I knew I was gay when I was still a Christian and my falling out of the faith was because I studied physics and biology and personally found it to be more plausible as an explanation and had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I was gay <3

I think the term “gay lifestyle” is somewhere betweenmeaningless and laughable. It’s like talkingabout the black lifestyle or the blue-eyed lifestyle or the left-handedlifestyle.
You know one thing that I do truly love about you is you are open about who you are, but realize others may not approve of things about your life. You're not belligerent about the subject and you don't try to "force" acceptance on others. You're just you.
I don't agree with homosexuality, but you are ALOT easier to talk to because of mutual respect I appreciate that.

No problem terminallyCapricious but you need to understand that Christians have predispositions to all sorts of things that are immoral and ungodly just like non-Christians do.
The difference between them and you is that they have overcome or in the process of overcoming their immoral and ungodly predispositions in Christ while you abandoned Christ to indulge your own.
Your particular predisposition may not be what you think it is to begin with. I know a fair number of scientists and post doctorate university science researchers whom are Christian here where I live and they write a lot of popular but also peer-reviewed articles for scholarly magazines like Nature, for example. Note the conclusion:
"The fact that sexual orientation is not constant for many individuals, but can change over time suggests that at least part of sexual orientation is actually sexual preference. The theory of evolution does not disprove the existence of God nor does it confirm that homosexuality is a genetic trait over which people have no control. To state that is to malign the theory of evolution through misrepresentation and constitutes a "cop-out."
I've met many ex-homosexuals whom have told me directly they had been deceived by the devil in this regard. And understand that sexual immorality is addictive and perfectly aligns with the addictive model. So it's no surprise, that I've also met many people who had been addicted to sexually immoral behaviors (including homosexuality) but overcome them in various self-help groups catering to their particular addiction.

Being a recovering homosexual myself, I definitely feel that homosexuality is a psychosexual addiction. I thank God and Jesus Christ, the Living God, for reconfirming life within me, and an end to unnatural desires. Homosexuality is the Abomination Which Brings Desolation, and I pray that God's vengeance is swift and just, and that those who feel the desire to escape this addiction will do so before it is too late for them. Amen.
The Butcher's Wife is an interesting movie which has something rather phenomenal in it. Towards the end of the film, when the psychologist is trying to prevent the psychic from making more destructive predictions, she tells him: "I can't help what I see." He responds patiently, "No, but you can help what you say."
Even if a person is born with psychosexual afflictions, that does not mean that they cannot control their behavior. Obey God's commandments first and foremost, and continually apply the Holy Word. Be humble to His Will. Amen.

So you're asking what entity has the authority to define what indoctrination is? Let's look at the definition of the word. Obviously, there are various organizational bodies that produce definitions for words so I'm just taking the standard Merriam-Webster definition here:
1: to instruct especially in fundamentals or rudiments
2: to imbue with a usually partisan or sectarian opinion, point of view, or principle
The reason why you see both teaching and imbuing associated with indoctrination is because both concepts apply. Now the moral authority behind indoctrination depends on what's indoctrinated and who it's coming from.
When GOD conveyed special revelation to humanity in the form of His Word, that was a form of indoctrination. In that case, the moral authority is positively present in the who and the what.
When a parent repeats what God has conveyed to their children, by extension the moral authority is present in the who and the what.
Governments (e.g. higher powers) are also ordained by God for the benefit of humanity within parameters that are always morally superseded by the de jure highest power (e.g. God). In whatever form the government may be, higher powers are always "under" or "below" God and never possess God's approval when it contradicts the good purposes for which God ordains government.
For example, God created the power of fire but the government is not within its moral authority to dictate that it's lawful to use fire to burn down the homes of your neighbors so you can steal their land from them. God created the power of sex but the government is not within its moral authority to dictate that it's lawful to engage in gross sexual immorality.
Because God respects human freewill, He has chosen to tolerate evil for a time. Look at what's happening in North Korea or occurred in Sodom and Gomorrah. But ultimately, God is going to restore and judge all things.
A good treatise on this subject is 'Romans 13' by Timothy Baldwin. You should read it.

Let's say you get to decide , and you make a law
"it is illegal to indoctrinate someone to be homosexual"
then it's my turn. I say
"it's illegal to indoctrinate someone to accept death penalty"
At this point the majority in here will already be mad at me for suggesting this is indoctrination
then someone else says
"it is illegal to indoctrinate someone to say they are sinners"
...which wouldn't be very good for any of us
