It's one of the main reasons why I don't quite understand atheists..They claim that God is "selfish" or they use..other words, claiming he's an a**hole and such. ("swear" words don't offend me, but of course, I understand how others feel - so I censored it.)

I don't understand why they try so hard to claim that he doesn't exist, per se. It's more of an anger thing than a factual one. As for me, I Really began to think about life in itself. Life is really a gift to me.

It's so easy and pretty much relaxing - to me. I'm not wealthy at all, my family is actually in a financial rut..But even so, I'm a generally very Happy person.

We (Christians - and people in general) have very common sense rules to go by - don't murder people, don't steal from others, don't commit adultery, and of course other simple rules. It's really not that difficult! And along with that, we have such entertaining gifts - like animals, weather, certain foods and such, great people that have many things in common with you - or even not so common, and memories (to reminisce on the good times). I'm really starting to realize how enjoyable life is, regardless of someone having to be wealthy, a celebrity, or even having a whole ton of friends.

Of course, there's many people out there who've corrupted their life styles and while doing so, they've corrupted others life styles and turned them into victims. But this is the result of sin coming into the world in the very beginning. And since we're in the later days, things are becoming more progressive and corrupt - slowly but surely. Even so, if we All were to follow the simple commandments that we're supposed to follow automatically, do you realize how even more Decent life would be all together? Life to me in my aspect is very calm and collective. I mean, I'm really starting to appreciate the type of life style that God has given us. Do other people feel like this?

If it was so easy, then we wouldn't need God. maybe that's why they ask that. To them they don't want God to exist. they all want an easy life. a typical Atheist. They need to know they do need Christ in there life. but until then? they going to find ways to disprove God's existence. and they go to lengths to do it too.

I meant this in a positive way. Like, I wonder if anyone else thinks like I do when it comes to life. It's like God's intentions are so positive and decent to me. And then I wonder if everyone were to follow the simple commandments we're told to follow, how much more decent life would actually be.

Sorry but the life you live is not one that others get to enjoy. Life isn't easy and if you find it easy, fantastic but don't attempt to say that atheists are just emotional and hate the idea of God existing. I'm glad you believe your life is a gift, atheists can also feel amazed and reflective on their lives and the ability to enjoy it. If you try to claim that life is easy or atheists are just emotional and don't want God to exist, then look at some actual atheist philosophers and scientists and their perspectives instead of generalising an entire group. Some people like to know what is true and what isn't so atheists 'who try hard to disprove God' are merely questioning and concluding on results which you don't like. Which is the reason you believe they 'try so hard'.

On a minor notes animals arn't a gift to you. They definitely are not supposed to be viewed as personal gifts to do what we choose with or as 'entertainment'.

They're a gift to Me, and I love animals very much and enjoy taking care of them. I didn't say atheists are "emotional", I'm curious as to why they consider God "selfish" and such when (I believe) that he's given us a good way of life - even though they claim that he doesn't exist.

There you go, Atheists don't believe in God due to emotions not due to facts. Some atheists state God is selfish because he created humans because of his need and desire to be constantly praised by another organism. If you then look at the amounts of children, men and women who die each day from diseases and natural causes then you have a pretty good reason to conclude that it is selfish to stand by and watch your creation suffer while they are forced to praise and ask for forgiveness in order to not end up in a fire for all eternity. Not to mention not a single recorded event of God ever stopping a natural disaster, with the reminder he wiped out every human except a handful because he didn't like how the world was. Millions of innocent people would have died if this event was true. I don't believe it is true.

Sweetie I think the way you think is awesome. Life should be all those good things you describe, how wonderful to look through your glasses for a while. However when you get to my age 44 and have 2 kids, a house that needs paying, food that needs to get bought, diesel that is required to run the car, and on and on, you start to realise that life is really hard.

Or you have a close friend pass away, or you face a dreadful disease with another friend. But you my deal child are right, life is good because we serve a truly living, loving, caring, giving God.

When life is hard, He carries us........................................

Thank you so much for sharing, and we need to all be reminded of how much the Lord loves us, and how our concerns are His concerns.

