And...none of this proves he is guilty of murder. Are we just going to roast poor george until there is nothing left of him?

Well, except the whole deal about the leaves being dumped into the storm drain. Capital crime.

Yeah, I thought of a funnier one. It was a better response to #25.

It's common for criminal and civil trials to be filed over the same incident. You have to understand David that anyone can file a civil lawsuit against anyone.

I can go down to the courthouse and file a civil lawsuit against you for a trillion dollars right now because you said 'U mad bro?' LOL, it's going to immediately be tossed out of court, of course, by the first judge that sees it who would most likely treat me with contempt for bringing it and imo I'd end up having to pay your legal costs, court costs, and maybe even a fine and/or damages but the point is that anyone can file a lawsuit.

When identical issues are being litigated in civil and criminal proceedings, courts typically stay the civil matter until the criminal case is decided. This is because allowing the criminal case to proceed first, as most judges prefer, has its advantages, and one can hear the witnesses and see the strategy of the defense prior to going to trial in the civil matter.

Zimmerman’s attorneys have been preparing for civil lawsuits against their client since even before the start of the criminal trial. Defense attorney Mark O’Mara had said he would seek immunity for Zimmerman if civil suits “spawned by this fiasco” are filed and pursued a pretrial strategy that was designed, at least in part, to avoid any risk of not being able to claim immunity in future civil lawsuits.

So, a motion to dismiss any civil case against Zimmerman from the incident will be made based on Florida’s heavily discussed “stand your ground” law. In Florida, if a defendant successfully asserts a “stand your ground” defense and is acquitted, the defendant in question is granted immunity from a subsequent civil suit. Zimmerman would have immunity from that point on for the incident and that would be that.

The problem for the Zimmerman lawyers is that the recently completed case is not really a “stand your ground” case, despite the persistent echoes in the media that it is. Zimmerman's lawyers made sure he could claim immunity in a later civil trial BUT Zimmerman's lawyers waived the pre-trial “stand your ground” hearing so it has yet to be determined by a court if "stand your ground" immunity applies to this case. So a civil trial still could be made against Zimmerman though it would most likely fail and Zimmerman granted immunity. Basically, a lot of money would be spent against Zimmerman that would accomplish nothing.

Now this planned lawsuit, the one you linked to, is a wrongful termination suit being brought by the medical examiner, Dr. Shiping Bao, who was changing his testimony and who was fired.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Zimmerman other than his case was the one it happened over. Bao is obviously angry and has hired a really good lawyer known for getting results. So, this latest chapter in the ongoing saga should be interesting.

In my opinion, the $100 million he's asking is totally over the top and it's hard to imagine the end result will be anything approaching such a fantastic sum.

It's all coming out now.

the AG kept evidence from the defence team...why is she still employed?

The Zimmerman case was and is all about politics.

Thank you Mr President for leading us to destroy a man's life because he was stupid enough to kill a black youth who was trying to kill him. He shoulda waited until it was a white youth, then he would not be on the hot seat.

Politics and racism...ahh the democrat platform!

It's all coming out now.

I agree with you, it's all coming out now! The medical examiner didn't do a very did good job. If this new evidence is true, then the medical examiner committed a very serious crime - purjury! Do you really want to trust the word of someone who is now filing a lawsuit based upon the claim that he committed purjury?

I'm going to go through a detailed list of all of the facts that didn't come out that probably should have, please read them thoroughly, it took me quite some time to read all of this, and none of it was readily available. I didn't get any of this from mainstream media. You may Google them all to see if they are true or not.

But let's look at what the examiner may have missed (aside from how long TM was alive after he was shot). How about the evidence that Trayvon had THC in his system and the fact that they didn't check for DXM abuse? Or the fatty tissue buildup on TM's liver that is a symptom of long term DXM abuse (yes, it was found within normal conditions, but it's a symptom). He could have died 5 years later from cirrosis at the rate he was going.

Trayon is on record as asking people on youtube for where to get codeine to make stronger "drank." Now he didn't understand that the dextromethorphan in cough medicine isn't the same as codeine, and in fact there are some in the drug community that are up in arms saying if he was on drank he would be more mellow - that would be true, if it was made from codeine. Otherwise, the stuff made from cough medicine can make you turn quite violent and paranoid (kind of like bath salts actually, I guess that's what happens when you pump toxic chemicals into your body at doses that were never safe). Then again I find the arguments from those in the drug community to be well, stupid.

This drank thing is a huge blunder on the media's part. It should have come out. DXM can act like PCP in some people. The Iced tea he bought that fateful night? It wasn't iced tea, it was Arizona watermelon drink. Arizona watermelon drink + skittles + cough medicine = drank based upon dxm.

