Can't name child "Messiah" judge tells parents

This is blasphemy ! The judge just did the right thing ! Congratulations judge ! The True Messiah will thank you for eternity for that ! Not any Christian in their good sense would like to be called the sacred name, would you ?
Poor child deserved to be protected from the great foolishness of his parents !

A long time ago, I remember some people wanted to call their child satan !!!:eek: And what is greatly disturbing is that Christians, yes, " Christians " would say they'd have no problem those people calling their child satan. That is clearly greatly disturbing ( can't find the right words to express my feelings ) and this clearly shows the end of times is nigh...

It's kind of like naming a boy Joshua. Joshua in Hebrew is "Jesus" or a savior or deliverer.

Yes, but the mother is not giving the child the title. To her it is his name. Nowhere in the article did it say the child was a messiah. In this context it is his name. A name that I don't recommend anyone naming a child, but its still a name.

Besides, the judge violated the parents rights by doing that. Even if I agreed it was blasphemy(and I understand why you feel how you do) the judge was still in the wrong according to our rights in the US.
 
The reason why this was brought before a judge was the parents could not decide on a last name for this child. I presume another situation of illegitimacy with parents both with different last names.

If I remember correctly the judge said in the article, this is the first time she has changed the first name of a child.

While I can agree with her reasonings, I am not sure I want judges changing names of babies, but in this culture where marriage is passe I guess judges will be doing these things in the future.

Funny how a marriage would have cured all of this problem...eh?
 
I bet all this had to do with child support too. The fathers name isn't on the birth certificate so child support had to prove paternity.
 
If you wanna name your child something really weird. That should be your prerogative.

I would agree, except for the completely psychotic nature of the people of United States of America. People like Heath Campbell of New Jersey, for example...
