Most of us have been on other forums where we find numerous people who deny the Deity of Jesus Christ, and a lot of them still claim to be Christians. Personally, I am convinced that they are psuedo-christians, who have been deceived by one or more of the false doctrines that spread like a cancer. So in those kind of environments, very heated debates, are inevitable.

While most of us are familiar with using verses like John 1:1 & 1:14 and Php. 2:7 to prove the Deity of Christ.

John 1:1 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (NKJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Philippians 2:6 (NKJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

But I am wanting us to share the unusual or unique ways to prove the Deity of Jesus Christ. The unbelievers, who deny HIS Deity have standard, memorized answers for the most common verses that we use, however I found a verse the other day that I had never noticed before as being a proof of HIS DEITY. And when I shared it with two others that do not believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ; they had no instant memorized answer to come back with. Their silence was amusing. Here is that unique way to prove HIS Deity:

Mark 2:8 (HCSB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Right away Jesus understood in His spirit that they were thinking like this within themselves and said to them, Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?

By the way, that also varifies that "HIS spirit" IS part of the ALL KNOWING GOD.
1 Chronicles 28:9 (ESV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP]“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

Another way that I have used Scripture to validate the Deity of Jesus Christ, is the Feeding of the five thousand and the four thousand:

Matthew 16:8-11 (NKJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?
[SUP]11 [/SUP]How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?--but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

I will tell them: He stood there in front of 5000 witnesses on one occasion and in front of 4000 witnesses on another occasion; and continually CREATED more loaves and more fishes, proving beyond doubt that HE is the Creator, AND EXACTLY HOW HE CREATES. Roman Law at the time of Christ required at least 5 witnesses to an event to declare it undeniably TRUE, and JESUS went WAY BEYOND THAT. AND I will also point out that absolutely NO scientific age dating method would EVER get the age or origin of those loaves and fishes correct. Then I back all that up with this Scripture:

Colossians 1:16-18 (HCSB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He is also the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything.

I have seen all sorts of names used including the hebrew names for god the father only.I use Christ, just Jesus at times, and other times Lord, the point for me is I believe in Jesus Christ& The trinity. I don't know can we always tell who doesn't believe by that all the time.I have confess Jesus Christ, should we always assume about everybody else,IDK?

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Luke 5:20 - 25 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Here is what we know for sure:

John 1:12-13 (HCSB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name,
[SUP]13 [/SUP]who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.

Notice believing in His name is not enough, it says "those who believe in His name who were born . . . of God."; (born again). And it says to all who did receive Him, NO MORE, NO LESS.

But what are we to receive HIM as?

Colossians 2:6 (NIV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him,

We are to receive Him as LORD, which means MASTER. MANY want a Savior, but FEW want a LORD to be their MASTER.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Romans 10:9 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP]that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

NOTICE it says CONFESS, not PROFESS. It is not a confession if you have not already surrendered and received Jesus as LORD in your heart. It has to be TRUE about yourself before you can say it as a confession, otherwise it is ONLY a profession. and not a confession. Here HE describes those who only profess He is Lord, while NOT truly giving HIM control of their lives as LORD and MASTER.

Matthew 7:21-23 (HCSB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP]“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but ⌊only⌋ the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!

That is that inner personal LOVE relationship that comes with submitting to HIM as LORD.

NO, receiving HIM as LORD, is NOT works righteousness. That is part of that "gift of faith" that was put in your heart by the HOLY SPIRIT. The fact that one "does receive Him as LORD", is purely a work of the HOLY SPIRIT.

We can discern whether or not someone is a true Christian, by examining their spiritual fruit (Mat. 7:20 & Gal. 5:22). BUT REMEMBER, it takes at least 2 years from the day it sprouts, before you will see any fruit on that tree.

So why are we NOT booting the phonies out of our Churches? BECAUSE our LORD is in the business of turning phonies into real Christians. I used to be a phony, but HE did not give up on me. If they are listening to the WORD being taught, there is always HOPE.

Romans 10:14 (NKJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

To deny the deity of Christ is to deny Christ.........in my opinion, that's not such a good idea. But, now, that may just be me.

I agree. HE is GOD in the flesh and HE is LORD which means MASTER. To receive Him as anything less, is creating for yourself a false Christ. It is NOT even enough to acknowledge who HE is, or else the two thousand demons that made up Legion, were all saved. NO, one must willingly submit to HIM as LORD and MASTER, and KNOW that because of HIS DEITY, HE has the right and authority to rule. We can ONLY do that by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that IS part of the "gift of FAITH."

