This has nothing to do with being single, nor is it deep or meaningful. But, I'm curious to know.

Here's how it started: My dad and I were watching a sitcom, and the guy was brushing his teeth. When he was done, he just walked out with his wife into another room. I made the comment, "He didn't even rinse his mouth out afterwards!" My dad looked at me and said, "...I don't." "You don't??" I thought that was something everyone did. I also had a roommate who rinsed her mouth out afterwards with hot water, which I thought was strange. I get weird looks when I tell people I always wash my hands in cold water, even in the winter.

So, here are my questions, and feel free to ask some of your own! Yes, I'm in a strange mood.

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?

I rinse my mouth out with warm-ish water after I brush my teeth.
I wash my hands in water that's almost too hot to touch.
Toilet paper must be OVER or else people start getting killed around here...
Whichever shoe I find first goes on first. I wear flip-flops most of the time, so I don't untie them...but, I only untie tied shoes if I can't get my foot out.

Where do you keep your kitchen/dish towel? On the fridge handle? On the counter? Where?
Mine goes on the fridge handle, and so help anyone who moves it.

Usually don't rinse out with water. Usually don't worry about water temp unless its freezing outside then I use hot. I don't ever pay attention but its usually over. My shoes are usually slipped off still tied. I have several kitchen towels: fridge door, over door, and elsewhere.

Nice, questions!

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
Yes
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
Neither; I use mouthwash
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
Cold in the summer, warm in the winter
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
Over
- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
Left
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?
While still tied usually. There are some shoes that can't really be taken off while tied, like chuck taylor high tops.

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?

I rinse twice after brushing.

- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?

Whatever temp is running at the time. Usually warm.

- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?

Hot.

- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?

OVER. It's the only way!

- Right shoe or left shoe on first?

You know, I've never noticed...

- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?

I toe them off with my other foot. My shoes stay tied 100% of the time.

Well, I mostly just spit out the toothpaste , rinsing it out would lessen the effect
Living in Scotland I can normally choose between scalding hot or ice cold :( In Norway I'd use lukewarm/ warm water
I don't have a holder thingy so it sits on the side on a shelf
No idea
I only untie them if I wear boots

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
Yes. :)

- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
Tepid or warm, but only because I have it turned on so the water will warm up so I can wash my face, which I do after I brush my teeth in the morning and evening. :)

- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
If it's really cold, I'll wait for water to get warm or hot before washing my hands, but I usually just turn it on and wash with soap and go. :)

- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
Under every time...I don't know why, it's just the way I like it.

- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
I think it is primarily the right shoe first, though I don't really notice. If I reach for the left, I'll do that. It works either way, but I believe that I tend to place my right sock and shoe on first.

- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?
Never, never untie. I hate to waste time tying and untying my shoes, though if they come untied during the day and I retie them, they can oftentimes be too tight to slip on in the morning, which makes me sad. :)

OVER IS THE ONLY WAY.

:p

(But no, really. It's the only way.)
Funny. :)

But seriously, under is the best...though I don't know why. :D My mom and I have different views on this, too, so, yeah. Thankfully, it's not a crazy thing...it just works out that when I put the roll on, I put it under. If someone else puts it over, I don't flip it around or anything. I'm not crazy about it...though, I think by me over explaining this, I may be a touch crazy...just a touch. :D

I can come up with many good reasons why it is better to have it roll over. I would REALLY like to hear ANY good reasons for under, rather than preference. Seriously, are there any?

I think that the human body was actually designed to work with an over-rolling toilet paper method.

I mean, our arms are built so that we can just kind of flop them over there and start the roll spinning in the correct direction. Then, the paper itself is already pointed in your direction and within easy reach. When the roll is under-spinning it is working against gravity and causing us to burn way too many calories, plus throwing off our equilibrium with it's backward ways.

Our human eyes are made so that we don't see well in the dark (at midnight, then at 3am, then at 6am), but with an over-rolling roll, it's no matter, because the paper is just right there. No need to go searching underneath the roll for where ever the end of the paper may have ended up.

Our instincts also support over-rolling. When we swipe at something, we swipe downward. It's natural. Well, a high-five is swiped upward, but that's at chest level, not knee level. No one ever swipes at knee level with an upward motion.

Have you ever had to spin the roll with your foot? Well, neither have I, but can you imagine trying to do it with the roll turned under? Yeah.

I may need to add this to my eHarmony requirements, along with honesty and must-love-tulips. It's just that important.

Haha! This is a funny post.

- I always rinse my mouth with cold water after I brush my teeth. I'm weird because if I swallow a tiny bit of toothpaste I'll gag. It always happens!
- I wash my hands with warm water. I always have cold hands though, plus I feel like the warm water rinses the soap away better. Maybe it's mental.
- Toilet paper goes whichever way I put it in. I don't really try to make it go one way or the other, just as long as I have toilet paper!
- Never thought about which shoe I put on first! Whichever one I grab first I guess.
- I usually untie my high tops because I can't get out of them if I don't. If I'm wearing sneakers I just slip out of them still tied.

I think I'm just reeeaaalllllyyyy laid back.

{SNIPPAH DE QUESTIONS!}

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?

- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
- Right shoe or left shoe on first?

Rinse: Yes. Also usually follow up with Listerine-type solution.
Temp: I prefer warm water, since I have a couple of metal fillings.
Hands: I prefer warm water, but I'll take what I can get.
Tissue: Over.
Shoes: *thinks...pauses...thinks some more...brain explodes*
Tied/Untied: Depends on my day.

I can come up with many good reasons why it is better to have it roll over. I would REALLY like to hear ANY good reasons for under, rather than preference. Seriously, are there any?
Owning playful cats. I'm not a cat person, hence why I can stick with over, but if you have an easily fascinated cat and you don't want all of your TP unrolled and piled next to the commode, going under saves you that trouble.

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth? Rinse. Its even in the instructions.
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water? Warm. I hate swishing cold water around after brushing.
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands? Hot. Hot water helps kill bacteria. Why use cold water when hot water has more benefits to clean?
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under? Over... duh.
- Right shoe or left shoe on first? Right.
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied? Shove them off. Only time i tie shoes is when they come untied. I've been doing this for at least 20 years.
Ok, i gave all the most sane answers. Lets see what everyone else says =P

That may be one of the most thorough... bizarre.... and awesome responses to that question ever... hahahaha
