Hey there, everyone I don't know :)

I logged on today and noticed a handful of new names, and was all, "Whoooo are these people?!"

So, I don't know how many of you are really planning to hang around, but hey, why not stop in through here and tell us something about yourself? Say, maybe two or three facts about yourself.

(If this thread is just yet another flop, I'm blaming it on...the invisible moose).

I don't think I can top Zaoman, especially on the mating calls, but here's a thing or two about me -

1) I have two girls - 14 and 10 - and they are my life. After a lifetime of bad choices, I trusted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in June of 2010. I have made a LOT of mistakes in my life, but He has set me on the right path ... I still go through hard times, don't get me wrong. They are just a LOT easier to face because I pray about them, and finally let God step in with His perfect timing.

2) I love to mow grass. It's just me, my John Deere and God out there cuttin' up ... lol. I've had some of the best conversations with God on that lawn mower!

3) I am low maintenance on the outside, and high maintenance on the inside. Sounds weird, but that's how I would describe myself. I have a lot of internal scars that I'm trusting Jesus to minister to, and He hasn't let me down yet and I know He never will. I finally get what He is trying to tell me ... He completely heals, 100%, but it is not going to happen overnight. Only in His time ... which is perfect.

Thanks for letting me play! ;)

Hi MissCris! I've been looking for a place to interact with others, and stumbled in here last night. Love it already. :)

I'm a professional artist and a part-time children's ministry director.
I have been divorced (I sooo hate that word!) for a year now and am still kinda getting used to being on my own.
I have two fabulous daughters who bring me great joy!

Here's a bonus:

The Lord has been SO GRACIOUS with me the last two years. His love for me is humbling and blows my mind every time I think of it. He truly is my Provider - in every way imaginable.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Thats awesome, I love the cutting grass part :D I too love it. Even as a kid, using a push mower, my parents would never have to ask me twice about mowing. I used to mow the grass on my own accord when it needed it.

1) Adopted Irish, born in South Korea and came to the States at age 4.

2) I served in the Air Force for 4 years as an F-15 mechanic/system specialist (navigation/radios/electronic warfare)

3) I love the outdoors, and speed...I once bought a brand new 4 wheeler and wrecked it the first 30 minute

I can only ever think of Dwight Schrute from The Office when I hear the word "fact".

FACT.

Two things that have something to do with me, vaguely:

Coffeeeee.
Swedish Chef.

I really think we might have scared all the new people away at this point.

It's those pesky kthlandumgidnamites. If Zao would just leave them alone, but noooo, he's gotta get them coming in here all wound up and ready to go...

I live in Kentucky.
I hunt kthlandumgidnamites.
I don't do mating calls at all...especially when around those women at church who make it their life's work to get me married.

By the way, I should apologize in advance (or perhaps "belatedly" since I'm already well on my way) for popping in and doing a big ol' belly flop right in the middle of the pool with no intro or warning. I'm afraid I'm one of those obnoxious never-met-a-stranger sorts of people who have no concept of lurking or dipping my toes in quietly. You all seem wonderful and I just can't wait to get to know you better and be part of your (on-line) lives. ;)

It's all good, doll. A good number of us (myself included) actually started that way, with no introduction or "I'm new here" sort of post. It seems to me that the people who just dive right in actually tend to stick around longer than those who actually stop and introduce themselves. Just keep on diving right in. We might disagree sometimes, but we're all brothers and sisters here. ^_^

(Also, some of us, present company included, come off as shameless flirts. Because we are. But it's not because we're actually trying to hook up. We're always playing around and just being friendly. No big deal, yo.)

Hey grace, you are a positive person and a fun person (as much fun as you can be on a forum). I hope you plan on sticking around. I think I might be making this a new home rather then spending my time on those old hockey forums where I generally get involved in pointless banter about my team (Detroit Redwings) and how great Pavel Datsyuk is.

I just wish there was more activity on these forums.

Thanks Shouryu! I feel better. And light-hearted banter is just what I need. It took me longer than it should have to realize that I don't need a dating site or a support group, etc. I just need companionship and a sense of belonging. (I work almost exclusively with kids and don't have much adult interaction.) A forum is perfect for that. :)
