Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12.

really, it's getting ludicrous.
this is Christianity 101.

Matthew 5:17
"Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. NLT

"Don't assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. - Holman

Romans 10
The Word of Faith Brings Salvation

1Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.2For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.3For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

5For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.6But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ (that is, to bring Christ down),7or ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”8But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.11For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;13for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

14How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?15How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”

16However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

...

Romans 1:17
I am Not Ashamed of the Gospel

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17For in it <<<<<THE GOSPEL the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

well then some might say...WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

1 Corinthians 15
1Now I would remind you, brothers,a of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

3For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 9For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

.......

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCRIPTURES?
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
THAT HE FULFILLED EVERYTHING WRITTEN ABOUT HIM THE LAW & PROPHETS?

what's in the Law & the prophets?

JESUS.

where does our righteousness come from? THE LAW & THE PROPHETS?
only in that are about CHRIST.

Romans 3:21
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.

Romans 3:22
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile

anyways.....whatever.

This .

Why are you just defining by yourself what isaiah is talking about? Anyway. Your theology never matches with what Jesus said. Tell you what. If the law was abolished at the cross 2000 years ago, then how come we were taught we are sinners?! Sin is the transgression of the law. And "where no law is, there is no transgressor"- romans 4:15.
Listen. I respect your decision of not wanting to keep the Law. But i will do as the Holy Bible commands. Even the catholic church admits that if protestants want to take the Holy Bible only as their sole faith, they should keep the Sabbath. "Whosoever commith sin is of the devil"- 1 john 3:8. I don't know about you, but now i am being convinced, that you want to be of the devil?! I for one, don't.
i am not defining anything by myself...i am using ordinary grammar and basic logic to understand what isaiah is saying...

isaiah is not talking about mandatory sabbath worship because he says they will come to worship 'from one sabbath to another'...this kind of phrasing includes all of the days in between...

an analogy would be a professor who says 'i will be available in my office from 1 PM to 3 PM'...obviously this means that the professor will be in the office for the entire time between 1 PM and 3 PM...it doesn't mean the professor will show up at the office at 1 PM and then go home and come back at 3 PM...

in the same way isaiah is not saying people will worship on the sabbath and then come back and worship on the next sabbath...he is saying they will worship continually on -all- the days in between...

i am not saying the law was abolished...but the law was observed -for us- by christ...whether we observe the law or not...we have christ's perfect observance of the law credited to our account by faith...

also...i don't base my doctrine on what the catholic church says...but apparently you do whenever it suits you...so much for 'babylon'...

Yep

They do this BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN.

People who are NOT SAVED, CAN:T DO THIS (they can pretend they do but they are fooling themselves) THUS THEY ARE LAWLESS..

What are gods commands?? LOVE LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW..

Only Gods CHILDREN have the capability of SHOWING TRUE LOVE, because we lobe because GOD FIRST LOVED US.

A non believe does not have the capacity to show love. they have yet to taste Gods love and be filled to GIVE to others out of GODS EXCESS.. they are STILL trying to fill the void in their lives which ONLY the LOVE OF GOD can FILL

Which is why, even when they appear to be obeying Gods commands, it is bloody rags, Because they are doing it for self not God. THUS THEY ARE LAWLESS..

I agree with that. Love compels us and enables us to do what Christ said. "IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS."

In other words, the Greek here is meaningless? The word Sabbatismos means space shuttle? You have an interesting method of exegesis...

1) Form an opinion
2) Ignore any fact contrary to rule 1
the context indicates what the author is talking about...

to him our sabbath rest is...
...a -promise- and not a commandment
...something we enter by faith
...and can be entered 'today'

everyone knows that 'remember the sabbath day' is a commandment and not a promise...but the author of hebrews is talking about a promise...so he must mean a different sabbath rest from the observance required by the commandment...

also everyone knows that people rested on the sabbath by refraining from work...but the author of hebrews is talking about a sabbath rest that you can enter by faith...so he must mean a different sabbath rest from the one that people enter by refraining from work...

finally everyone knows that you can only observe the saturday sabbath on saturday...but the author of hebrews is talking about entering into that rest 'today'...i don't know about you but here today is wednesday...if someone can enter into the sabbath rest the author is talking about on -wednesday- then obviously he is not talking about the saturday sabbath...

see some of us actually care about understanding what scripture means instead of misinterpreting it under a spirit of confusion...

