I had an Uncle who freed one of these camps. He couldn't talk about it without uncontrollably crying, and now to hear people like Zone dismiss and deny brings up too much anger for me to keep quiet.

but she also is a holocaust denier.
So wait... You can't with an argument with facts and data, so you start the "holocaust denier" ad hominem attacks? Do others get angry when charges like this, or "anti-semite", are leveled at people, because the accusers can't debate rationally?

I for one, am extremely disappointed by CC in not pulling the plug on this person, she goes beyond discussing doctrinal differences, it will likely result on me pulling the plug on this site.
Even if a user on CC did deny a holocaust (of which I have not seen a single such post), this neither goes against the scriptures, nor blasphemes our Lord. I'm not saying I would agree with such a position, but I would be happy to accept it on its merits, and debate accordingly. If you can't handle the truth, and debate in a rational and respectful manner, it would serve the purposes of free speech for you to leave of your own free will, rather than to ban all those more capable and intelligent than yourself, who have differing opinions.

but she also is a holocaust denier.
I don't respond to all of your statements because your slander was not against me, but people know that holocausts are a sensitive matter, which play on the emotions of others. Such people rely on emotional responses to their cowardly accusations, rather than rational debate, which would prove them to be the intellectual beggars that they are.

Does free speech mean anything to you?

some of the most prosperous arabs in the world are israeli citizens
That's not good news, since it's "some of the most prosperous arabs in the world" who paid for Al-Qaeda's 9/11 operation. You're not the first to blame Israelis, and yet you call me antisemitic?

I do not debate with holocaust deniers, OR their apologists. Free speech means you have a right to speak. It does NOT mean you have a right to be heard. CC has no legal or moral obligation to give holocaust deniers a platform. If anything, they have an obligation to NOT give them a platform.

You sound like one of the Pharisees whom Jesus rebuked. God said "Do not work on the Sabbath", but they mutilated His words, effectively nullifying the words of God. In the same way, you nullify the meaning of free speech (ha, ha, ha - "right to speak, but not to be heard" - hypocrite).

If you don't want to debate, that's your right. But if you want anyone to listen to you about your false accusations of "holocaust denial", rational debate is your obligation.

Who is the slanderer here? "false accusation"? Not my prob your'e too cowardly to ask her yourself whether she believes the holocaust or not. BTW, according to you, if I find out you didn't listen to me I have the right to tie yourt ignorant butt down and MAKE you listen!

I hope that illustrates how stupid your statement was.

To me, and I suspect to God, its not important. What is important, for her, for you, and for everyone, is that we have accepted Jesus' shed blood as complete payment for our sins.

I never said you nor anyone else have the right to kidnap or assault (e.g. tie people down). I do object to your infantile (and Pharisaical/communist) debate tactics of attempting to silence opposition, rather than refuting it with truth. Remember, only lies have a fear of exposure by the light - truth fears no such thing and is unafraid of debate.

I hope that illustrates how stupid your statement was.
I hope the above illustrates how much like a Pharisee you are acting.

So 1st you say, I'm a slanderer for calling her a holocaust denier. Now you say even if she is one it's not important, worse you claim to speak for God on the subject. Integrity, Integrity, my kingdom for a man with a shred of Integrity!

Yes, yes and no - God makes clear to us what His will is, but I find this is best expressed in His words, as He is infallible.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

It makes my head hurt! To debate means I have to read parts of Mein Kampf again. And there are really no good English translations, so to be fair to the victims of the Holocaust, I'll have read in German again. It's subject that requires substantial attention to detail.

Speaking as a Christian, I think my credibility in a thread about Israel, Jewish people, etc. is dependant on my total unwillingness to entertain antisemitism in any form. I can't see how any debate, rational or otherwise, is going to lead anyone closer to Jesus Christ.

That's my view anyway.

I mostly agree with you. I just don't like these lying slanderers popping up and demanding people be banned for their (false) accusations of "holocaust denial" that they can't even prove, as if they are tribal chieftains with ultimate authority, or something.

I certainly meant no disrespect to you, Praus.

It's all good, I'm trying to throw some balance in here. I'll give you an example of how this could blow up in our faces.

David Irving - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Until the late 1970's David Irving was considered one of the premiere historians in the world.

Somewhere along the line it seems he got the idea in his head that the downfall of British greatness (he's a Brit) was because the UK allied with Stalin in WW II and not Hitler.
In order to make that idea palatable he had to make Hitler look better--so he started engaging in Holocaust denial--and destroyed his credibility as a historian in the process. It got so bad that the "debate" ended up in court: Irving v Penguin Books and Lipstadt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Irving lost.

No one takes Irving seriously anymore except other Holocaust deniers.

Engaging in such debates only hinders us in spreading the word of God.
