Yes the answer is Jesus loves you? Follow him amen after all that debate and all and it was there all the time all who follow Jesus follow the laws of god anyway ? Amazing and in 2500 posts it was there all along... Oh the simplicity in The Lord if only we will be as children ahhhhh simple .......
2 Corinthians 11:2-3 (KJV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

There are many people that say they are Christian, and dont walk the walk, i used to be one of them, but how many have been convicted by his word, read it and actknowledge there sins. Has anyone on this fourm not be convicted and guilty by not reading into his law? How can one actknowledge there disobedience, if they never read it or where taught it ? Since through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.

The first time i read the O.T., God very own words convicted me , and fullfilled what hebrews spoke upon. When i was living worldly and not saved. Thank God we have a N.T

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

I thank God for His Grace , that he has given to all men in his son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

I belive everyone here has a story to tell :)

God bless
Dear God and Lord over all in Heaven and on earth!!! You are perfect beyond measure!! Thank you for all things, and the enlightenment given by your wonderful Holy Pure Spirit!!! Thank you Thank you. All glory to you! Amen, this is true.

can i get an exec. summary?

Re: What Laws are still valid to christians

have we determined the answer yet?

Of course we have

This is [GOD's] commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

Everything else is commentary.

I can see why there has been much dispute in this thread, just as there was much dispute between the Apostles and Elders as well on this very subject. I think it best to take their advise what they decided.

Act 15:5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."
Act 15:6 Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
Act 15:7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: "Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
Act 15:8 So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us,
Act 15:9 and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Act 15:10 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Act 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they."
Act 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles.
Act 15:13 And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me:
Act 15:14 Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name.
Act 15:15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
Act 15:16 'AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN AND WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, WHICH HAS FALLEN DOWN; I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS, AND I WILL SET IT UP;
Act 15:17 SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, EVEN ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SAYS THE LORD WHO DOES ALL THESE THINGS.'
Act 15:18 "Known to God from eternity are all His works.
Act 15:19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God,
Act 15:20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.
Act 15:21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
Act 15:22 Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren.
Act 15:23 They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.
Act 15:24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"—to whom we gave no such commandment
Act 15:25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Act 15:26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Act 15:27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth.
Act 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
Act 15:29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

What on earth is Jesus saying? That we don't have to keep or teach the commandments? So whose authority do we follow? If we believe Paul was teaching that the OT commandments are done away with or nailed to the cross (meaning law of sin and death was nailed to the cross....the record of our sins was nailed to the cross), then it is our understanding what Paul taught that is screwed or twisted.

Peter said 2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
I have answered you several times. The reason I use much dialog is because this subject matter is the biggest divide between Christians who believe that the Law of God is not voided by the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The modern day, traditional or mainstream churches who follow that Jesus voided the OT laws is the broad path. I am not on that broad path, I am on the narrow path that leads to righteousness. The benefits of believing the whole Bible is still relevant for our lives today is so much clearer than the old path I once was on, believing that I was of the Church, separate from those people in OT, blah blah blah.
I believe that if something in the NT appears to contradict the OT, then it is my understanding that is incorrect and not the Bible.
By the time the New Testament writers were writing of "Moses Law" they had diluted the importance
that they were God's laws, commandments, statues, ordinances, etc.
Just leave it to religious people to delute the importance of God's Words through his
mitzvah, Torah, statues, ordinances, commandments, laws, etc.
Are you not the woman who wrote the things above?
(you barely changed your name when you rejoined...)

You once claimed to believe the entire NT was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit,
but there you go again claiming "Paul" must be being twisted. Because you don't like what's said?
btw...not Paul's words...God's Word.
We need the whole counsel of God.
Of course the whole Bible is for the saved. The entire Bible is a Christian book!

It is the OT we interpret by the light of the New, not the other way around.
This is one of the primary dangers of Judaizers, and the 2 Peter 3 verse seems to be a favorite.

You do realize that with your comment about people who do not follow Torah you have condemned them?
Saying they're on "the broad road"?

they believed there was a god,and even the new covnent will teach , you have to believe in a god. (some seen and spoke with this god) abram believed that this god, could raise the dead, ie raised the knife to kill his son issac. the knock on affect a of his faith started the history of the plan of this god,to run through history. to a writen bible.(to keep it short) turn out to be the first command in the time of moses. how abraham is correct with the lord jesus.

all glory to god and jesus and the holy spirit.

