I don't really understand what makes certain people qualified to weigh in advice on certain topics. For instance, (since this happens A LOT on here) someone posts about their troubled marriage and possibly imminent divorce, and all these people who have little or no experience start throwing around verses, and dropping input and advice. Really? If you haven't been there then you don't have a clue what it's like, and no matter how wise you think you are it's not going to change that, duh. Or someone asking for relationship advice and all these singles start throwing in advice...ummmm, you're single...

I guess there could possibly be an exception to the rule somewhere, but there aren't many. Just my thoughts
Hmm, I see where you're coming from, but at the same time, I don't think you have to have experienced something to have advice for it. I've never owned a horse, but I can tell you that putting it in a field with no water, grass, or hay is a bad idea. I've never been in a relationship, but I can tell you that premarital sex, abuse, pursuing marriage with an unbeliever, etc., are all bad ideas. I've never done drugs, but I can tell you that cocaine is really dangerous and shouldn't be tampered with. Stuff like that. Now, I don't know what it's like to have a horse, to be in a bad relationship, or do drugs, but that doesn't mean I have absolutely no grounds for advice.

It can sometimes come down to a root issue: jealousy, poor self-esteem, desperation, temptation, etc. just manifested different ways, and those are things that people can offer advice on due to the common root, albeit different experiences. :)

I do get what you're saying, though. Sometimes people butt in without knowing the full story, or think they know how to just fix everything with a snap of their fingers, or, like you said, just totally lack that experience/root.

so...Rachel wants a horse? Is that the point?
I put "A horse" on my Christmas list every single year since I was around 6 (even up until now, just to tease. And yes, I still make Christmas lists at 23 years old ), and I very much remember being 5 years old and praying to God for a horse.

So, yes, that could be the point. :p

I think this is really sweet. :) And I hope you have the opportunity to live out in the country somewhere, and be able to buy a horse.

I haven't made a Christmas list in forever, since I never know what I want when I start to write the list. It's either that or my list of wants is so expensive, "Santa" can't afford it. :p

Someone will be riding a horse (or possibly a unicorn) when she gets to heaven.

I have a big stuffed unicorn that I've had since at least the 6th grade. I distinctly remember seeing her on a shelf in Walmart and knowing I had to have her. Paid $12 for her, all my own money.

I sleep with her every night and she goes where I go if I spend the night somewhere. So...yeah, that picture GreenNice posted would be awesome. :p

I just wanted to say, while I was in pretty much complete agreement with Zaoman's post & could totes relate to how he feels,I also understand what Ugly & rachelsedge said as well. I think if God is leading you to share something with someone or a group of people concerning an issue you yourself have maybe not lived through or witnessed first hand,as long as it's God's words & not our own understanding from which we speak, then it indeed can be helpful & be chock full of wisdom & power. If it's done in love & the right heart motivation,God will honor that too I think. We're all growing.

Just finished my first real workout since my back injury a few weeks ago. I was nervous but it went great with no problems. Woot! Success!!

(Then I came home and ate a candy bar. Fail.)

After exercising on Friday and walking alot on Saturday, I feel like I might have lost a little weight. I'm not holding my breath. I still gotta continue exercising, but hey, maybe I am.

Riding a rhino was one of my favorite parts on Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, so...I think I'd be down with that.

Arwen, you say that like it's a bad thing!
Well they're not as graceful and majestic as unicorns, AND rhinoceroses cannot fly- it's a scientific fact, they're too heavy and would fall right through a cloud and fall into earth and we cannot have random rhinoceroses falling on the people on earth! :D
