The problem with that is that if the bible isn't read so no scripture negates another scripture, if God isn't seen as one God, then the scripture is distorted. Because there was a change from when Christ was shown as only a shadow of the resurrection from Christ as He was after the resurrection and people are not tracking every change but saying it changed what God didn't change, it gets messy. Add to that that all of us humans see darkly.

We are putting our neck out a mile when we presume to say we are teaching what God says.

I never post without prayer and listening, and often I'm told "no" before I hit that submit button. When others say I have it wrong, I have to carefully go to scripture when those aren't using hate in the objection. Those people have the holy spirit to guide them and I do, too. Sometimes it is people persecuting God's message, and sometimes it is people telling me when I have it wrong.

Right on, Brother! Seems like every time that a person endorses every word in the Bible, with equity as best as we can, it always raises contention because people like to use bits and pieces of the Word just to please themselves. Talking about judgment starts in the house of God, there is a situation today that is slapping us in the face and the house of God is not paying attention. If our nation is sinking into the sunset, the failure starts in the house of God according to scripture. It is particularly true when a nation sings "God Bless America" and has a pledge that says, "One nation under God."

When the truth hurts when dealing with the Word, it probably is supposed to; not an insult, a lesson.
When discussing the Word in what is supposed to be Bible discussion and variance is made strictly for the sake of putting down the person posting, this is not in the spirit of fellowshiping, it is not of the Holy Spirit.

The most recent example of deliberately mocking the brethren is the roll of note paper in the form of toilet paper. This type of oh-i-am-just-kidding humor is base, yet rampant by many so-called believers in the forum. Base humor, ridicule, winking the eye, etc. have no real place when discussing the Word.

Scroll through some of the seemingly more heated posts and see the soul less humor and cartoons posted in friendly humor. It is quite repulsive.

I now expect one of the spirit-filled stars of the forum to come along to tell me again, humor is good in fellowship in the Lord. This is a lie. Read what the Word teaches on the subject, then say it is good.

Ok! Humor is good, very good. Insults, or anything meant to hurt someone isnt. Mocking isnt.
I understand there is alot of meanness and insults..I agree its not good. at all.

This is just my opinion tho.....use the report post button more often and stop the
whining threads...that are formed strictly to whine and form even more gangs and divisions

Well, I know our readers got a real eyeful the past couple of days. Over 800 views! I gained two new friends! Not to mention the emails....... and with all the insults I'm still blessed. God is so good to me. I know some of you don't believe it, but there have been some changes for the good in my life. I just needed a little push. I've overcome issues with some folks, because I've turned it over to God. I know He will take care of things for me.

I'm also glad for those watching that learned a lot of truth. I don't have to say anything else. God will allow them to see what's going on. That's just fine with me.

For those that wonder why I didn't fight back, the answer is simple...... the battle's not mine. Scripture teaches us by example all through the Bible that God fights our battles for us.

More people are seeing the truth. Things will change. It may be slowly, but it will. It has to. Scripture demands it. Then we'll see who's doing what. No amount of excuses & stories will cover it up.

There is a great divide between being of good humor and being a comedian in the assembly of the Lord. You are not going to be reported but you have exposed yourself here. No one is whining, not to you or to anyone else.
What kind of transparent ploy is this to introduce this word, whining, constantly. Apparently this is what you want. That too is a cheap insult. Stop introducing false teachings, that is that your definition of humor is good. Show everyone from the Word. That is not truth.

By your humor her, which I con sider of Satan, by your own estimation and yardstick, your posts are the biggest yawn in the forum with so many quotes of your adored scholars mixed in witht he Word. Setting aside the debates here, so one may to speak to the scripture itself.

The one thing I noticed is that it does not speak to being offended, that being self offended.
This is important, as I was chastised myself by God on this, learning that when I am offended, it is because of self.
For when one lives in Jesus, there is no offence, for any offence given, is against God, not self.
May we keep this in mind always, if one is offended, then they look to self, their own pride, rather than all being done in God's will, for His glory!

As to persicution, may we remember that our battles are against the powers of darkness, not each other.
I have seen many who hate, reject, or are predjudiced against a believer, not even knowing why.
They do so because they do not live in Jesus, so they are used by the thief to persicute.
One has friends turn against them, without reason, they not knowing why. they simply see foolishness, or disagree, unable to see the truth, and seeing christians as backward, haters, lacking enlightenment.
The rightousness of God is seen now by the world as wrong, and many are now being called criminal for their beliefs.
These are the subtle and more dangerous attacks, for the enemy uses the unsaved to do His bidding, and they have no idea of the destrution they support, and the loss of salvation being brought in them.
There are the more obvious attacks, to the body, the lives, the churches, these are seen easly, yet also one of the many things satan does to try to take ones life.
Yet we do not fear or faulter, for as Jesus said...
" be not afraid, for he who seeks your life also seeks my life, but take courage, I have overcome the world!"
No matter the attacks, we find comfort and streangth in Jesus's words, for as long as we seek salvation in Jesus, live in His Spirit, the world has no hold on us.

As spoken to in the begining of this post, what offence is there, when one is in Jesus, for all is flesh and the world.
We in Jesus have overcome the world, because He has overcome the world for us!
May we always remember as well, our battles are not against each other, but the powers of evil, and Jesus has already won this battle for us!

We do have to watch to keep from being offended, that is true. I can only say I was one who didn't, & had to learn that lesson the hard way. That's what this whole thread is about: helping those like me who got offended so easily.

But there is another side, too. While mature christians aren't supposed to be offended, neither are they supposed to offend, & especially on purpose:

If you do not, or you have not experienced persecution, perhaps there is something wrong with how you believe? Is there a new teaching that as believers one is not expected to suffer persecutions, or one is not expected to obey the Father, or perhaps one is supposed to live a luxurious life?

Refresh my memory if you will. How are we in North America presently persecuted ? Are our BBQ propane tanks not filled to their limits ? Do we receive only a medium fry when we've ordered and paid for a large ? Are we the recipients of smaller scoops when we indulge ourselves with our favourite ice-creams ? How are we (or you perhaps), "the persecuted", suffering for the cause of Christ ? What was Stephen's point again ?? Give me .... and all here ... and especially those who are truly suffering persecution for the cause of Christ a break.