Then you should agree, all people who are saved do this. thus this is talking about saved people. vs unsaved people. who can;t do this

This does not have anything to do with throwing aside a commandment of God. Obviously we will enter into His rest. But I don't know about you; I still have to work for a living. Hence, I rest on the sabbath.

Makes us free to go out and break every one of those Laws?
nobody said anything about going out and breaking every one of God's laws...

misrepresenting a person's view is a false testimony against your neighbor...

and there is a commandment that says not to give false testimony against your neighbor!

i thought you claimed to care about obeying the commandments...but i guess that is only when it is convenient for you...

I've no idea whatsoever what this means.

It means

Only saved people (those born of the spirit, Born again, Justified by FAITH, washed in the blood. Obey the commands, Thus this is speaking of ALL OF THEM.

It is NOT SAYING if you do this, you will be saved, it is saying you are doing this, because you are saved.

I agree with that. Love compels us and enables us to do what Christ said. "IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS."
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. so sir are you gonna completely go against this and continue to do what you do in thinking that is is pleasing to his sight? or will you accept that it is the truth and accept him. up to you.

Those that are a SHADOW of things are those that typified Christ. Had adam and eve never sinned, there would have been no Jesus on a cross. The Sabbath before sin is not the same as the sabbaths added to the Jews. Leviticus 23 mentions other sabbaths that jews were required to keep. If sabbath was abolished, why was Jesus concerned about it when He made His discourse of matthew 14? The fulfillment of the destruction of Jerusalem, was about 40 years AFTER the death of Christ, and Jesus clearly knew when this prophecy would be fulfilled, and YET He was still concerned ABOUT His Sabbath: "but pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day"- matthew 24:20
what does romans 3:31 mean to you? How can Scripture contradict Scripture?! No. That's impossible. Even to paul he knew that having faith does not release from your obligation to the law. "Shall we sin, because we are not under the law but under grace?" He answers his question: "God forbid"- romans 6:15
the sabbath was a type of our rest in christ...so it is a shadow...

like i said...in the same verse in colossians paul -already mentioned- the levitical sabbaths...since there is no reason for paul to list the same sabbaths twice...he must be talking about sabbaths -other than- the levitical sabbaths...and the only other sabbaths those could possibly be are the weekly saturday sabbaths...

maybe jesus was concerned that anyone fleeing on the sabbath would be stoned by pharisaical sabbath obsessed reprobates like you...

nobody is telling anyone to sin...but for a christian to break the sabbath is not a sin...because jesus broke the sabbath yet remained sinless...

His point is that not one of the other ten commandments is questioned. Only the sabbath law is ignored. Obviously, it is not convenient in this society or in the present day church to keep a 7th day sabbath. A person that does so gets called every name in the book by other supposed Christians. One does so because one believes what Christ said, and that was once again....

Matthew 5:19

So whoever sets aside any command that seems unimportant and teaches others to do the same will be unimportant in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches what the commands say will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Hence! Even if the sabbath commandment is the least important of God's commandments...

Here it is in the KJV since I'm sure the above translation will be immediately discounted.

Matthew 5:19 KJV King James Version

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

SOme people just never listen.

This makes a very big problem for you. If you say that the apostles left out Sabbath from this. BECAUSE THEY LEFT OUY SUNDAY! And they left out loving their enemies. They left out LOTS OF STUFF. Listen. Circumsicion made a great deal. Surely the Sabbath being changed into sunday would make a bigger deal. But we see no such BIG controversy over the Sabbath in the book of acts.
they didn't have to mention loving your enemies because jesus had already taught on that and it was already spelled out in the gospels...the apostles' letter dealt with the observances from the old testament law...

there is no record in scripture of a controversy over the sabbath because -nobody cared- whether you observed the sabbath or not...this confusion over the sabbath really only started in the nineteenth century...

What perverted interpretation? To keep it? On the 7th day of the week?
who is keeping it on the 7th?

No one I know of

the sabbath is a day of rest. not a day of worship.

that is his perverted interpretation. as also it was the jews perverted interpretation.
