"decisions, decisions..."GRA is right. I'm sure the poor guy has probably moved on from sandwiches and is now wanting you to order a pizza. No problemo!!
Except... Does he like it cut into 4, 6, or 8 slices.
D'OH!!!
... or a triple-decker ...You don't cut a sandwich unless it's a foot-long sub.

So my date asked me to make him a sandwich, but I don't know which way to cut it!
Would diagonal be too bold?
What if he likes it straight down the middle?
Would cutting it into 4 be trying too hard?
What if he hates crust?
Should I just make an assortment of cuts?
Serious answers only please!
No no no....look at all the cheese dripping in grease on the first one.......that's the superior pizza
I'm not a huge fan of pepperoni. I like it, but only sometimes. It's okay with other stuff on it, though.
Pizzas aren't sandwiches.
How did pizzas get into the sandwich thread?
This is teetering on bad theology.
Pizzas are not open faced sandwiches.
A pizza is a pie.
The women of CC clearly don't know enough about sandwiches.
A very sad state of affairs.
Very sad indeed.
I'll pray for you.
A pizza is in the shape of a pie, but it could be said it's an open faced sandwich as well. Either way, women on this site don't know a lot about sandwiches. Which is why poor Emily had to seek our counsel!
Man... now I want pizza for dinner again! Sigh.
Aimee,
There are clearly some holes in your sandwich doctrine.
A pizza isn't just round like a pie.
It has all the other features of a pie as well, and it is even cooked in an oven.
A pizza has no pre-made bread like a sandwich...
the "bread" of the pizza, much like a pie, is only dough until all ingredients are cooked together.
I am truly saddened by your lack of understanding of the sandwich,
which has become, by virtue of it's humble perfection,
the undergirding of all Western civilization.
I take my sandwiches any which way, because I'm not very picky. Otherwise, I eat it whole, or just plain down the middle.