I love animals to, and know that they are a gift from our heavenly father. Oh before I forget about the atheist thing, I always chuckle at the fact that athiests CHOOSE not to believe in God, so if they CHOOSE not to believe then surely this means there must be a God that they CHOOSE not to believe in. He has to exist in order to not believe in Him, or else you are choosing to believe in something that doesn;t exist which doesn't make sense at all, does it?

God Bless

Life isn't easy for everyone, and it wasn't always so easy. You are using the internet, and I am going to assume you also have a refrigerator and running water that has a hot setting. When you have those things; yeah, life is easy.

When Jesus speaks of rich people in Matthew 19:16-24, he isn't focusing on people who are millionaires/billionaires that exist today. He is talking about people like you and me. People who can easily afford food, get water whenever we please, have a fairly stable living situation, and have multiple pairs of clothing. Life is easy for people with these things, but if you go back a few hundred years most people didn't have these things. Go back to Jesus' time and an even lower percentage of people did. The times have changed, but if the message is still the same we have to be ready to follow what it tells us and help those less fortunate than us by giving up what we have.

God, or nature (if you don't believe), didn't make life easy. The world has been a very difficult, sick, hungry, and stressful place for the majority of human existence. It has only been recently when humans have learned to pool together their knowledge, and started to use new methods of discovering more aspects of the world around them, that life really started to become easy for a greater number of the human population. We live on the work of many great humans who have came before us. Their hard work has pulled civilization out of the cruel hands of the unfriendly world and allows us to relax far more than the previous generations would dream of.

I've always found it odd when people say that they choose not to believe, but I find that the case in all situations. Like I really have a choice in what I believe in.

Life is easy once you walk in the blessings and victory of Jesus. Getting to that point is what's hard, if you want to hang on to your own way of doing things. Since that's what you have to give up, God looks selfish to you in asking for it.

For one, I don't see life as "easy"... though I guess everyone has their own opinions about life. Temptations for sure do not make life EASY, if you are easily brought into those things.. I struggle with a lot of those. It's hard for me, and a lot of others. But then again, I am a pessimist most of the time and it's hard for me to be happy. So anyway, there are a lot of differences. Yes the world is becoming more corrupt and it's going to become more and more so because we are in the last days. But that means we are closer the the rapture, when Jesus is going to bring us home, so all the more better!! But if you think that it was easy, and if it was and had been easy for the Jews in the Bible to follow Jesus' instructions, they probably wouldn't have met Hitler along the way... so people really do create their own problems and sin just creates more sin, we can't control that. We can only control OURSELVES, and our choices. People will sin regardless. This world has desensitized themselves to what is going on around them and thats why things are becoming worse. Satan is the king of this world, but when we get to Heaven, Jesus is King!! (Not that He isn't King now). Sin will just runs it's course in this (world) unless people DECIDE to listen the voice of God.

Some of those 'entertaining gifts' (animals) may also chase you down and eat you...

I think I totally understand you! I mean I live with non believers and don't get why but that's not what I understand in your post....

What I understand and relate to is how amazing and awesome life is. Bad things happen, not saying they don't! I never got to even really know my mom. My step-mom doesn't like me and says I need professional councilling cause I believe in God and talk about His love and sacrifice. Now I know these are small potatoes, the reason I know is simple. Look at the life of the Apostle Paul. To some his may seem to have suffering but he counted his sufferings as blessings. Thats the truth, it's that easy Jesus loves me. Really that's all I can say.

I got ready for church today and my step-mom refused to take me. That's okay, I sat down with my little brothers and told them stories from The Bible. They aren't allowed to go to church, so I think God's love and direction today was for me to be there sing songs about our Lord to them, share about Job to them. My point is it was beautiful and easy. Several years ago I may have gotten upset but with Jesus it is easy.

And animals... Wow yes they're an amazing gift from God. I live isolated in remote Alaska. Yes we have big bears and like some poster stated they could eat you. They don't want to though. They prefer berries and fish, they are gentle even curious. Of course I respect them and stay far far away. But my point is they are beautiful and amazing. Then there are deer and moose and our domestic pets like horse who in mature move like they hear music. And dogs are just amazing!

Maybe the thing is life is easy for us because we have Jesus. Thus life is not easy for a nonbeliever.

I don't know but God bless you for sharing your heart.

I support and love you,
lexi
