Despite making provision for freedom of religion in the Chinese Constitution (article 36 added in 1978), China has never really honored it.

In 2012, China's government launched a new three-phase campaign to wipe out unregistered house churches which they view as a hostile group of dissenters and force them to join the official Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) church system controlled by China's government and whose "theology" entails a great deal of actual heresy (despite incorporating the Nicene Creed) designed to get members to exalt the Chinese government over God.

In the first phase, from January 2012 to June 2012, the State Administration for Religious Affairs (SARA) sent out a large number of government spies and secretly investigated house churches across the country and created files on them.

This was followed by a wave of crackdowns, which is ongoing right now, as part of the second phase. The vast majority of Christians have resisted and refused to join the government's authorized "Christian" church.

With little exception, the mainstream liberal media is refusing to cover these blatant human rights violations occurring in China.

Phase three is expected to begin from 2015 through to 2025 and the Chinese government intends to put Christians under their boot using government force much like Mao did in 1958.

Persecution has come to China's Christians and severe persecution is coming shortly.

The metaphysical worldview of Marxism is state atheism and every Marxist country without exception has engaged in sweeping persecution of religious people on a regular basis as a result. It's impossible to have true freedom of religion in a nation built on the principles of state atheism.

Chinese persecution, oppression, and suppression of Chinese Christian's human rights are about to increase dramatically.

The government has realized that the underground church's members are much more than the official 'church' member.
Do we have a member or china? Or this web might be blocked from there.

The Golden Shield Project which is China's great firewall is a primary method used by China to block content. But they also use it to monitor dissidents as a law enforcement tool in creating a case against them for prosecution.

So if you're a member of an underground church in China and engaging in messaging with a parent organization outside of China, those communiques can be intercepted and used to build a case to put you in a hard labor prison.

China is not; however, able to monitor all of it's 1.35 billion people obviously so this usually only occurs when someone snitches to the government.

As a Cold War veteran, I often scratch my head at the glibness of Western Christians regarding severe religious persecution.

I suppose they won't really get it until their children have been confiscated by the government and placed in state run orphanages where they are persecuted for being the children of "religious criminals" as they are taught to be nationalistic atheists and encouraged to persecute Christians when they grow up as they themselves (e.g. the parents) are stripped of everything except their faith and tortured and worked to death in a prison camp. But by then it's too late to do anything about it except work and then die from malnourishment and disease.

Furthermore, and I'm being somewhat sardonical in saying this, it's as difficult as finding a Moses who can part the Red Sea to find a Western homosexual (like the type that come on this forum) who've ever posted about the severe persecution of Christians around the world.

lol of course if we are still in the flesh, we wouldn't be able to see the Truth, let alone other believers who are persecuted for their confession alone. While the so called churches in the west are claiming everybody saved as long as they confessed with their mouth and did water immersion once.
Pitiful reality.
I know a missionary organization from your country who is serving in China (also some other countries, including my country), but I think that missionary is serving in big cities in China, not the rural village, which I believe the persecution is even more harsh, like the video you posted (because that's also the case in my country).
But Praise God, that missionary, at least, is preaching the full counsel of the gospel.

But through it all the church continues to grow over there...while the church in the US continues to decline.

Didn't mean to be a naysayer but what I said is obviously the truth. We keep saying how the church needs to get busy again...I don't know how many meetings I have attended so far this year where this feeling was unanimous....No planning as how or what to do though.

The Church is the bride of Christ, so those who He has chosen, He will discipline as well. as Jesus said, My sheep they hear My voice and they knows Me.
now every organization of unrepented sinners claim to be a church without even a sensitivity to sin, now that's a big question mark whether they are true church or not.
As mentioned by Ageof as well correctly, in post #7.

when I think about this again, it reminds me of Matthew 25:31-46.
For I hungered, and ye gave Me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink;
I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in; naked, and ye clothed Me not; sick and in prison, and ye visited Me not.’

these should have warned enough, what the upcoming result if we have done this (as the fruit of the Holy Spirit's work), because there are 2 future results described to be separated in the passages, goat on the left and sheeps on the right.

based on my observations of history often repeating itself...i suspect that any upcoming persecution of christians in china will be the last death throes of chinese state sponsored atheism...

everyone knows that christianity in china is growing at an astounding rate...and i would guess just based on statistical probability that it is likely that many of the people currently climbing the ranks in the chinese government are secret christians...

i believe that probably within the next thirty or forty years china will have its constantine...

I'm not sure China will have much time to persecute religious people, once their economy bubble bursts. They will be having plenty of other work to do trying to fix a collapsing economy.

You're patently wrong. Since China became a Marxist Communist nation in 1949, they have ALWAYS found time to persecute religious people.

For example, in 1958, China's economy crashed into such depression that famine swept the nation and 15 million people died of starvation. Yet China's government undertook some of China's most heinous persecution of religious people during this time resulting in many of China's Christian leaders being killed and imprisoned while many others spent years in hard labor camps.

I encourage you to read 'The Cambridge History of China: The Chinese economy under stress, 1958—1965' as one starting point for more information.

The Chinese government is definitely going to phase III no matter the state of their economy and the Chinese government isn't going anywhere. That's wishful thinking.

This assumes people behave sensibly under economic duress.
