacement? Lets say you were in a car crash, you were just alive, your body is manged to a pulp from midrift downwards, arms torn from body, half your chest caved in, only 1 lung and heart are just keeping you alive long enough for paramedics, who whisk you off to hospital, where there is a donor body, your head is removed from the mangled pulp that used to be your existing body, and transplated, you wake up a day later alive and well.
Its rather a morbid thought, but an interesting one to ponder.