Lets see how innocent this child was:
-Gets suspended from school and is only there with his dad because he was found with wacky weed in his locker (along with stolen property which the school didn't want to report becasue it would be politically incorrect).
-Said innocent kid looks at amateur MMA street fights on youtube
-Said innocent kid has text messages where he tells someone he's upset about a fight he had because the other guy (and I quote this literally here) "didn't bleed enough"
-Said innocent kid assaults his bus driver
-Said innocent kid has pictures of himself holding a handgun (but he was smart though, he didn't show his face). He wasn't 21, and I promise that gun wasn't legal any ways
-Said innocent kid has texts with a friend where his friend said "you're turning into a lil hoodlum", and he responds no, he's turning into a gangster
-Said innocent kid asks people on youtube where to find codeine for stronger drank
-Said innocent kid has text messages where he talks about hanging out with people who have "stacks" (each stack is a grand in cash). Sounds like he hung with a drug dealing crowd doesn't it?

And here are two last factsl. He told his friend that night that some creepy cracker was following him (Zimmerman). I guess the crime may have indeed been racially motivated, we've got at least one racist on record that night. The other statement? From the evidence pieced together, one of the jurors is even on record as saying that TM had reached his father's house before doubling back to confront Zimmerman.

Both Zimmerman and Martin made some really dumb choices that night. Zimmerman should have stayed in his car (even though he wasn't legally obligated), and Martin shouldn't have met force with force. I guess he figured he could take the "creepy cracker" who he thought was stalking him. Remember, it takes two people to have a fight.

Next you're going to start telling me actions don't have consequences.:P

Like attacking an armed man...wether or not you knew he was armed or not.

Like persecuting a man for making the mistake of defending his own life from a black youth in the anti-gun, anti-''white'', environment of the Obama disaster, I mean administration.

Like the attorney general stepping in, arresting Zimmerman without evidence and then denying full access to what little evidence they had to the defense team, clearly against the law.

Like the continual portrayal of Martin as some 12 yr old little boy in a pristine hoodie, who was just some innocent little kid racially profiled by some, obviously (????? ) bigoted white guy.

Thing is the pic shown over and over in the news was Martin as a kid, not as a 17 yr old 6 ft tall very angry young man

Thing is Zimmerman is hispanic.

Like promoting an enviroment that victimizes african american and other minorities in this country and vilifies evil white conservative CHRISTIAN men and women, who work hard, live under the law and would not let their 17 yr old who has had disciplinary problems, out at night by himself.

Servantstrike, so smoking marijuana makes a person violent?

Did you actually read my entire post or did you see something you didn't like and skip to the end. Please don't do that, it took time to write.

Did you read the part where I mentioned DXM (dextromethorphan) abuse? That can and does make people violent. It's been likened to PCP (or angel dust for the druggies). Trayvon Martin in his own words was an abuser of "Drank", or he wouldn't have asked someone where to find codeine (which would make proper rapper style "Drank" or Sizzurup).

I read the whole thing. Don't get your knickers in a knot. You've certainly presented a whole bunch of one sided facts, that I have actually heard before. A lot of circumstantial evidence that doesn't prove anything.

But you've decided Trayvon had to die. There was no way out of it. Trayvon had to die, for the good of the nation.

Most of the things you said, are the usual teenage boy activity. That profile you did of the 'criminal' Trayvon is pretty much 90% of my High School (All boys school).

I've certainly provided proof that Zimmermann is as a dodgy character. You have failed to provide any proof that an unarmed kid deserved to die for walking whilst male and black.

No, I never decided that Trayvon had to die, in fact I tell people Zimmerman should have stayed in his car and this mess would have been avoided. Did he have a duty to do so, no, but it would have been better for all involved as defensive use of a firearm ruins both of the lives involved.

If you really wanted Trayvon not to die though, then you should be railing against the school board for merely suspending him instead of having a police report filed when he was in possession of stolen property. That would have landed Trayvon a juvee or community service stint that might have taught him actions have consequences (either that or made him into a better criminal, since our criminal justice system is broken). Either way it would have showed Trayvon he was headed down a wrong path and given him an opportunity to make a decision for himself what kind of man he wanted to become.

So no, I never said Martin had to die. I simply pointed out all the holes in the argument that this young man couldn't possibly have been the instigator, and that those who rally around his cold corpse don't really have a leg to stand on when they try and play the victim card. The short answer is he doubled back to attack the wrong man that night. If Zimmerman had been unarmed then Martin may have been the one facing a murder trial and it never would have gotten this much publicity.

As for this being typical teenage boy activity. That sounds a bit off putting to me.

Hanging out with other boys carrying thousands of dollars in cash is not typical teenage boy activity. Neither is holding an ilegal handgun. Calling yourself a gangster is (sadly). So is the fighting, but it's a sure sign of trouble to come if the parents or someone in authority doesn't step in and get that under control.

Seriously though, since when is being busted with a locker full of stolen property typical teenage boy activity? I can see drinking, cursing, acting tough, etc, but robbery?
