How is this on the 4th page??

The fact that threads are brought up from years ago just rub me the wrong way. It's better to make a new topic about it with people that you know are still active.

It's all because the lovely Aimee revealed that she's never seen Ghostbusters. ;)

as for the old threads, I completely agree. However, in the defense of those who like to resurrect old threads, when I first got here I didn't really know how forums worked, so I would do a search based on a particular topic, find an interesting thread, and fire away with my thoughts, all while neglecting to notice the ancient time stamp of the thread. Whoops. :p

On another note, how's everyone doing? :D

I'm experiencing a severe case of "I want to rearrange the furniture, but I don't want to mess with all the cords and stuff to the TV and various other electronic equipment that I will probably break if I attempt to figure it out".

So, as far as threads go, apparently "vintage" or "antique" do not increase their value.

I've been there. I usually surrender to my laziness and forfeit the attempt, but one time I was especially determined. I took pictures of the cords and their corresponding slots, and used masking tape to label cords that were harder to identify. It took a while, but it made the reassembly process much easier. I learned that trick from constant rearranging of stage sound equipment. Thanks to labels and pictures I can now disassemble and reassemble a drumset in record time (for me, anyway!)

MissCriss, I have also seen using those plastic bread...topper, tie, tag things (yeah I don't know what they're called) and writing on that, and sliding it onto the chord. Google image of what I'm talking about:

Oh yeah! The bread tie idea is great for cords that are slim enough. :) hope you find a helpful fix!

This just baffles me.

People will come through the drive through at the bank where I work, send in a wad of cash, and tell me to deposit it into their account. When I ask them to verify how much cash I have, there are some who shrug and say, "Uh...I don't know" and give a little laugh.

I don't think they realize what a horrible idea that is. What if they have $300 there and I decided to take $100 for myself and deposit the $200? They'd have no idea. That's why it's important to verify how much you have, so you know how much should be deposited. Not that I would take their money, but it's a precaution for them for me to ask and for them to know.
