Sorry?? Who told you about this????? Have you asked each of Chinese
I didn't have to ask anyone. The answer was volunteered. But I can understand Christian Chinese having a different frame of mind than liberal atheist Chinese. Although I know a Christian Chinese friend who says they like Hillary. I've just never heard another opinion on Obama given to me yet.

Is it pronounced: Shang Ti ?
Shang Di = 上帝
Tian = 天

Both names for different gods I think. The first is the name used for the Christian God. The second... I'm not sure about. It translates as Heaven, but seems that it has been anthropomorphized because of the way it's been discussed in the past. The original character for 天 (tian), though, looked like a human being.

Hello, i am sorry that i got defensive in some way. I really applogize for my defending and angers. Hmm, i got defensive cause i have seen and heard many racist theories and topics. Here i just want to say each of us is created in God's image. No one is more than any one else, no one is better, no one is less. Maybe some are richer, some get more education, etc, but like one Jane said to Robert,I'm poor, humble, and not pretty. but we are all equal when our soul break through grave and stand in front of God. This is to myself because i often would get proud.
About different nations, i want to share some verses here: Collossians3:10-16

The second God means the God who created the world, the God who contorls everything, the God who is most powerful,the God whoes hands our destinies are in.... So what do you think 天 is:)

I've heard that both 天 and 上帝 were names used for ancient pagan gods in the past. I think the earliest Chinese people were animistic. Perhaps this is where the concept of 天 - meaning heaven, day or sky and being represented as a person - comes from. But if you're saying that both of these words are used to describe the Christian God, then we must understand that each word has two different meanings. One is pagan and the other is Christian.

By the way, I am not racist against the Chinese. I have plenty of Chinese friends. :D Sorry for generalizing in my other post.

Despite making provision for freedom of religion in the Chinese Constitution (article 36 added in 1978), China has never really honored it.
This part isn't too shocking. Our government doesn't honor much of our Constitution anymore.
