gracethrupouringrain -- what did you do before painting faces ? ever think of becoming a make-up artist for sound and stage?

I was a homemaker, homeschooler and mommy. :)

I've taught a couple of workshops and classes showing actors how to apply their own make-up, which was cool! Small stage productions like The Lion, Witch, Wardrobe and Charlotte's Web. Lots of work though, coming up with ways to make a human look like a pig.
:p

For everyone: What is your last clear memory of God working in your life through a tough situation for you or someone else?

God definitely worked hugely in my life in the last couple of years. A thousand ways. Tough situation, which bore much pain but also much fruit. :)

GreenNnice - your green brain and green way of thinking makes me smile.

MissCriss - Is your hair naturally curly? Do you wear it down a lot?
It is naturally curly, yeah. I used to wear it down all the time, up until I had my son. It's just not...convenient or safe...to wear my hair down anymore. Kids eat it, and I shut it in car doors, and...I dunno, I want to cut it, but it reaches past my lower back for the first time ever so I'm a little scared to cut it.

Plus I'd be cutting it myself.

Because I'm such a dare devil.

I found out today they had to stop filming COPS. Because it lost popularity? Nope. They took so much heat from black people complaining the show made black people look bad, they gave in after pushing through the pressure.
One thing all of us should have learned from COPS: People with blurred out faces commit the most crimes

Jullianna- Most cherished memory with your son (if you want to share)?

My very favorite time with my son was when he was about 2-3 years old. He would coming running to me any time he heard music playing (which was pretty much always at our house :) ), hold his chubby little arms up, look at me with huge green eyes and say, "MOMMY!!! LET'S DANCE!!" I would pick him up and we would dance around the house. :)

Now he rolls his eyes at me when I car dance. :(

Love your babies when they are small and do not wish it away. :) I hear parents say all the time that they can't wait until their child can talk/walk/feed themselves/potty/etc. The most precious times are when you can hold them in the middle of the night and rock them (They hate that when they are 6.1, 185 lbs :D ). Cherish them. You won't get those moments back. And when they get a driver's license, you'll wish you could still put them in a crib while you try and get a few hours sleep. :)

naut -- what would you rather listen to? Christian alternative music or secular alternative music?
It honestly doesn't matter to me much. Most of my playlists and pandora stations has a mix between the two. Nothing I listen to has what anyone could call a bad message in it. Even the secular bands are rather clean and/or positive. Like currently I just had Fee followed by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran on my Pandora. If I had to pick one to listen too and avoid the other I would probably pick secular simply due to the wider range of sounds and frequency new things come out. I could always get good christian music at church.

GreenNnice,

KJVbeliever -- why the KJV username ?

I just wanted to use my favorite verse as my username, John 15:11, but the website wouldn't let me use ":" so I tried 15John11, nope, can't start with a number, so I added "KJV." Just another victim of the system. :)

I would love to be able to say that we are NOT all a bit um...you know, crazy. However, I cannot tell a lie...

It's just Alayna :D

Yeah, yeah...we're all a bunch of loonies...

MissCris: What is your hubby like?
He's...focused, hard working, loyal to a fault. He's slow to warm up to new people, and it takes a lot to make him sever ties with someone- but once he does, that's it. He's protective- if he cares about you, he'll take on anyone that wants to hurt you, even if he hasn't got much chance against them. He's...straight-laced, without being uptight. He's kind of a jack-of-all-trades, but he's learning to be an expert at his job. He's a pessimist, and he sees things very black and white, with precious little room for any gray area. He's hilarious, but not in a clown sort of way- he doesn't laugh a lot, but he's always making other people laugh, usually while keeping a straight face. He's really tender-hearted; one spring day, we were driving down the highway, and it had been blizzarding all morning. The birds were going crazy, and he kept hitting them. I was in the passenger seat laughing at the birds bouncing off the windshield, and after a while, I noticed he had a tear on his cheek. He felt terrible, killing all those little birdies.

He's pretty much the most goofy, loving, frustrating, awesome person ever :D

rachedge -- that's good what you're doing, you're doing all the right things for some guy to sweep you off your feet someday or God to just move you through things in life greatly because He sees both your heart and your exhuberance and willingness to do a job that He has for you now, and, no doubt, guys in general just see a girl working for a living and most guys will see that as VERY attractive :)

oncefell -- LOL, yeah, right, Dennis Rainey is in Little Rock, AR . I'm not now but have nightly in long stretches watched those two nightly syndicated radio shows/ministries, that is, since I said 'two,' the other being ,Focus on the Family. Both great shows but I was taken aback when that great host, mike? trout, was found to be unfaithful or something to his wife; he had such a warmy voice leading in to Dobson's great messages of God. Shocker! On another note, I'm praying God gives you right truck, He always provides--one way or another-- to those in His pasture :)

seoul -- The Lord leads, but, a lot of people read your threads, whether they comment or not is another thing, but, keep doing what He leads you to do and if He was leading you to stop your long poll question threads would I be doing this :)

