It is amazing how men look with their eyes & cannot see, & listen with their ears & cannot hear, & think with their minds & cannot discern what is before them.

it sure is.

i'm amazed that a person can hear the literal word of God taken directly from scripture and sung to music, totally ignore it, and call the song "satanic" because there is a distortion pedal used on the guitar, the singer has a raspy voice, or some dj scratches a record.

for example, the lyrics to this song are Psalm 3, word for word:
[video=youtube_share;fxudY2hJut0]http://youtu.be/fxudY2hJut0[/video]

however many people, even knowing what the singer says, even knowing that the artist dedicates all his music to the LORD, even knowing that this is the scripture itself set to music -- many people will blaspheme the work of the Holy Spirit and call it 'evil' because the sound of it irritates them.

pretty amazing indeed.

This isn't the first time in history that wicked people said good things to get a following:

Acts 16:16-18 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: [SUP]17 [/SUP]The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. [SUP]18 [/SUP]And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

This girl was saying good things with a demon in her. Her "good words" didn't make her right. Her "good words" were no excuse to let her continue doing what she did. Paul cast the demon out of her by the leading of the Holy Spirit, proving that God doesn't approve of it or want us around it. He still doesn't.

did i mention how much i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this???

My shield is broken, my strength is gone
Like a raven the foe is around me
My legs are bleeding because of their arrows
And my sword is not right in my hand.

I lay on the ground crying in despair for help
My foes tell me that no one will hear me
They laugh and spit in my face!
Pain and sorrow invade my heart

I feel new strength that lifts me up
I heard a voice from heaven saying:
But I am a shield for you, your glory
And I lift up your head.
You should not be afraid of ten thousand foes
They have set themselves against you

My foes run in fear at the Voice
That resonates like thunder in the heavens
Others fall down before that holy Presence
And I stand up in fear and frightened.

O Lord; save me, for thou hast smitten all mine foes against me
On the cheek of bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly
My salvation belongs unto my Lord, Thy blessing is upon us

who can stand against the LORD ???? !!

edit: this isn't word-for-word Psalm 3. sorry about my error in previous post ^^ i was going by memory & this artist does sing many psalms word-for-word in this style. but based on and taken from Psalm 3.

The name Pele-joez-el-gibbor-abi-ad-sar-shalom (Hebrew: פֶּלֶא יֹועֵץ אֵל גִּבֹּור אֲבִיעַד שַׂר־שָׁלֹֽום) is a prophetic name or title which occurs in Isaiah 9:6 in the Hebrew Bible. It is one of a series of prophetic names found in Isaiah ch.7-9, including most notably Emmanuel "God with us". The meaning of Pele-joez-el-gibbor-abi-ad-sar-shalom is variously interpreted as "Wonderful in counsel is God the mighty, the Everlasting Father, the Ruler of Peace"

Isaiah 9:6-7 [SUP]6 [/SUP]For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

This scripture makes no mention of Him being a "warrior" Strange how these people always proclaim him as a warrior king, as if all he does is make war. Isn't this one of those "another Jesus" like Scripture proclaims people will preach about?

So that makes it wrong? How many times did God aid King David, or Joshua, or any other biblical figure in battle? Does David make absolutely no mention of God trampling His enemies in psalms? Because the bands name has nothing to do with warrior it automatically means that if their lyrics do they must be wrong? You are literally grasping at whatever it is you can find just because the fact is there is no verse to support your idea that this music is wrong.

Again, you won't change our minds, we won't change yours, now go away.

there's a precedent in scripture for your scorn & disbelief too:

"Can anything good come out of Nazereth?" (John 1:46)

"This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub" (Matthew 12:24)

"Do not call something unclean that God has made clean" (Acts 10:15)

"The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too. For they heard them speaking in other tongues and praising God
" (Acts 10:44-46)

i think that a more appropriate analogy to the scripture you quoted is to the commercialization of 'christian music' -- since the slave girl had been no small source of income to her handlers by way of the spirit of divination in her.
Paul didn't cast out the spirit because what she was saying was accompanied by a guitar solo. the girl's owners were effectively using Paul as advertising for their fortune telling business. She followed Paul around for "many days" before he became "grieved" and put a stop to the divination.

haven't you read Exodus?

Exodus 15:3
"The Lord is a warrior;
the Lord is his name
"

Isaiah?

Isaiah 42:13
"The Lord goes out like a mighty man, like a man of war he stirs up his zeal; he cries out, he shouts aloud, he shows himself mighty against his foes."

Psalms?

Psalm 144:1-2
"
Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
"

Nehemiah?

Nehemiah 4:20
"Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!"

Deuteronomy?

Deuteronomy 20:4
"
For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you."

Joshua?

Joshua 23:3
"And ye have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the Lord your God is he that hath fought for you."

classic!

i'll see your crimson moonlight & raise you a thorn

[video=youtube_share;EZfBx8KcuW8]http://youtu.be/EZfBx8KcuW8[/video]

lyrics:

That which is born of flesh is flesh
that which is born of spirit is spirit
A man cannot see the kingdom of God
unless he is born of the spirit
that's why the followers of Christ
are called born again

Grow in grace and in the knowledge
of our Lord and Savior (Jesus Christ)
to Him be glory both now and forever
talk to Him daily and study His word
so that your spirit may grow

I will rejoice in the Lord
My soul shall be joyful in my God
for He has clothed me
with the garments of salvation
and has covered me with the robe of righteousness

For true Christians are the light of the world
Blessed are they who are persecuted for it
because theirs is the kingdom of Heaven
let your light so shine that men
may see what you have done
and glorify your Father which is in Heaven

Whoever hears the sayings of Jesus and does them
will be likened to a wise man who built his
house upon a rock. And the rain descended
and the floods came and the wind blew
and beat upon the house and it fell not.
Because it was founded upon a rock.

And whoever hears the sayings of Christ
and does not do them shall be likened
unto a man who built his house upon the sand
and the storms descended upon the house
and it fell and great was it's fall

Open your eyes to a relationship with Christ
continually seek His word
become a true disciple
a child of God
then you shall know the truth
the truth shall set you free

Don't put your trust in the riches of this world
trust in the Living God who gives
us all things to enjoy
that you'll be rich in good works, spiritual treasure
Benevolence, generosity

By the mercies of God
present your bodies
a living sacrifice
Holy, acceptable unto God
though Christ is absent in the flesh
He is with us in the spirit
receive Him in your heart
and walk in faith

So let us fight the good fight
and run the race before us
lay aside every weight and sin
that so easily stops us

whoever is born in God
will have the victory
to know the one true God, Jesus Christ
this is eternal life

i have to agree i like Crimson Moonlight better though.
