I feel the same way which means one thing: Introverts to the core. haha
Yep! hahaha Me thinks the number of introverts who are single well into their 20s is quite high.

I may have gotten someone in trouble at work this week. He is supposed to be taking a developmentally disabled man to a class of ours to learn better social skills, etc., and hasn't been doing so. I had done a lot of the footwork to get this started, but the class does not meet on the day I have him. The fact that he has not been going has been affecting the quality of my monthly reports. I've had several conversations with this peer, and nothing has changed, so I discussed the matter with my immediate supervisor, who talked to his, who had a "come to Jesus" meeting with him and really chewed him out.

I feel bad for him....but not really.
:( I'm curious how the rest of the week will pan out.

1st semester away from home. trying to be friendly, but not really making friends. making some cookies would be a good distraction... but I have no oven in this little dorm. Maybe some posts on CC will cheer me up :p
Hi - don't think I've met you yet. Sorry you can't make cookies. I have to make some for my daughter and send them to her college. I made some for her last week....but they kind of got eaten before they got mailed. I have no idea how that happened. Anyway, pm me if you want me to send you some too. It's just as easy to send one package as two, unless you think that's a little weird. You know...it does seem a little weird. Oh well. I guess we are called to be a peculiar people...whatevs. I'll send cookies if ya want.
Do you like oatmeal?

I've had the same experiences with staff I work with. They don't take the guys I work with on outings or make poor excuses to why they couldn't. When we are employed to support them with the things that they like to do and not if a staff feels like it. Some people are in it because they perceive it to be an 'easy' job and do the bare minimum, others care about these individuals, use empathy and try to improve their quality if life. Ugh. Sorry for venting haha.

Yeesh, I've been in a funk for two days... I need to get it together!
Every time I open this thread and see this post, my super sleepy brain reads it as "I've been drunk for two days". And I'm like, "Wow Grace, seriously, GET IT TOGETHER!"

But then I'm all...OH, yeah..."funk"...got it.

Um... Arwen, I hate to burst your bubble, but Unicorns don't fly... Unipegs however, do
*clears throat slightly*

Actually, the proper term for a unicorn-pegasus hybrid is alicorn. Pegacorn is considered acceptable by some, but alicorn is the universally accepted term.

The reason I know this is...well, you all know the reason I know this. But this not just out of the show. It's also been used in other literature. Um. Anyways.

and, sandra bullock was in a space suit with a big see-through bubble helmet and she was flying around on the end of some long, white, metal-looking, contraption. Oh, yeah , like you said, g-man, A SPACE STATION !!
All joking aside, if you haven't seen Gravity, you need to. Easily one of the best films I've seen in the last five or six years. From the minute NASA radios the abort-mission (about 10 minutes into the film) to the very end, I was literally on the edge of my seat. If I had bought snacks for this movie, I probably wouldn't have even eaten them. I would have forgotten about them. And this is something I never, never, never say about movies with a 3D option: SEE IT IN 3D. This is a film that doesn't just use it as a gimmick, but uses 3D for distance and perspective.

Do it. Don't question me. Go see Gravity. Totally worth it. And I just don't think it will be the same on a TV screen, either. I think I really want to see it in IMAX, but there isn't an IMAX in El Paso. >_<

Reactions are funny. Not funny ha ha, but funny interesting. Although the reaction I had was laughter… and I'm still wondering if that was appropriate.

When someone you know is running in an Ironman (2.4 mi swim, 112 mi bike ride, 26 mi run) it tends to make me feel a bit lazy about my workouts....

Every time I see it,all I can imagine is that Grace is the 11th "silent" member of Earth Wind & Fire, and she is wearing something glittery & fabulous with an enormous rainbow afro getting well....all funky!

I'm pretty sure it'd make me feel like I'm a couch potato if I was in your shoes, though I'm not really that much of one.

Well, for me, for one split second, the N looked like a C...but that was because I was really tired when I saw her post.
