KJV, first of all C.S. Lewis was an Anglican, not a Catholic. Secondly, Catholics are Christians. Just as with all Christian denominations some are genuine, some aren't.

He was a catholic, a lost catholic and extremely confused, pay no attention to the snarls of "the dog pack." C.S LEWIS lost.
Ah, so now you're calling people dogs? I see. Very classy and convincing. And you know of course know what state he was in spiritually when he died? If you claim to know that sir, you are the "extremely confused" one. Lewis was in fact not a Catholic, though he had many Catholic friends. I happen to have a Catholic friend, by the way, and I am so un-Catholic that our friendship is really a bit comical looking to outsiders. Hanging out and being friends with Catholics and being even admired by Catholics doesn't make you Catholic. Do you think C.S. Lewis failed to be a true Christian in real life? So be it, but don't claim to know his relationship to Christ on his deathbed. In case you don't remember a certain thief...

The author C.S LEWIS was not nor ever was a christian, yet wolves in the pulpits and false psuedo christians love to quote him ( not the bible ) Quotes from heretic anti christ C.S LEWIS -
A - "Humans are amphibians,half spirit and half animal - C.S LEWIS
B - "I have the deepest respect for pagan myths, still more for myths in the Holy Scriptures" (PP pg 71 C.S LEWIS)
This is the attitude of a devil and a non believer, now its true that some believers may be naive or deceived, however the third option is that they themselves are lost pagans posing as believers just as C.S LEWIS did.
- Not only was C.S LEWIS a fraud and a wolf, so is every other beguiler who promotes him or any other deceiver associated with him. Any "pastor" who attempts to use C.S LEWIS quotes, books or movies to show spiritual truth is a wolf (dog packer)
- Many false psuedo christians like to quote anti christ C.S LEWIS, yet seldom ever quote the Bible, they expose themselves as clearly not serving the Lord Jesus Christ who says -" He that is of God heareth Gods words,ye therefore hear them not because ye are not of God" John 8 verse 47
- Concerning C.S LEWIS and the gullible dupes who quote and follow his " earthly, sensual, devilish" wisdom, Micheal Cruz notes ( JAMES 3 verse 15) - "C.S. LEWIS was a pretender. He pretended to be a believer. If people studied their bibles they would not believe the garbage these men put up."
Aren't you Mr. Doom. I say that because the Bible does not say that you can't use quotes from other people. GOD can use even the most wicked of men to convey a message to HIS followers. There are things that Joel Olsteen said that I needed to hear at that particular moment, but I would never praise him because he is a lost man. I always wondered why C.S. Lewis used mythical creatures to portray the good guys. That never sat well with my spirit. I will have to search this out more, but I do hold stock to what you've said. I quote Lewis though and I'm not a wolf. I like it when Asland says that nothing happens the same way twice even though that exact scene happened twice, but just not in the same way. GOD never repeats HIMSELF the same way because something different always comes out of it even if they are the same words and situations. HIS word repeats certain things many times but each time what it repeats means something different.

“A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.”

Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.

I don't think Lewis said that but all the same, it's a good, thought-provoking quote.

First of all C.S. Lewis was a Christian, I don't know who is misleading you, but please stop listening to them. I don't know where you are getting your false information from. Also, that your avatar is in capital letters, does not help as well. I have read Mere Christianity and it gives an outline of what the Christian faith is. God bless.

" Lewis says sincere unbelievers will go to heaven... Some heathen may belong to God without knowing it. There are people in other religions who are being led by Gods secret influence, to concentrate those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity, and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it. For example a Buddhist of good will may be led more and more on the Buhhdist teaching of mercy and to leave in the backround ( though he might still say he believed ) the Buhhdist teaching on certain points. Many of the good Pagans long before Christs birth may have been in this position."( pages 176 , 177)

- OHHHHHHH ME OHHHHH MYYYYY!!!!! - More rotten fruit from anti christ heretic C.S LEWIS:cool:

More satanic quotes from devil C.S LEWIS " when the consequence is drawn that, since we are totally depraved, our idea of good is simply nothing - may thus turn christianity into a form of devil worship." C.S LEWIS (The Problem of Pain page 37, 38) -
- The Bible says you shall know them by their fruits - Matt 7 verses 16 - 18

C.S LEWIS in his OWN WORDS - They are all easily found, the vast majority of christians are either just blind, willingly blind to CS LEWIS, or seduced by his witchcraft. The truth is too tough for some, and my life is not a popularity contest. C.S LEWIS is worshipped by "men" - LUKE 16 verse 15 - That which is HIGHLY ESTEEMED AMONG MEN IS AN ABOMINATION to the Lord. - This is obvious, he was a wolf. God is sending strong delusion ( 2nd THESS chpter 2 ) they reject the bible, and feast on the words of a man who says its a myth.... In his own words. Yours in Christ Kristofor

Let's look at this like a baseball game. We have a batter hitting foul balls, while the rest of the "team" sits in the dugout crying out "foul!" I would suggest quit crying foul & go to the plate yourself. When he's not on here "batting", I see none of the dissenters trying to get off the bench, let alone hitting a home run for the team. Benchsitters don't win the game. At least he's making an effort. Where's yours?

CS Lewis brilliant but over-praised. There were apologists and authors of Christian literature who had every bit as great a handle on Christianity as Lewis. He was wrong about things and should not be followed to the letter.

To call him a wolf though is a ridiculous preposition. The man was a Christian whose unbiblical qualities were wrought from distractions pertinent to his profession. Surely some of us can get off our high horse and relate to that...

I think when it comes to people like Lewis, it's not always what he's done to the church, but what the church has done with him.

As a teenage christian, I didn't even know who he was. But about 15 or so years ago, you could find his writings in christian bookstores. Who elevated him to such a high status? The church did. Now they will swallow almost anything instead of reading their Bibles. The biggest sellers are chick romance stories with christianese undertones in them.

A C.S. Lewis Quote
And how is he incorrect here? By equipping a man who has no values with an education, you simply make him more knowledgeable and more dangerous. Without values such knowledge can be misused and is like casting pearls before swine. For example... Adolf Hitler. What values he might have had were overshadowed by lunacy.

So its better to foolishly spout misinterpretations and half truths than to remain silent?
