So I have a theory about love or relationships I feel now that if you love something then you have to let it go and be free and if it is meant to be it will come back to you. Has anyone ever experienced this or known someone who has? What is you take on this or your feelings on this?
 
no. in everything ive been through, you part once, your done.
 
Every relationship is different and there is no possible way to know if it is true or not. I guess that in certain cases it is and in others not.

I don't see why letting go if you already know you love or your loved back. But once you break up... something is broke.

the topic is really interesting... if you want to find out in fact how real your relationship is ..that's the perfect way!!! if you love something then you have to let it go and be free and if it is meant to be it will come back to you!!! IT'S TRUE!!! ;)
 
if it is gods will for 2 to be together and the 2 involved are very much acting in the flesh or it not be the right timing or it could be that those who love them will give wise councel to have a break or one of the two may hear god saying seperate then gods watch is has the last say.i have heard stories that a second chance is given

I am in this situation now, i love someone and he knows it... he used to want me a year ago but i pushed him away, and now i really want him, but he is not sure about what he wants... should i let him go? i am scared that it will b over and that i will ruin any chnace i have with him. but then again i say to myself, but if God wants us to be together it will happen.... I dont know what to do
 
how i wish my ex boy friend and I were meant for each other..but i think its impossible cuz he found a new girlfriend already..:(
 
thats all really dumb. if you love something you dont purposely push it away.
 
Hmm, well what an interesting topic. Sometimes you can love someone but it just isn't meant to be! That's just the way it is. At the end of the day God is bigger than us all, and if we allow Him to take control then we will make the right decision. Having said that though, it doesn't mean we still won't get hurt ;) God works in ways we don't always understand and sometimes the answer He gives us isn't always the one we WANT to hear!!

Pain (as hard as it is to endure) is part of what makes us grow and mature, and if we are able to acknowledge that, and use it as a stepping stone towards future prosperity and growth then we will only become better people for it! I know sometimes it can feel like your whole world is crashing down around you when a relationship goes bad, but we need to remember that there is a GOD who loves all of us unconditionally ALL of the time.

Even though the wind may blow, troubles toss you to and fro, get on your knees and give Him the time,
there the answers you will find.. in Jesus.. He'll never let you.. let you go!!

That's just the first line to a song that popped into my head that I was listening to this afternoon.. I thought it very apt for this discussion!!

I don't think its dumb at all. Its quite simple actually when you think you have found the one that is for you and then you can't be with them because of their lifestyle or whatever choices they make then that is when you have to question should I stay or should I go. Should I hang on to someone that the odds are against us or should I let go and let God. Should I let go because it will come to me if it is meant to be. I'm not purposly pushing anyone away. I'm just trying to do the right thing whatever choice that may be.

First of all, if you love someone who has a lifestyle that is not like yours or they do things that you do not agree with or would do yourself, why would you allow yourself you fall in love with them. Why would you even believe that you have found the "one" and know in your heart that there are things that you just dont agree with.
It says in the Bible not to be unequaled yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). I believe this should be applied to every relationship in our lives including those we love.
I am not saying that you need to what for the someone who is perfect but I am saying you should be looking for someone on the same page as you. Someone who values the same things you value.
Missionary dating is a joke.
I must say that if, this is the one for you, you will know and God will make that evident in your life with biblical and Godly confirmation, trust me. I know this to be true from first hand experience.
Never worry if the odds are against you, worry if God is for this or against it.
Sometimes you have to let go to let God show you what He wants for you and that may not always be what we think.
 
You know its really hard to let go of something that you know you will never get, somethimes it's good to fight for the person that you love and not have to walk away with th hope that one day it will come back. Sometimes its easier to take the easy way way by walking away. Be courageous and fight for your relationship ifits worth it
 
My experience with the female species is once its done, move on, God has someone else in mind. Alot of times relationships fail simply because 2 people just aren't right for each other, so there's no way it can be made to work out.
 
Bad timing, I think, is a big reason for relationships not working out. So... if you let someone go, for one reason or another, if you were "meant for each other", God will bring you back together - In His Time! It all hinges on God's will & God's timing.
 
I'd say most relationships end because one party thinks the grass is greener with someone else. And when it doesn't work out, they move on to someone else, rather than the first person, because they already ruined it by their selfishness.

Well I didn't say that what he was doing wrong I just said we lived different lifestyles. It's complicated and I'd rather not go into it. I totally agree with not being equally yolked. I want someone that love Jesus just like me.
 
I saw some things in my relationship that were disturbing and wanted to know the answers. So I suggested a break for a while to get our heads on straight and think.

My ex couldn't wait three days into it before she slept with someone else. Something the two of us had never done, or even come close to doing. I got my answer, just not the one I wanted.

Two Years later she married someone else and she's making his llife miserable.

*Whew* Dodged a bullet there eh? :)

Seriously though. I agree If its meant to be, it will happen, and there is no power on Earth or in heaven that can stop it.
 
I have to agree with you there that was obviously for the best for you. I figured out it wasn't letting go that was hard for me it was holding on. I was holding on to something that didn't want to be held on to. Wow that sucks. But what can I do I just have to accept it and move on. I agree with you on that last part if it was meant to be nothing could stop it God would make 2 people come together no matter what. That is if the 2 are in agreement with each other.
