I'm sick of reading the insults being hurled around in here. May God be the ultimate judge.
Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Just a little somethin on this wonderful Sabbath day to show how great the WORD is! There are only 2 places in the KJV where the words “moreover also” can be found

EZEK.20 [12] MOREOVER ALSO I gave them MY SABBATHS, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them

ACTS 2 [26] Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; MOREOVER ALSO MY FLESH SHALL REST in hope:

If you will notice in ACTS 2 the WORD says “my flesh shall rest in hope”. Just as GODS 4th commandment tells us to do. A huge coincidence to the "many". The greatness of His Word to the few.

That is meaningless. Moreover also is just the way it was translated, and probably only in the King James; has nothing to do with the original languages.

Then you are may have an issue with intelligence. The Judaizers were the ones who wanted to spin the clock back to the way it was. They did not embrace change and even opposed it. They wanted all the gentiles to be circumcised after it had been repealed.

Sure, if you want to be an old stick in the mud, by all means be a judaizer, resist the change that comes from the Holy Spirit.
Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luk 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

What is the Kingdom of God/Heaven? God's government!! A little child understands rules are a blessing. I don't need my mind to reason away all that is stated plainly in the Word.

Acts 17:2
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Acts 18:4
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

Acts 18:19
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.

[h=3]Hebrews 5:14[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]14 [/SUP]But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

1 Peter 3:15
[SUP]15 [/SUP]But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

The scribes and pharisees had the OT too, but didn't understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Thus Jesus spoke to them in parables, so that seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. I think you just put the finger on the problem. I pray that God will life the "Wall" before your eyes so that you can see (understand). With that said, I'm out...Peace.

Woa buddy!! You misquoted me. I said I don't need my mind to reason away all that is stated in the Word. I did not say I did not my mind to reason. Big huge difference.

This is what you reason away, When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear. Hebrews 8:13...and among other passages, Col. 2:16-17 for instance.

I know what the new covenant is. Jeremiah 33 and Hebrews 8. As for as Colossians 2:16-17, don't you know Paul was dealing the Gnostics and Paul was not contradicting himself in saying "don't keep the Sabbaths and Feast Days" because Paul did keep the Sabbaths and Feasts Days.

Your point is mute with me. I understand where you are coming from, because I too was in that belief. It is mercy I have received and see that the whole Bible is still relevant for today and the Torah is not obsolete or done away with. There is no contradiction in saying we are under the New Covenant which is now written on our hearts and a desire to obey God in all that He commands us.

I don't know how you can say that without trampling on the blood of Christ.

So you think the covenant of Hebrews 8 is here already?

1st of all I don't know what book your reading but the bible says ; waxing old not obsolete

HEBREWS 8 [13] In that he saith, A NEW COVENANT, HE HATH MADE THE FIRST OLD. NOW THAT WHICH DECAYETH AND WAXETH OLD IS READY TO VANISH AWAY.

HEBREWS 8 [8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: [9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. [10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MIND, AND WRITE THEM IN THEIR HEARTS: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [13] In that he saith, A NEW COVENANT, HE HATH MADE THE FIRST OLD. NOW THAT WHICH DECAYETH AND WAXETH OLD IS READY TO VANISH AWAY.

Although we are to try and walk as if Gods law was written in our heart, has the covenant of Hebrews 8 already arrived?

Verse 8- I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Not a gentile mentioned anywhere. Are you from either house Bookends? What tribe?

Verse 11- Does EVERYONE know the Lord Bookends? Not even close. There will come a time.

Verse 13- Hebrews 8 was written AFTER the crucified Christ and the scripture clearly says that the old covenant (10 commandments) is WAXING OLD and GETTING READY to vanish. Aint vanished yet! Yes there are some books that claim the ten are obsolete. In them same books youll find in Hebrews 4 the name of Jesus being change to Joshua for the same reason.

Verse 10- When God writes His commandments in our heart you can bet the ranch we will be keeping them. Yes, even His sabbath. When will God write His laws in our hearts? At the time He does this quote takes place.. " I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people". Its after the gathering of His people to the 1000yr period of rest.

EZEKIEL 36 [24] For I will take you from among the heathen, and GATHER YOU OUT OF ALL COUNTRIES, AND WILL BRING YOU INTO YOUR OWN LAND. [25] Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. [26] A NEW HEART also will I give you, and A NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. [28] And ye shall dwell in the land that i gave to your fathers; and YE SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE YOUR GOD.

Heres another scripture pointing to when God will do heart surgery on us

DEUT. 30 [4] If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will THE LORD THY GOD GATHER THEE, and from thence will he fetch thee: [5] And the Lord THY GOD WILL BRING THEE INTO THE LAND WHICH THY FATHERS POSSESSED, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers. [6] And the Lord THY GOD WILL CIRCUMCISE THINE HEART, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. [7] And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee. [8] And THOU SHALT RETURN AND OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD, AND DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS which I command thee this day.

The gathering to the 1000 yr period of rest. Verse 8- Yes.... that would be the 10 commandments. Does that include the sabbath

ISAIAH 66 [22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. [23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and FROM ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, SHALL ALL FLESH COME TO WORSHIP before me, saith the Lord.

YES! The nation Israel is the anti-type to the true Israel, Christ our Lord.

We've been in the period of God's rest since the last day Creation. That's what the bible communicates, how to enter into that rest, that's what God is concerned with, fallen man entering into His rest, salvation.

Wow. You make that sound like judaizers are a bad thing. Our Lord Jesus Christ is Rabbi of the true Jewish faith. I'll take being a Judaizer is a positive thing.

"Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy"
"If you love me keep my commandmenys"
"Many say they know me but their actions are aganist me"
"On judgement day the book of laws was opened and people were judged according to what is in it"

MY QUESTION IS WHY ARE PEOPLE REJECTING THE LORDS WILL. WE CARRY OUR BAGS AND SAY WE ARE GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY. SATURDAY HAS NOW BECOME A DAY OF PARTING AND SOCIAL EVENS. WHY? Someone please answer.
If you wanted to, you could make a calendar which had Sunday as the last day of the week. Whose idea was it to make Saturday the last day? I think the Lord is little concerned about such technical differences of opinion, as he is whether or not we love him with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Hi All,

Please can you guys tell me which denominations worship on a Saturday. I know of the seventh day adventists but I am interested to know if there are others. I currently am a Methodist (Sunday) worshipper but I am feeling uneasy as you say as to why I worship on a Sunday and want to see what other Churches that worship on the Saturday.

The true Israel is the one Christ established. Those that didn't recognize Him when He came are not part of it. But those laws Christ instituted were never to pass away. Those were His words.

Well, it can be argued that the calendar is exactly the same as it was when God originally gave the 10 commandments to Israel in the desert. It's super hard for me to imagine that every last Jew in the world lost track of what day it was all at once somewhere along the way when the 7th day sabbath was the backbone of their week. I'm just sure one day everyone looked around, and by golly, absolutely everyone had lost track of what day it was.