Matthew 24:24 (NKJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

John 14:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

2 Corinthians 5:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Thomas called Jesus his lord and GOD, and Jesus didn't rebuke him for idolatry. Rather he said blessed are those who believe without seeing.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:28-29

Jesus knew GOD said:

You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

Yet he said:

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. John 14:1

Here's another stun-gun scripture for them...

Who are Israelites, whose are the adoption and the glory, and the covenants, and the Lawgiving, and the service, and the promises; whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen. (Romans9.4 – 5)

Go back to Philippians 2:6
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

If he is only a man, then he is a deceived man in thinking he is equal to God and therefore not worthy to be our Savior (having sinned). He is either God and his thoughts are true or he is not our Savior.

Deut 10:17 (NKJV)
17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.

Rev 17:14 (NRSV)
14 they will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful."

In 1 Corinthians 8-10 Paul has set up monotheism as this relational, loving commitment to the one God of Israel over against idolatry. According to Paul, the person who “loves God” (1 Cor 8.3) knows that “there is no God but one” (1 Cor 8. 4). We can see that from this language being utilized, Paul here is alluding to the Jewish confession of monotheism, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”

Paul picks up on this very point in v. 6, “to us there is but one God, the Father from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” But it is here at v. 6 that Unitarians argue for some kind of ontological distinction between the “one God” (v. 6a), and the “one Lord” (v. 6b), but the nature of that distinction is of some debate between sectarian groups. On one end of the spectrum, the Witnesses argue that though pagans had “many gods and many lords” (v. 5), lords were considered secondary deities in relationship to the gods, and so Paul is borrowing from that idea in his comparison of Christ the “one Lord,” and the Father who is the “one God.” On the other, Socinians argue that v. 5 distinguishes “gods” as heavenly figures from “lords,” who are their earthly representatives, and that v. 6 likewise distinguishes between the Father as God in contrast to Christ, who is His representative Lord.

It seems particularly odd that the Witnesses would even attempt to argue that “lords” are deities second to the “gods,” particularly in light of their position of Christ as “a god.” Likewise, it also seems awkward that the Socinian would argue for a distinction of “gods” as heavenly figures, and “lords” as their earthly representatives, especially in light of the Unitarian proposition that Jesus did not become “Lord” until his exaltation to the right hand of the Father in heaven. Further, in v. 5 Paul refers to the “gods” as being both in heaven and on earth (“For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth”), which ultimately undermines the Socinian interpretation by showing that Paul was not distinguishing between “gods” in heaven, and “lords” on earth.

Neither of these arguments really seem to consider, and for obvious reasons, that κύριος (“Lord”) is the divine title emphasized in the Shema, “The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” And in light of the overall context, Paul gives us the Christian self-understanding of how the monotheism of the Jewish Scriptures is to be interpreted in light of the incarnation of Jesus the Messiah, the “one Lord.” Some of the key terms found in the Shema is found here at 1 Corinthians 8.6
(θεὸς, κύριος, and εἷς).

In this passage Paul draws upon the monotheistic concept that God alone created the universe. To steal the words of Richard Bauckham (God Crucified: Monotheism & Christology, 38-39), “that God is not only the agent or efficient cause of creation ('from him are all things') and the final cause or goal of all things ('to him are all things'), but also the instrumental cause ('through him are all things') well expresses the typical Jewish monotheistic concern that God used no one else to carry out his work of creation. By Paul's reformulation in 1 Corinthians 8:6, he includes Christ in this exclusively divine work of creation by giving to him the role of instrumental cause,” and thereby includes Christ in the one divine identity.

Throughout this argument, Paul does not go on to speak about, as one would perhaps expect, the relationship between the Corinthians, and the “one God, the Father” over and against idolatry; but rather, the argument is about the relationship between the Corinthians, and the “one Lord” Jesus over against idolatry (10.19-22). And in a number of occasions throughout this discourse Paul places God, and Jesus the "Lord of glory" (1 Cor 2.8) side-by-side, attributing functions to, and describing Christ in such a way that would identify Him as the Lord of the OT (1 Corinthians 1.2 [c.f. Romans 10.13, Joel 2.32]; 1 Corinthians 1.30-31 [c.f. Jeremiah 9.23-24]; 1 Corinthians 2.16 [c.f. Isaiah 40.13]). In fact, just several passages earlier, Paul warns his Corinthian audience not to tempt Christ as the Israelites once did, and subsequently were brought to their destruction (1 Corinthians 10.9
[c.f. Numbers 21.5-6; Exodus 17.2]).

The relationship, and language used of this "one Lord" Jesus, and the Corinthian Christians directly corresponds with the language used of God's relationship to Israel.

John 1, and a copy was written (( of the manuscript containing it )) close to 200 years before, Constantine and that little council . That blows that out the water, that he and that council had something to do with Christ as God.
