First off, my apologies to Arwen83 for derailing her thread by making a post asking KenThomas if he was still living. Admittedly, I wasn't the only one who posted during the page or so that we derailed a thread specifically devoted to thoughts instead of conversation, but I incited/tempted the others, so I take full responsibility.

A second reason for this thread is to take derailments. Perhaps a link could be made in the original thread to the new post here. I shall start off.

A quick question I'm unsure as to what denomination I am in, everyone here calls it the happy clappy denomination and I really think that there should be another name? We believe in God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is the son of God. We don't do statues, and we love music, but there isn't alot of dancing except in the youth. Any ideas?
Keegan, there are a number of American denominations that would fit that category. However, according to the Wikipedia page on Happy-Clappy, it's a derogatory term used for a few different groups. I agree with you that I'd use a different name :).

Asking myself odd questions this morning.

How could I have been a better husband & could I / should I have saved my marriage?

Do other christians ever contemplate suicide?

Why is it that no matter how much maple syrup I apply to my pancakes, somehow by the last pancake there's none left?
Where does it go?

Jim, here are my answers in order:

IDK

Yes, but then everyone who loves you will be sad, yet your enemies will be happy. So hang on, Brother; Jesus can work this mess out for you :).

Your pancakes must be especially absorbent. Hmm, come to think of it, mine always did that too, but I've only had waffles as a breakfast cake for the past few years.

Into the pancake, then yer mouth, then stomach....

I hope to one day solve this ultra - absorbent pancake mystery. Seems like if we can put a man on the moon, surely we can make a pancake that retains it's syrupy content.

I'd recommend varnishing the cake if you want the syrup to stay on top, Jim. Maybe also try this; it's one of the plastic ones they display so ya know what the food will look like before you buy it:

So what yer' saying is I might have to travel overseas to get a cake that retains it's syrup Jilly?

*sigh* I wonder if he has the same trouble with his pancakes? VVVVVVVV

Thomas, see, I should've started a new thread entirely for something so important as your welfare, rather than interrupt another person's thread. I'm fortunate that everyone even SAW the post; we nearly needed more milk cartons. Oh, and thanks for trying to rescue Jullianna and me, but we managed to escape by ourselves after you high-tailed it outta that place. Good thing we each had a hair dryer with which to defend ourselves!

That looks just like my cranky, mean old cat that tries to kill me while I sleep!

...minus the pancake...

Hey. Wait. That could BE my cat, and the pancake humiliation would explain her cranky meanness. Mystery solved.

P.S. the Fall/Winter temps are MUCH colder when you're gross and sweaty after running. O_O
