And byyyyyyy the way!

Had a chat with Mia on Wednesday night. Dropped in on her just after 5 on her campus. We talked. Talked some more. Looked at my watch. Oops, 7:15! I'm missing bible study, I guess...up for grabbing a bite to eat? Om nom nom talk talk talk and FIVE 'TIL NINE!? Wow, time flies...

She's good company. There's definitely potential. I'm not crushing yet, but that might be because I'm actively suppressing my tendency to crush on pretty women who are nice to me. The age difference is probably factoring into that as well...I just can't help but be cautious at this point.

But at this point, she doesn't hate me, I don't think. She seems to enjoy my company.

Like I said. Potential. ^_^

(As you recall, Bianca, our orchestra director, had a big hand in this. You know people are talking to much when her husband sees me in the parking lot, and the first thing he says is, "Hey Mr. Nohe! How's it going with Mia?" *facehoof*)

Good! I'm glad things are going well. :) I'm sure Mia enjoys your company, so just keep going. If nothing else you'll end up with a good friend. Not your end game, I know, but I'm rooting for you!

If y'all get married, you'll have to let me know where to send the present. :D

Not sure I have an endgame yet. Still learning the rules. But you and I are on the same page - I've been aching for a friend "like me," and I haven't found that in my church. Age difference aside, we're single, practicing Christians, and that's what I lack. Her being a fellow music educator is like icing on the cake.

If y'all get married, you'll have to let me know where to send the present. :D
If we get married, I promise to invite you. ^_^

For a second, I was wracking my brain, thinking, "Is that from an opera I should know? Donizetti? Strauss??"

Well, I'm not quite there yet. But it is a nice thought. Unless you were referring to yourself. ^_^

Shouryu, it sounds like Mia does like you :). Personally I wouldn't act the way she has unless I liked a guy or thought of him as a close friend at least; I would've thought of an excuse not to get something to eat together. Not sure if this helps, but I know it's often easier to see if you're not the one with the emotional involvement, so I thought I'd mention it. I'd seen the other posts you made about her, and reading the update was nice :).

Oh, and the fact that the first thing she asked Bianca about you was whether or not you're a Christian was awesome :).

I have a mole tearing up my yard. Anyone know the best way to get rid of it? I really don't want to shoot it.... :(

Maybe we should just let this die....

Anyway, I really like coming across totally misplaced posts in a thread. I'll be reading along, each post at least mostly related to the topic, and BAM! A new person busts in and praises the Lord...which is fine, of course, but um...why right there?

Now it's like I'm saying, "Ok, if you're going to be singing songs to Jesus, please stand to the side there...woops, a little further...theeeere you go, great, thanks! Carry on. Ok, back to the conversation."

Really, I'm not. It's just...entertaining...and what I'm saying is coming across poorly.

Considering a lot of things, I think this thread should die as well.