ItoreHis -- OK, I will look at Nods' questions of posts thereto mentioned. Hmm, have you ever thought of a comic strip using your stick figures? YOUR creations :) Patent those fellas !! :) The Lord leads :)

xxEExx -- Indeed, God does bless us when we understand His 'tri-force' of help with our being courageous in our lives to follow Him, again and again and again... :)
And, it was news to me when you showed that picture of Link praying in a church in your 'superheroes' thread. Well said, milady :) The Lord leads :)

JJ -- that was green and great what you said and did for your sister. You might not see it but I just did a new thread for c.c. folks and you're my inspiration, bro :) Yep. And, YOU got it ! The Lord leads. :)

julieannie -- that's cool , Indiana Jones Julieannie in Indy, it all makes perfect sense :) son in TN school, he could meet up with kentom, he's in that state, a Lane Kiffin fan, I hear :D I pray that God just takes care of you, milady, and, you are not butt-scarring yourself rapelling down rocky crags too much, unless, that is, He leads :)

Okeee, did I answer everyone, and comment? I like to do all that

More questions:

AWESOMEasif -- brother, are you still teen teaching kids , how's biz degree going? What is the Lord moving u toward in that regard?

liamsON -- How is school going, professor ? :) Trust in Him, you're RIGHT where He wants you, bro :) What beautiful country you can go to there, a stone's throw away, I have family in Riggins and my dad grew up on 40 acres property in the Boise hills. It's God's country there ! And, where you are is a close 2nd :)

catsheepherdingfrenchhorner -- why the french horn ? Where did you take your kids last weekend? Any of them play instrument?

shobro -- anything changing in your music life? How do you teach a kid musci who is tone deaf?

gracethrupouringrain -- what did you do before painting faces ? ever think of becoming a make-up artist for sound and stage?

naut -- what would you rather listen to? Christian alternative music or secular alternative music?

MystD -- ever wrote an e-book or something for Vanity Press ?

zaoofmen -- are you a rock star at rock star video game and do you play video games much?

KJVbeliever -- why the KJV username ?

azurebluefirahgirl --- what is the meaning behind your username ? 'AzureFire'

alheHANdra - your name I like the middle syllable pronouncing, the whole name really, but, yeah, y u pick that name on c.c. ?

misteethreetwo -- What broght you to c.c. ?

wwkildend -- jane marple or hercule` poirot ? how did you ever get to 36,000 posts? What work are you doing now, detective?
How is Scotland better than England and Ireland, or, just different, let's say ? Do you know what 'Go yard' means?

OKeee, and, sorry, some missed still, it's not that I missed you, I do, I do, I really do miss all you puddy tawts :D . But, yeah, YOU try living in these green brainz-z-z-z-z, it's like Yosemite Sam and Porky Pig talking b-b-b--both at the same time. Sufferin' succotash ! :D

Good news is the Lord keeps my left brain in the left side and my right hemisphered over there :)

To answer some's questions, like alphabeginningomegaend: I like myself for a star athlete, OH, wAIT,that is something Nods would say :D Oh, nods, ima kidding ya, you know, milady. :) But, yeah, I would say, Russell Wilson , the guy's clutch in games and is quarterback on this year's to-be superbowl champs, the Seattle Seahawks, who just squished the Houston Texans, in OT, but a win is a squish no matter how light a squish it is :D (sorry, catty :( )
Proud of moment: I don't know. I guess, it would be nothing, as when I 'boast' Scripture says I should 'boast' of Christ.
flip flops or sneakers ? I wear boots most of the time, I don't like tie shoes in the morning, just throw
em on, plus better support for ankles.

dessert fave: Napolean , fine, flaky phylo dough with cream in the layers and chocolate strewn on top with white frosting.
favorite breakfast food: Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs rock and hollandaise sauce is music to my mouth :)

For everyone: What is your last clear memory of God working in your life through a tough situation for you or someone else?

Ummm, yeah I think you asked me this one other time dude & I told you they are nothing I created. lol They are from a series if characters of internet MEMES called Rage comics. The one yer' prob thinking of who I use a lot is cereal guy.

xAlphaOmega: Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Hopefully married to a sweet, down to earth girl who loves the Lord and will be my backbone just as I am hers :) Kids if part 1 goes well and I am lucky enough to be blessed with such a gift. But for now I am just looking for part 1, Ill worry about the rest later. I want to play professional hockey but seeing as Im 28 I think its safe to say that dream is no longer within reach (plus I never had the talent to go that far) :). Ah well, engineering is a maybe, depends if I want to go to school another 2 years. Mostly, I just want whatever the Lord wants and to be happy.

