Imagine you are in a small cabin out in the middle of nowhere by yourself. You don't have electricity or running water, but you DO have food and water and firewood and matches, and an entire shelf full of books (a Bible included), and candles.

And then...BLIZZARD! You wake up in the morning and find you are snowed in.
snowed-in-cabin-in-the-mountains-313920.jpg

You don't know how long you will be stuck there.

What three items would you want to have with you?

I would want:

1. Canvas
2. Acrylic paints
3. Paintbrushes

I'd be teaching myself to paint (for real, not just this spray paint and rusty metal business).

...so let me get this straight...
I'm stuck inside a remote cabin, snowed in with no hope of rescue...
I've only got food, water, wood, light, and fire?

Sounds like Heaven on Earth.

If forced, I'll take along:

1. A knife. Rule #9.
2. Seeds. Nothing better than fresh veggies after a long winter.
3. Soap. No need to offend, even if I'm alone.

Sounds pretty good to me, too...a chance to be ALL BY MYSELF?! YES!

But there's a lot of people who would die of sheer boredom, which is...sad and funny...

I'd just take Jimmy along. I'd be pretty set for the rest of the winter. (Though I might need my own set of snow shoes.)

Though, I guess since this is a hypothetical question, I want to give a different hypothetical answer.

1. A dragon. Flight/transportation, fire for warmth, companionship (well, as much as a dragon can give, unless it's like Toothless on How to Train Your Dragon, which I LOVE), protection...

Yup. I need more sleep. Or lunch.

!!!

Everybody needs a dragon!

(Though, I guess if you had a fire-breathing dragon with you, it could just melt all the snow around the place and you would no longer be stranded...even so, everybody needs a dragon!!)

An axe would be better, but then I would also need a wedge.
