Hmm...it appears that since I have stopped working in the yard so much, and also baking more often, my favorite pair of pants doesn't fit quite right anymore.

Who would've thought that too many cookies + not enough exercise could = expansion?!

...time for daily walks, I think. And THEN I can keep eating cookies.

I've been having really bad headaches to the point where I'd feel like I could just faint. But I never really thought of what might be triggering it....then it hit me.

For the longest time, I was avoiding High Fructose Corn Syrup. Then, recently, we found out our family's favorite brand of syrup was affordable again. So I started using it again, and I've been having sugary stuff for breakfast alot (mainly waffles). And the headaches came with it and wouldn't go away. I would think, "The waffles are organic and dairy free." BUT the syrup wasn't, like when I was using all natural maple syrup. I haven't had waffles for about two days now. It's really cut down on the pain factor. I don't have a headache right now, even.

But I'm wondering if I should go all-natural again. Just no artificial stuff. Give my body a stinkin' break from all the junk I feed it. I think yes.

The past 24 hours have been very healing for me. God has enabled me to release a lot to Him, particularly stressful things. Peace and joy are returning to my life as they have not in a very long time, and I have found myself laughing far more than I have as well.

God created some of us to have a great deal of drive, passion and..well..fire. :) For a long time I have felt as though I should apologize for that. He has helped me to see that HE created me that way for purposes of His own and, while I need to bring those things in submission to Him more than I have, He fully intends to use them for good.

The decisions I am making for my life are going to make the next two years a bit difficult, but I am up to the challenge. I like challenge. I feel dead without it. So, I'm going to hold onto God's hand and step out into some very large waves. It's going to be an awesome ride. I feel it. :)
Not seeing or really can't discover new oceans unless one has the courage (Faith) to take their eyes off the Shore.
Go in God's speed and trust no matter what it looks like in front of you, knowing God will never leave you or forsake you.
Prayers are with you

I don't know if anyone else on here watches Dexter....but the series finale was just plain awful. The last season or two in general wasn't that great, but at the very end, I just said, "...SERIOUSLY??"
I have only seen up to 3 seasons as of yet, and I am sure it will be a long time before I see the rest, but Thank you, in your take on it

Is Jullianna in the Witness Protection Program or on the run from the law? Every time I turn around, she has a different avatar. Is her avatar now a character from Star Wars?

I have officially lived in Illinois for a year. It is absolutely crazy and mind blowing how much can change in such a short amount of time. I was struggling last night with it...but God spoke to me so gently during church this morning that my eyes teared up. It was...good.

I was speaking to a friend this morning & they seem to think I need to get a cat for companionship. I do love cats, srsly. I grew up with cats. I just don't like the whole litter box deal. Never have. I've actually had some pretty awesome cats in my day as well. One even played fetch like a dog, which was really adorable. Owning a cat is an even bigger commitment than owning a dog,as they tend to live a long long time.

My heart is set on owning a dog again someday though. I miss my bulldog terribly. The only comfort I take in not having him here is knowing that he has a much better life than I could give him right now with my ex. I'm sure he's treated like a little king. Besides,he had such a good manners & for a bulldog, even my ex's Mother who disliked bulldogs, upon first meeting him fell in love with him.

So anyhow,I am rambling. I think I started dwelling on this after reading arwen's post about her possibly having to give up her kitty. That made me kinda sad. :( It's one of those,is do the right thing, but is the right thing really the right thing things situation. (say that 10 x's fast,I dare ya')

I still dream of winning the lotto or some distant relative I never knew I had that loved me from afar leaves me a ton of loot so that I can open a dog rescue. Is it wrong that on many days I wake up wanting to be jumped on by a basket full of puppies??? I think I need mental help....or loads of chocolate. :p

Had an interesting topic at church today. We've been doing a series on faith, and today we talked about just stepping out and doing what we feel God is leading us to do. Rather than saying "Ok God, if you want me to do this you better make it clear right now." Say, "Ok God, I think this is what you're telling me to do, so I'm going to do it you better stop me if I'm wrong." Obviously some of you will disagree with that, but I think it's interesting. We say we follow God and this and that, but we're more inclined to just wait and sit passively if we feel led, rather than being willing to step out in faith and do it.

Another thought of the day. I was reading a book today and the author discussed two seemingly contradictory verses. "Let your light shine before men" and "Do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing". The point the author was making was that, we should be living by a completely unselfish love. Showing and giving love to others, but having it be such an ingrained and defaulted behavior that we just do it, and we think nothing of ourselves while doing. We take no pride in it, we don't flaunt it. We do it without any thought of righteousness or reward.

It's hard. My kitty is extra cuddly sleeping on my stomach right now and in a hour or so, the owners are coming by to see if it's her. I reaaaaaaally hope that it's not, or that we can keep her. Who now am I gonna snuggle with?

I hope you can keep your kitty. <3

(Now for a totally separate thought)

Tonight, at youth group, I was helping to lead worship, and NO ONE was paying attention. Not one. They just stood up and were chatting on their phones and whispering in each others' ears. So our youth pastor got up, and was like, "You know, forget this. We're gonna pray and worship." and he turned off all the lights and just started preaching and praying while we were playing. There wasn't a message tonight, but I think there was a breakthrough in our youth group. I hope and pray there is.

Thus begins the inner turmoil......do I dump a bunch of money into an old truck or do I break down and buy something newer? The thing is I've owned it for 17 years, we have a lot of history together and I've got a lot of memories good and bad wrapped up in her.

I haven't had to make a vehicle payment in over 12 years and have been completely debt free for 4. In some ways I really don't want to end up in debt and the lack of recent credit history is gonna drive up the interest rate if I do decide to upgrade. Of course the instability in work the past few years makes me really hesitant even though it has been better the past year.

Keep the truck and risk having what becomes a money pit or replace it and risk ending up in a bad financial place.

Grrrrrrrr, I hate having to make this kind of decision.
