I just asked my kids if they wanted to go to the circus when it's here in a couple of weeks. My son said, "Yes, as long as there aren't any clowns." Uh, they've never been to the circus before.

I'm not afraid of clowns, I guess they're a little creepy or can be. I had no idea he didn't like clowns. I think they're funny.

Why do clowns freak people out? Do they freak you out? Bee's freak me out, big hairy spiders and the IRS, but clowns no.

What freaks you out?

White faced clowns can be scary. Not sure why... maybe looking human but NOT really looking human?

Heights freak me out. And snakes...

Yeah I guess they can look a little freaky. I don't like the clowns who have the white face with little black triangles under their eyes.

I think clowns freak some people out because all their makeup hides who they are and it makes them seem mysterious in a bad way. And they behave kind of like drunk people (unpredictable and strange). I guess this can freak a kid out.

I am not, nor have I ever have been scared of clowns, but I can get why some people are.

Lightning freaks me out. You will never catch me outside when there is thunder and lightning. I have a weird phobia that thinking about being struck by lightning will make it happen somehow.... then I freak out because I can't stop thinking about it.

"To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kinda scary. I've wondered where this started, and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad." -- Jack Handey, Deep Thoughts

What freaks you out?
Anything that's new to me.

It was Gacy, my roommates have an encyclopedia of serial killers
I know too many drag queens to be freaked out.
But spiders, heights, and snakes definitely.

Surgery. CSI scenes. People getting sliced up, tortured in movies. Hate it. All such things actually do happen to people in real life. Oh, and Obama Care. Sorry. Had to get in there. But it does freak me.

I do have to admit that the sound of the skull saws at autopsies kinda make my skin crawl...

Very little freaks me out, I collect spiders and scorpions. I love snakes. Clowns? Anything that dies when you stab doesn't freak me out.

I think the thing that scares me most is the unexplained phenomena that is the female race. I am busy building a compendium of combined knowledge on these strange creatures to help others who find them to strange to understand.

Dutch ovens freak me out.

Seriously. You're reading in bed and then all of a sudden it's like "I did that?" I think I might need to see a doctor.