[Acts 15:5-24]
And that's the end of the matter.

It's so plain and simple. Yet we have these very same teachers in our midst opposing the will of GOD and casting stumbling blocks before the brethren.

Act 15:5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."
...
Act 15:10 [Peter, the head of the apostles, said] why do you test God by putting a yoke [of the law of Moses] on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
...
Act 15:19 [James, the head over the worldwide assembly of believers, said] I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, [by telling them to keep the law of Moses]
...
Act 15:23 [So] ... the apostles, the elders, and the brethren [wrote this letter] to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

Act 15:24 We have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law [of Moses]"—to whom we gave no such commandment [i.e., they are speaking their own words, not GOD's]

Were the New Testament writers referring to the New Testament writings so they could understand, and interpret the Old Testament?
According to scripture the New Testament didn't take effect until the death of Christ.
Hebrews 9:16-17 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Jesus told the Pharisees that they didn't believe Moses writings, and that's why they wouldn't believe the words He spoke.
John 5:45-47 (KJV)
[SUP]45 [/SUP]Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
[SUP]46 [/SUP]For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
[SUP]47 [/SUP]But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Why do you ask? I thought you would know, or are you asking to this question that is really foolish, and Biblically we should avoid questions like this. I think you know why. These men trusted God. God was using these people in the process of events leading up to the founding of the nation of Israel. Why didn't you include Moses? He didn't have the law either until Israel existed. God told him what to say to them. Where did Israel learn to transgress? Egypt represents the World, and we are in the world just as they were.

Exodus 23:20-22 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

Romans 4:15 (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Galatians 3:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

I suppose some will believe that transgressions will go away when the law goes away. Nice carnal thought, bad consequence.

Romans 8:7 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

My dear Sister in the Lord,

What do you think I've been writing about all these years? Scripture warned us that, "all nations will turn against Israel," and so they have. If anybody had told me 35 years ago that the United States would go against the Jewish state during my lifetime, I would've thought he was a few bricks short of a load. Nevertheless, so it has turned out to be.

Obama is a Muslim, you know, so he is naturally more concerned with Islamic interests than he is with the wellbeing of our country. So you are right, every executive order he has written is aimed at the destruction of our constitutional government or Israel's, and it all came about after the new nation of Israel was established in 1948 and Jerusalem was freed of Gentile control in 1967.

When I was a young man, almost everyone I met was a Christian, maybe not a Bible thumping Baptist, but they believed in God and were generally moral. Then came the sexual revolution, gross immorality and epidemic drug abuse. Prayers were taken out of the school, the 10 Commandments could no longer be displayed, the Constitution was abandoned and we raised a hedonistic generation of children that your parents and mine would not have recognized as Americans.

The America you and I remember does not exist anymore because few people like us exist anymore! For many years my heart, like yours, ached over what was happening to our land. While we slept, we lost our country to the ungodly and if I understand Bible prophecy correctly, we are not going to get it back.

I am now 86. I wrote my first book on Bible prophecy 30 years ago; the church wasn't interested back then, and it is even less interested now. Twenty years ago, I was teaching five (2 hour) Bible prophecy studies a week to different groups, with between 15 and 50 people attending each group (Monday through Friday evenings). Today, I can't find even five people who are interested. When I don't preach "happy, happy, happy we’re all going to be raptured out," the congregation disappears like a puff of smoke. Almost every week someone will call me or write me saying, “Praise God, I finally understand Revelation.” Then they asking for another book so they can give one to their pastor. I just tell them, "Save your money because he can’t hear it.” <sigh>

Today's ho-hum lack of interest in God's word used to eat me alive, but not anymore because I realize that God's plans are perfect. Every ungodly thing we see happening today was predicted in Scripture and each one is an indication of the soon return of the Lord Jesus. God is indeed in charge and He has not forgotten how to take care of His righteous remnant. You or I could die tonight, but neither of us is going to die of old age. Jesus return is that close so I'm just looking up. Please be looking up with me. We can't wait, can we? <smile>

Love you in the Lord, sister,... Received this today of a friend and author I just thought I'd post out of interest I know some will say wats this to do with law , ? But israels betrayal is at hand so I urge all who read please pray for Israel national and spiritual there are two Israel s remember , I love the USA and Israel by the way very much bt her betrayers are at hand.....
