The dividing line between the two camps has always been doctrine. If we were all of the same mind on doctrinal matters, there'd never be any disagreement between us. I just prefer to have all the cards laid on the table ... and proceed forward in any discussions keeping this perspective and truth in mind. I know that I'm sometimes frowned upon here because I agree with Zone on virtually everything I've seen her post so far. She and I are likeminded ... almost to the point of being "scary", if I can use that term. Only difference is (and it's a big one) is that I pale in comparison to her. Her study and knowledge of the Word of God far surpasses mine. I know it. And if she knows it, she's humble enough that she would never make me feel the lesser because of it. That is true humility Jack. Matter of fact, I pale in comparison to most here. The Elin's and Angela's. The Sarah's and Ellie's .... Pickles and more. All well studied and extremely well learned. Some of the guys ? Grandpa, EG, Tribesman, Abiding, Crossnote, 1Stillwaters, Jdigs ... and a few others at least. I hold them all in high regard. And I am never "threatened" because I believe them to be more learned than I. But none here have taken the verbal beatings that Zone has over the past few years. Not a one. Some will say ... that is because she is the most vocal and contentious ... and maybe that is true. But she is also speaking from Godly conviction. And for this, she is called a tool of satan by some ... and very often worse. Is it wrong for me or others to come to her defence ? No. I will do what my heart compels me to do and defend what I know to be true concerning God's grace given us in Christ. And from what I have seen to date, Zone gives all credit, glory and honour to Him Who is only and most deserving ... our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is everything. He is the only thing. Everything outside of Him is meaningless ... and of absolutely no value or merit.

Perhaps in the midst of this if we could remember that the other person is also a flawed human being,and that we are ourselves are just as flawed,and forgive them just the same way we have been forgiven by God,it just might make a real change. Bu then again it's much more fun to use a hammer on the other person. And we forget that in the heat of some of these threads we all have said things that we later regret. Not one of us is perfected yet.

How is associating them with the godless king of Babylon not as bad as the persecution you claim to be taking on?

Stephen I still have a ton of respect for you, and view you as a Godly man.
I'm just having a hard time seeing how what's being done by classifying a "THEM" as being like a godless king, how that's any different than the persecution you're talking about.

In effect it creates a schism of the "them" who are like a godless king.

God uses who he uses. When I said "like he did the king of Babylon", that doesn't mean I put them on the same level. It just means God uses certain people to get his chosen people to humble themselves and repent of their sins. God showed me I was wrong when I was in the midst of their fighting using their same tactics. I was deceived into thinking that fighting back would have its rewards. But it didn't. I was becoming just as bad. You know I was. Like I keep saying, I wasn't on the outside looking in. I was on the inside, and God woke me up. It is really easy to get caught up in it, whether you're trying to fight against it, or on the other side rooting for the team. It's just as bad both ways.

Just because I'm using the term "them", doesn't mean I'm speaking apostasy across the board. Many in these battles are simply deceived. That doesn't mean they're bad. I was deceived. I was wrong. If I were the same, I wouldn't be saying that, now would I?

As for that comment of pulling up my big boy pants and getting over it, I already have. Now, I'm just trying to get people to talk about it and share their views, hoping to add some pieces to the puzzle that I can't see. Remember that in the future. I'm looking for answers, and I will find them. Is it personal? When it has to do with the kingdom of God, yes it's personal. You can't be committed to the Lord and it not be.

I haven't changed my views since I've been on here. What I'm tired of is cleaning the cobwebs, and I've decided instead to look for the spider. That's a spiritual view, by the way, and not about a person. CC is having disruptions, constant ups and downs. The reason is spiritual, because this site is a ministry. There's a reason for it. The reason the King of Babylon destroyed Jerusalem was because they were evil and had been asking for that judgment. God gave it to them. Are we in a similar situation? Have we as a group done something to break this on us? I could've said all of this earlier, if I had the opportunity.

When it comes to babes, yes. When young Christians come in here, they are hurt very easily. And not just the ones talking. Have you ever thought about the ones that are reading? What does it do to them? Folks never think about them. If we're going to be Christians, then it has to be about others.​

I guess I better explain. I was using "you" in the plural form, and I regret it was interpreted as being directed towards a single individual. English has lost a lot of quality, there is no doubt about it. I guess the KJV only people always have that over the more modern versions. No thou and ye. I guess I could continue in Greek or maybe German or French and use the singular and the plural "you" so then some people wouldn't get even more paranoid.

As for not liking the way this thread has gone, it really doesn't matter who started it - it is NO ONE's thread. When you take possession of a thread on the open internet, and act paranoid about people, it does really suggest things are not right.

If this thread is not about doctrine, which is what I believe started it, it certainly has become about personalities. No one is running me off, and my experience is indicating that someone is hurt.

Well, Stephen, I apologize for trying to run you off, although it was not meant that way. I apologize for not understanding how anyone could be persecuted on the internet.

But I will not apologize for interpreting the Bible the way God has shown me, and for believing doctrine that is true and sure. Please feel free to post anything you want. It will not convince me you are right.

I have left many forums in the past because I did not agree with the dominate teachings. I was not hurt, I was not persecuted, and I just listened to God telling me to "wipe the dust off my feet" and go!

I think you have been a valued member of this forum, but you have dug a pretty deep ditch for yourself to fall into this time. I just hope we can all help pull you up! As believers in Christ, it is something we should be doing, if you are willing to accept an apology and realize that we are not against you as a person, but we are defending the way we believe the Bible should be interpreted. And if that is sometimes done with humor, laughter or sarcasm, then you have to realize that it is not as personal as you would like it to be!

About forgiving. Anyone who has offended must desire forgiveness, otherwise they will not receive it. That is to say the Teacher, while others, teachers, are His servants who teach by means of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit present not only is there no teaching, there is nothing learned.
