You mentioned I Thessalonians 4: 16-17 : Paul mentions there that Christ returns during the Trump of God the archangel sounds ; there is only one trump that Christ recorded that Christ returns at, in all the Bible, its called the seventh trump ( Revelation 11:15 ). Paul also teaches this is the Last trump in ( I Cor 15: 51-52 ).

If you continue reading into the second letter to the Thessalonians ,you read in Chapter 2, Paul teaches the gathering with Christ mentioned in I Thess 4:17, until after, Satan stands in in Jerusalem caliming to be God ( II Thess 2:3-6 ).

Its stated clearly in verse II Thess 2: 8-9 That Christ returns after Satan. The other scriptures I posted in my first post document father.

right that's it i'm breaking you two up! lol enough

This is the Bible Discussion forum, as long as people are respectful of one another, and scripture is presented , I don't see a problem .

Off-topic slightly, I know, but...

Personally, I believe the Rapture happens between the sixth and seventh seal being opened.

Revelations 6 speaks of the seals and verses 12-17 says,

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
[RAPTURE]

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of Their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?'
And then the time of Jacob's Trouble begins.

I believe this for many reasons, but here's two:

1. The whole world will see that it is time for the wrath of God to come. Why would God pour that out on His people, the ones that have given their lives to Him? The wrath of the Lord is judgment on the world and those that refused the salvation offered through Jesus Christ.

2. The sky rolls back as a scroll and the mountains and islands are removed. Wow. I mean, seriously, is there any doubt that God exists after this? Yet, you read that aside from the 144,000 Jewish men, the world refuses to repent. How is that possible if believers are still there?

Just some thoughts. :)

I think there's plenty of room in Heaven, even for the wild cats, like lions, tigers, and bears. :)

So I have often wondered if I actually am able to go home in the rapture will I be able to take my cats? I don't want them to go through the tribulation and I love them so much. I don't think the bible says anything about this though does it? I know people say if it is not in the bible it isn't true, but I like to be optimistic. What does everyone else think?
Animals do not have spirits.

When they physically die, it is over for them...

The Darby 'Dispensationalist' notion of the 'Rapture' is a false doctrine.

So, no.

Blain, enjoy your cat. The Lord wanted to bless you.
Proverbs 12:10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Blain,

1) there's no pretribulation rapture
2) if the scenario you believe were true (it isn't) your cats wouldn't be in danger in "the tribulation" - since they're not jews who are apparently experiencing Plan A re-initiated.
3) who is teaching you these things, Blain?

Blain... ignore the unchristian comments and those who mock. Interesting that my homepage scripture today was Proverbs 10:32: "The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse" - maybe this scripture was meant for you. I recommend reading Proverbs :)

I too am a cat lover. We have two and our neighbor helps me take care of a feral cat colony. God loves animals otherwise He wouldn't have created them. Not only did God make a covenant with Noah & descendants, but also with the animals, so they were also important to Him. As someone else posted, there is a scripture that speaks of God knowing every time a sparrow falls.

Psalm 37:4: "Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart"

Matthew 7:11: "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"

I really believe that if you desire to see your pets again, you can make that request to God. He knows the desires of our hearts.

As for the rapture, this thread sadly ended up being a debate over that when it was not your intention. I too believe that Christ will come to collect His church and in a manner that seems to imitate that of an ancient Jewish wedding.....

Link --> End Times | Rapture & Jewish Wedding

Ancient Jewish wedding...
"During the betrothal period, the bridegroom would prepare a wedding chamber for the honeymoon. This chamber was typically built in the bridegroom's father's house or on his father's property. The wedding chamber had to be a beautiful place to bring the bride. The bride and groom were to spend seven days there. The wedding chamber had to be built to the groom's father's specifications. The young man could go for his bride only when his father approved. If the bridegroom was asked when the wedding was to be, he might well say "it is not for me to know, only my father knows".

Scripture...
Just as a bridegroom would have told his bride that he would go to prepare a place for her, so Jesus told His disciples: "...In my Father's house are many rooms or mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am John 13:1-3. In ancient Israel the bridegroom could get his bride only after his father approved. Similarly, Jesus said: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert ! You do not know when that time will come Mark 13:32-33.

....and so on....

As for animals being raptured, sadly they won't, but God cares for them. Hopefully our pets will die before we go.

God created all things and declared them good. Sin ruined all that God had created. Lets not cross the line here and place our affection for our pets above our love to our God and Savior.

so you proceed to expound on the rapture after saying it sadly shouldn't be about that.
