Keep the truck and risk having what becomes a money pit or replace it and risk ending up in a bad financial place.

Grrrrrrrr, I hate having to make this kind of decision.

Oooh, that's a tough one! Can you pay cash (or a super low note) on an older used vehicle?

(Psssttt... buy a Toyota... You'll be setting pretty for another 17 years.)

Is Jullianna in the Witness Protection Program or on the run from the law? Every time I turn around, she has a different avatar. Is her avatar now a character from Star Wars?
Welcome to CC!

Don't even get me started on my office. Luckily, I should have some students to help me tackle that tomorrow.

I may or may not have just gotten back home from an anime/gaming/comic convention, where I may or may not have dressed up as Mario from Super Mario Bros.

So.. many.. nerds..

Pics or it didn't happen!

Where would said convention take place in Alaska? I would assume Anchorage, but I suppose just about ANYPLACE in the frozen wastelands is as good as the next.

Yep, this one was in Anchorage. I think there are 2 other (very tiny) conventions in the state, but this one is the only one even remotely similar to the type of anime convention you'd see in more populated areas.

And I'm not entirely sure CC is ready for my awkward love of dressing up in (tasteful) costumes.

Aww. When I was active with AnimeCentral in Chicago, I cosplayed as Ranma Saotome and Ryoji Kaji. These days, since our school holds concerts on Halloween (the kids perform in costume), I've done most of my cosplay for that... Mario (other director was Luigi), Zorro, Dr. Horrible. This year, the kids want me to go the Jack Sparrow route since my haircut supposedly makes me Depp-ish. Although I could probably pull off a partially armored Tony Stark, a la Iron Man 3.

Cosplay is fun. ^_^

This thread has officially become may place of venting so I apologize if I drive some of you insane, or to think I'm insane after reading my posts on here, just ignore and move on :)

This one I've been thinking about for the past week or so, and showed some of my frustration about it in another thread, but honestly, the more time I spend around women, the more disinterested I get in dating again. I'm actually almost to that point of never even wanting to be with anyone again. I work in an oddity of a factory, as most factories have a majority of male employs and there are few women. Where I work we actually have a far higher ratio of women than men, and the way these women behave just makes me sick.

One person in particular I'm referring to has been married for 17 years and she is constantly getting flirty with most of the guys there. She kind of reminds me of the story of the prostitute and the fool in proverbs. Anyway, any guy who is really dumb enough to fall for it or even just likes the attention of someone flirting with them, she manipulates so that they will do something for her whenever she asks them to. And amazingly enough she always wins. And she gets extremely angry with someone when they won't let her flirt her way out of something. She started pulling the same on me, and I let her know very explicitly not talk to me like that, and she got mad at me and quit talking to me. A week later she started apologizing and asked if we could be friends again, I said that was fine, but don't ever talk to me like that again, and she got mad again :p

The sad part is, is that's how a lot of women there are, the sadder part is that, as I watch other single or dating women behave, christian or not, they do the exact same thing. Really? My ex-wife cheated on me, admitted it, and then denied it literally 5 minutes after she admitted it. If that wasn't enough to crush any trust in a future relationship, seeing this kind of flirty, manipulative behavior, even from christian women, does. It's kind of sick. Maybe some of you girls need to step up and make an example? Or how about we get over this whole "tact" and "tolerance" and "respect" thing and start calling people out on actions like this that only deceive and hurt.
Puberty is what puberty is and is used by the majority to get what one wants here and now on this present dangerous earth, being materialistic, and not seeking the things from above, and many times acting as if they are, no matter if male or female. I am glad you are aware, just please be harmless as a dove, yet aware to keep from falling into this world's traps of lunacy

And the last of the stages of grief.....

Acceptance
Acceptance is always the starting point in true healing, to see it is what it is, and accept it for what it is, then one can make the best out of what is and do much as Ray Charles, Helen Keller and many more with being crippled.

...okay, now I kinda wanna see pics of your former cosplay! Maybe a photo trade? :D Cosplay is fun but I'm still quite new. I don't dress up for Halloween and this is only my second year going to the convention. Last year I was Katara as part of a 6-person Avatar cosplay group and we won best in show for our costumes. Good times. :D

Neither is Jennifer Lawrence. :p you could definitely pull it off!

My doctor recently disabled me until she can figure out what's wrong. Come to find out I filled the paper work out wrong, and they denied me benefits. However, I just talked to a woman on the phone, and she said that I can appeal it! It's a simple piece of paper that asks what happened and which date you want to use now. Such a relief! God is awesome, and I thank him for a simple solution!