Catlynn: What would a mom’s day out be like for you?
Oh my, it would probably involve a nap for sure! haha Maybe a shopping trip. It would probably depend on if I was alone or with friends. If it were with friends, I've had mom's days where I went to the water park, or kayaking at the local state park. I love to do adventurous things when I get the chance, with my friends. I look forward to doing those things with Kyla one day too, but for now, it's with friends. By myself though....would probably involve naps, bubble baths, and shopping. <---When did I become such a girl? :p

I think anything that I can't do by myself any other day...would most likely be included into my mom's day. Like sitting down for hours at a time to enjoy a book! It's the simple things in life...

This was basically it in a nutshell. I tried to write it in some odd sort of poetic story way I suppose, but I guess you get the general idea. Something from a few weeks ago I guess. ( I need to start sleeping more than 3 hrs a night I think lol)

[h=2]**The Dragon Inside My Furnace Heart**[/h]
Since childhood,maybe even farther back
I knew there was something wrong inside
Some sort of voice
Hollow
Cold,yet burning...
I would close my eyes & see a vision of a dragon
Black scales
Ashy grey smoke that poured out from his mouth when he spoke to me.
"You are nothing, and everything" he would say to me.
"You are vile,yet loved"
"You are feared, yet you yourself are fearful"
"you reflect the nothingness inside your furnace heart".

For so long I have tried to reason with the dragon.
Other times,simply ignore him.
He is relentless.
Always pursuing me in all I say & do.
I would cry out to the Lord
and I could hear him laughing at me.
"He doesn't care about you...but I do"
the dragon said.

Someone to care for me
Hold me
Protect me from...
myself?

The days numbered into the thousands
and over 42 years had since passed
but the dragon seemed only to grow in strength.
His voice more now that a faint echo.
It was as though he'd had an open forum into the very chamber of my heart.
A place of honour.
A seat at the head table.

He continued to taunt me.
Mock me.
Shame me.
How could I ever be free of him?

One night as I closed my eyes I heard a different voice.
Not one of a man or a woman, nor of any sort of creature I'd ever heard utter.
The voice said to me
"You must walk through the fire inside your furnace heart, and then once you have walked through it
climb to the highest mountain inside of yourself where there is peace...wait for the dragon, for surely he will come, and when he does, take hold of him & break his jaw, cast him down & crush him beneath your heel."

So I did as the voice asked of me.
I walked through the fire of my furnace heart.
I climbed the highest mountain inside of me.
I waited.
and as told...
the dragon came.
More ominous than ever.
I could feel my chest collapsing in fear,my lungs gasped for air...
then suddenly our eyes met.
In that moment,I saw him for what he was.
A coward.
Nothing more than a frail ghost of a lie.

I took hold of him & with both hands I opened his mouth, pulling his jaws apart as far as they would go
until I heard a sickening snap.
I felt him go limp in my hands.
I didn't even look down...
I just let him fall to the ground beneath me
and I crushed him with my heel.
At that moment I nearly blacked out.
I could barely stand I felt so weak.
and the dragon had turned to dust beneath my feet.
I could feel a slight pain in my leg that shot upward & then dissipated into my stomach.

Something inside me felt completely broken...freedom?
I was no longer frightened.
I no longer heard his voice.
It seemed as though now I had some complete clarity that I'd never known before.
...and then I realized
for a split second,I felt dread...
then nothingness.
...and I realized this one final truth.
This dragon that had made my life a living hell for all my days wasn't some supernatural monster bent on my destruction.
No.
Not at all.
I...I was the dragon all along.

Then the voice I had heard next was the same voice that had instructed me to walk through the fire of my furnace heart.
"Now do you understand?"
"You are your own worst enemy...you are the self-destruction that only I can save you from."

I fell to my knees & cried.
I wept so loudly that it hurt my ears & made my head want to disengage from my body.
"Forgive me",I said.
"I am hopeless without you..I am vile..nothing..heal me,I beg you."

and in that moment I felt warm. Not like the fire that was once consuming me with pain or sadness or hatred.
Just peace.
I felt lighter than air.
I could finally breathe.
I felt myself lifting off the ground into the sun...I could barely move.
I managed to slightly look down & see what looked like myself...
curled up in a fetal position, entangled with the charred remains of a dragon...
and I knew once and for all
that the dragon inside my furnace heart had finally been laid to rest.

I had four good friends growing up, they were all a lot of fun and, although we did have little guy fights, not very often, so, my friends growing up were encouraging in my life. Then, I had a roommate for three years in college, again, he was very positive and thus encouraging, and, my sister's always been encouraging to me. And my dad, in his own way, is encouraging but I found that out through confronting him about never being encouraging to me working for him in my early 20s.

But, the answer, milady, has to be my mom, because her encouragment never waned growing up, she spoke to my heart often in her actions. I did have a stick on my butt a few a times, that smarted wholeheartedly :D , and, yeah, mom, she never forgot to send care packages when I was in college, she always sends me cards for Valentines, Easter, time. She supports me in whatever I do in life.
Just got to be mom. :)
