Jimmy, no body said that there were 2 gods. My point was that they believe in God before all the prophecies were fulfilled through Christ. There was an understanding about God before the revelation of Christ. The Muslims and the Jews are still stuck in the OT. But even then, only the first few books of the OT. That's probably why they don't get the prophecies and revelation of Christ. Get my drift, controversy boy? lol Peace
The fact remains that their founder, the "prophet" Mohommed, was raised by Christians and lived among them all his life believing in the same God.
I already answered this in detail and you ignored it because it exposed you as a dishonest poster.

What upsets me is people pushing the idea that we worship the same God as the Muslim do and many are believing it. Do not believe this lie. Do your homework brother!P.S- Sorry for saying that you don't know enough about them. Didn't mean to upset you. God bless, brother.
Going by your logic, the modern day Jews worship the wrong god too. Is that correct?Who was stuck???
As you said in the earlier thread, Mohammad is the founder of Islam... When did he found it, during Abraham days or after resurrection of Jesus?
Your Logic that their God is the God of Abraham is true provided that they were in the days of Abraham when they were founded...
You see the God of Abraham, Is also the God of Isaac and Jacob, Who sent His Son Jesus the Messiah. (This is the God known in Christianity even before Mohammad founded Islam not just god of Abraham)
Islam choose a different god, Coz their god does not have a Son...
But since Catechism teaches and you insist that they are the same...Maybe you do worship the god of Muslim.
Jesus said..
Joh 14:7 If ye hadknown me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him,and have seen him.
From when...HENCEFORTH.....
...The True God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who sent his Son Jesus...
From the very day Islam was founded, their god was different.
comparing their god to the true God is clear blasphemy.
and I say....you be careful...
but then again Catholics and Muslim worship the same god, are they not?
Ok I'll post up what information I have tonight. I'm at work. But just one question. What religion were all these people?
I don’t know where you get your “facts” but the above statement is incorrect. Mohammed was the son of Abdullah and Amina. He never knew his father. His mother died when he was 6 years old and was put in the care of his grandfather Abd al-Muttalib. His grandfather died two years later and then he was placed in the care of his uncle Abu Talib. He was not raised by Christians as you assume.
Here’s a link to the biography of Mohammed.

BTW, Muslim people even claim that the prophet Mahommed was raised by Christians for much of his childhood. But I suppose you'll say they don't know what they're talking about.

Just on the name "Allah", I found this, which I knew but couldn't explain properly. Its worded perfectly for you to see. Its a lot more understandable and applicable if you speak Arabic:
Professor A. Guilluame, an expert in the studies of the Islamic religion, says the worship of the moon god was rampant in Arabia at the time of Muhammad. According to him, the moon god had several names -- one of which was "Allah."
Do you believe what history records? Or do you believe what people say? From my studies I have not found anything to substantiate their claims.

Should Christians Use Allah in Bible Translation?
by Joshua Massey
The question of translating God as Allah is hotly debated in non-Arab lands, where many sincere Christians are convinced Allah is a false god. Ironically, this debate doesn’t exist for Arab Christians, who have continually translated elohim and theos (the primary terms for God in Biblical Hebrew and Greek) as Allah from the earliest known Arabic Bible translations in the eighth century till today. Most scholars agree that Allah is the Arabic cognate of the Biblical Aramaic elah and Hebrew eloah, which is the singular of elohim, a generic word for God used throughout the Old Testament. In fact, it is nearly impossible for linguists to determine which of these three terms appeared first in the Ancient Near East, or if they all derived from a hypothesized proto-Semitic language. Though precise origins are uncertain, ancient usage is not. As in English, the Bible uses elah and elohim for both the Most High God and false gods—English uses an upper or lower case “g” to distinguish between these two. By contrast, Muslims never use Allah to refer to a false god, but only the One True God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
