Jesus - PERFECT
Men - Human, prone to mistakes and stupidity jk jk!!
I must weigh in on the men's opinions with this one. How can you blame a man for eating when you put the cake in front of him? You can't blame a fish for biting the hook if the worm's on it and waiting. So you can't blame a man for his lustful thoughts when you walk by in all your glory. We as women need to take into account their struggle and do our best to make sure the way we present ourselves is glorifying to God, and not going to cause them to stumble.
As a young woman, I understand how our minds work. And sometimes it seems like if we don't have a little skin showing, it's not attractive. IDK why it feels that way, it just does! lol And I think that WITHIN REASON it's alright - but if you are starting to show off a little more than is acceptable, we should question ourselves as to why we feel the need to do this. Besides, women and girls fashion right now is anything BUT revealing! It's all about layering and jeans and hoodies and scarves and things I don't even know what to call! It seems like the age of the mini skirt is slowly dying (hallelujah!) There really is no reason for women now to go around with super low cut shirts and tiny tiny shorts. It's degrading - TO US! Why would we want to create a cheap version of us?
And I know thats not what the author of this thread was trying to get at. And if I understand correctly, I agree with her. Within reason, a little skin is ok - but if we are flaunting the upstairs and downstairs, then we are only looking cheap - not attractive.
If the issue here is feeling femanine and attractive, then there is NO problem for a women to shop and find beautiful outfits, without dressing like a temptaional smorgasbord (yikes). We deserve better for ourselves, just as the men in our lives deserve not to have us taunt them. I don't think we realize how hard it is for them at times. So taking that temptaion away is the RIGHT thing to do - and it's soooo easy!
lol I am sooo happy you don't think the potato sack is a good idea 1still_waters! I wouldn't be able to go for that - besides those are super itchy! And the whole no ankles or arms idea - PULEEEEEZE! That is when I start to say get some self control. I want to be able to wear my knee length shorts and not have to worry lol!!
THERE IS NO REASON FOR SPEECH SKIRTS GIRLS! (long enough to cover the point, but short enough to keep it interesting!) There is a difference between wearing clothes that fit, and clothes that are like a second skin. (one difference being comfort lol) CLothes now aren't aimed at showing it all off - dress respectably! You deserve to keep your standards up there just as they deserve to have some more effort on our part! As long as we steer clear of low cut tops, overly tight shirts and short short skirts/shorts - we should be plenty able to feel femanine and pretty but keeping things modest and easier for our boys!
