Having already been decided by Presidential election, and Supreme Court, the Affordable Care act is the reason given by a minority of Right Wing Tea Bagger Republicans for shutting down the US government and the impending default on payments.

All from an evil and anti-Christian motivation of hatred for the poor.

Jesus is watching and he will judge the Republicans and the people who vote for them.

This is a straight forward assessment without having to make up fake conspiracy stories to justify my opinion.
 
So people hate the poor if they don't want to give money to a bad steward of money called the USA government, so they can "give people health care"?
 
I don't understand Australian politics either, as I do not expect you to understand American (and they are vastly different). But I do know a few Aussies, and I base my question on what they tell me. So, just how well is your free health care system working? And why does everything in Oz cost 1/3 more than in America?

yeah, the thing that gets me about this is you can't make people understand that nothing in this country is free. when a service is rendered, someone somewhere has to pay for it. i'm speaking of business, not the Church. so I fell it is un-Christian of the democrats to take my money by force to pay for someone else to have healthcare. just let us vote on stuff like this as a nation, then that is fair.

You realize one of the reason health care providers charge so much for insurance now anyways is because hospital prices go up as they need to make money for the uninusred that already go to the ER and such and dont pay. You're already paying for others, you just don't realize it.

I don't know what to do with my hatred while I'm driving my Jag on campus and I see all the moocher proletariat students walking. It pain's me such much that any of my money would go to anyone for anything except for me. Sometimes I have so much hate, I wash my Jag with hate. I spot rinse it with the tears of babies from whom I've taken candy from. They didn't pay for it!
 
Its hatred to support a bill that will limit health care and lower its quality.

This bill was never meant to help people....you do understand government is not there to help you right? Its there to control you. (1Sameul 8:10-20) This bill will filter a limited resource through a wasteful beuocrasy ( sp ) and will be subject to political pressures.

You might not get your meds because you did not vote for the people in power..... you understand that right?

You may lose your health care because you had a candy bar....right?

To support this bill is hatred toward anyone who needs medical help. Stop thinking with your heart. We were given discernment and stewardship for good reasons. Unlimited compassion will lead to dead kids....

ask any parent who does not discipline their kids.

I know this is radical thinking to many people, but charity is not the cure for poverty...jobs are. This bill will destroy our economy. It will create more poverty than anything the government has done up to this point....

which is exactly what this bill was designed to do!!

But no. We have to feel the pain of those without insurance enough to destroy our economy and radically change how our country is run...especially when there was a bill presented to Congress that would have lowered your insurance premiums without bankrupting our nation.

Do you remember it? No and its so sad. Not that the left does not know, but that my conservative brethern may not know...or even worse, the RINO's in congress who would rather have Obamacare.

Its sick.

I used to like Australia. Until i started meeting Australians. They kind of ruin the country.

Obamacare was passed by the House and Senate and was signed by the President..and was dragged into the Supreme Court which then declared it constitutional and is currently a law. The Republicans in Washington hate it so bad they have decided to shut down the U.S. government. This means 1 in 430 Americans are furloughed with out pay.

This act of rebellion by Republicans doesn't seem Christian to me. Christians are required in scripture to obey moral law, even if it is not popular among Christians, according to Rom. 13. If it is a law that was tested and approved by the Supreme Court, they should seek out other means to try to legally over turn it.

Not funding a program is a legal means, as it is the Congress that is appointed by the Constitution to appropriate funding.

Jimmy! Never do that, ever. I did that with my Bentley, and the salt in the babies' tears totally etched the finish. I had to get the whole left front quarter panel re-painted. I made sure they didn't recycle the leftover paint though, don't worry. They dumped in into a wetland.
 
This government was corrupt way back when they shot Lincoln, & NOW everybody wants to cry about it? Little late, don't ya think?

Obamacare is unconstitutional and passed by unconstitutional means. It is not the law of the land as it violates our the ultimate law on which our Republic rests.

You are so right, Ken! I just get more and more boggled as to how the American system really works. It seems to be at war against itself. And doing the wrong things for the right reason. Or the right things for the wrong reasons? Or the wrong things for the wrong reasons???

Obamacare is nothing like our Canadian health care system. The US system appears to have basically kept the same bureaucracies and structures in place and just added the uninsured to the system. (Please correct me if I am wrong!) So the same private ownership of hospitals, the same inflated drug prices (and rising) and the same copays or much more for people who already had insurance.

Right or not? I do want to understand what is going on.

Now the shut-down. Who is doing what and why? It appears to be the Republicans?? So why did they pass the bill in the first place if they didn't like it? Or was something tacked on the bill to appease them? Too complex for one parliamentary system person!

In Canada, all health care is run by the government. All training of doctors and nurses, hospitals, and doctors are paid through the system. (OK, the docs and nurses pay tuition, but it is a fraction of the US costs!) Everyone is covered if they apply for it. It would be foolish not to apply for health insurance, since it is free in every province except BC. Immigrants are covered too, if they are registered. My American DIL is not covered because of some endless strike by immigration, so she cannot get registered. I told her to apply for landed immigrant's status about 5 years ago, so that is another debate.

Then there is the cost of prescription drugs. I take a biologic, which is a cancer drug used to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis. It costs $10,000 here for two infusions. Sounds like a lot, until you realize that the same drug in the US costs $75,000 and that drug is made in the US. I could list hundreds of drugs that are the same. I buy a provincial insurance plan for $143 a month (because the drug is so expensive!) and my copay is $50 total. I heard copays have gone up dramatically under this new Obamacare.

Anyway, I don't understand the American system and probably never will. I am just glad I live in Canada, where pre-exisiting conditions have always been covered, and no one is denied free health care unless they were careless in when they applied for citizenship. And hopefully that will be resolved in the next 5 or 6 months. LOL
