We must keep in mind, why God gave us the Law: the purpose of the law was to show us what actions God will accept as good and righteous in His sight. Our actions are good ,righteous ,and accepted as righteous by God ,only as we obey His laws. and only those who obey will be saved. But this righteousness of ours is never perfect. ; there fore God's salvation is always by GRACE thru Faith and Works. Therefore the Sacrificial system was set up and Jesus came to die. No one has a right to alter God's plan. It is not "faith alone". Grace, faith and works. Love to all Hoffco

Works are not to be of self
Works are to be of God, so God gets all the credit for it, Thanks

Hi everyone! Good title. Only one thing I consider needs to be pointed out here. Law still has its reproof function

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
But (!):

for by the law is the
knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:20)

I believe that as law Jesus saying the same

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

except that Jesus toughens requirements by saing that only if you said or that you allready occured the action in your heart.

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Matthew 5:27,28)

So, as you can see the action of adultery might not occure but the adultery which still may living in your hearts will equip the house of our nature not by Christ but according to Satan.

Mostly I believe Jesus putting out or emphasizing more on what we think, what is motivates us to do or no to do these and that.

Therefore He transfers the law's function from outward to within us

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people (Hebrew 8:10)

He thus clarify for us that we are not even thinking justified themselves according to what we deeds whereas in our hearts lives the same lawlessness.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(Matthew 7:22-23)

if Jesus endured the Law (Word) from an external literal understanding to inside.

From that point of view saying that the Law is cancelled the same as if we seeing on the road sign in front of you: "CLIFF" you, by faith, continue by car towards that way, trusting that God is there immediately has to raise up a bridge.
We need to understand that this is LAWLESSNESS!

This is really a more accurate analogy than I realized at first. All in Christ are equipped with this internal GPS (the holy spirit), but some choose not to use it, relying instead on outdated maps. The law of Moses was the guide (map) on how to conduct one's self in an earthly kingdom. The law of Christ (the spirit) is the guide on how to walk in a heavenly kingdom. The old map will never lead anyone to the heavenly place, because it was not made for that purpose. It was designed to lead people to a point where they would purchase the new map (internal GPS).

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

Now let's put this in context and see the time-frame...

Isa 30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
Isa 30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
Isa 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Isa 30:22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.
Isa 30:23 Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
Isa 30:24 The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.
Isa 30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
Isa 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

A cursory reading of this passage shows it is not current but Millenial.

I agree to put the Holy Ghost that way in words. Okay, HG like a GPS, but map remain the same which is the Scripture, certantaly, inclueded the Law.

This statment not so much acurate, at least this is how I see that, because it's more depends on how we look at text whether we read The Law of Moses or books of New Tastements. Let me explain a little bit through the next verses:

13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. (2Corinthians 3:13-15)

In contrast to what Jesus saw in the same old covenant or as well Paul and other Apostels

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
(Luke 24:27)
Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. (1Cor.10:6)
+
For it is written in the Law of Moses, "YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING."
God is not concerned about oxen, is He?
Or
is
He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher {to thresh} in hope of sharing {the crops.} (1Cor.9:9-10)

So the Scripture has not changed but Holy Spirit help us novigating and read the same message throug the whole Bible, including the Law, but only in new spiritual interpratation.

9 However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him” — 10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. (1Cor.2:9-10)

I don't know if this was directed at my comment, but the proverbs are not the law of Moses.

Directed in light of the thread, giving scripture that instructs us to adhere to the instructions found in the Word of God. However, if the shoe fits wear it. I wasn't addressing you but maybe God was, I don't know, still it's nice that you noticed.

In reference to the last part of your sentence, Proverbs are proverbial. Instruction in righteousness is found throughout the Bible from cover to cover.

We need to understand that this is LAWLESSNESS!

I think you speak of those that take God's amazing grace for granted and just do what they want to do without caring for any others except those in their group
Luke 6:32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

So let's not take it for granted and see truth in what this grace means and does in response for those that are forgiven in appreciation, and Show Mercy back as received, yes?

Those in Christ have an internal GPS that always works and is always right. We don't need road signs,

for we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

God leads and we tend to get in the way or allow others to do this, those of the flesh that can never please God as in the flesh anyway, Thanks

That purchase by the way is free if we will believe, yes, and thanks for that analogy

[SUP]4 [/SUP]To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And all of this leads to the Savior Jesus Christ. Now today my Lord says to his Lord, now we are one in him. Since finalizing the cross and seeing the perfection through to us if we believe, God did it through the Son's death first for us, so we could by Father seeing us as perfect through Son's death, give us new life in God's Spirit. Can this be?
[h=3]Colossians 1:22[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—

[h=3]Romans 6:3-4[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
[SUP]4 [/SUP]We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

[h=3]Colossians 2:13-15[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, [SUP]14 [/SUP]having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. [SUP]15 [/SUP]And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

So is the above truth or not? Does all scripture point to Christ or does it not?

Now let's put this in context and see the time-frame...

Isa 30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
Isa 30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

A cursory reading of this passage shows it is not current but Millenial.

Actually it is about, and of Christ, as all scripture breathed leads to Christ.

I agree to put the Holy Ghost that way in words. Okay, HG like a GPS, but map remain the same which is the Scripture, certantaly, inclueded the Law.

After the cross and the resurrection with the ascension we today do hear and do see, where as before we did not those that did not have Faith that is in the Coming Messiah, as many a Saint showed like Job as one example:
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Christ has come this has happened and we hear; those that are born again from God, by God the Father that is. A free gift to all that do believe, and it is God who decides this, not man, nor any of man's works decide this. If works of man ever decided truth, then grace is not grace and free is not free.
Praying you might see this if you do not yet, Thanks?
