I may be wrong, but I believe that only Mormons who have been through the temple wear them.
That means they must have gotten a temple recommend, which can only be obtained by lying.
Hello? I am right here...I am Mormon. What do you want to know? And I do not lie on my recommend interview...that is silly. Why do you say that? That is weird.

Ditch Joseph Smith's writings and just take the Bible as it is. I think there's a whole lot going on behind the scenes that the average Mormon believer knows nothing about.

I don't think that Joseph Smith received additions to the bible from an Angel. I don't think that any prophecies of the mormoms have come to pass. I may be confusing with Jehovah's witnesses but you all look the same to me. I hope you find the cross and not the works of the occult book Mormon.

Yeah I have seen the Beehive. Funny how he built away it from his house.

If I was in sin like you are by participating in the Mormon church, I would be grateful (at some point, hopefully) if you did what I did.
I feel sad that you think so lowly of the church. I am positive, however, that I will never be grateful for contempt.

Is it true that Mormons love attention when it comes to promoting the LDS, but they become very uncomfortable with attention that criticizes the LDS. That's what this video says....

I just went to the official ask a mormon chat room, and the missionary said he is created.

Here is a screen capture.

The King James bible states Jesus was begotten. This was removed in later version due to it being an error. I never really understood how he was begotten.

Why didn't you answer the question then?

There is no way to get a temple recommend without lying.
Interview question number 13:
"Has there been any sin or misdeed in your life that should
have been resolved with priesthood authorities but has not?"
No way could anybody answer "no" to that and not be lying.

Concerning View of the Hebrews, are you going to address that?

"IF you are a Mormon you are NOT a Christian. Biblical Christians believe that JESUS IS GOD. Mormons to not and so are not Christian. Therefore, you are NOT saved because those that are saved Believe that Jesus is God incarnate. Mormons believe in a different Jesus...not the one from the Bible, but an IF you are a Mormon you are NOT a Christian. Biblical Christians believe that JESUS IS GOD. Mormons to not and so are not Christian. Therefore, you are NOT saved because those that are saved Believe that Jesus is God incarnate. Mormons believe in a different Jesus...not the one from the Bible"

Please shall we not jump to fast. Did you not read the post? I think the word Mormon puts a wall up immediately, but if we are Christian we need to listen and talk; not condemn right off the bat.

Blessings

John 3:16 says Jesus was God's "only begotten son".
Not removed, not an error.

try Matthew when Jesus was baptised. This is my son in whom I am well pleased. Adam was created, Jesus was begotten. Born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit.

John 3:16 says Jesus was God's "only begotten son".
Not removed, not an error.
Begotten was not part of the script. It was an interpolation made by later scribes. Interpolations should be put into brackets so as not to be confused with the actual text.

Example

Mark 7:19 ends with "(In saying this, Jesus declared all foods 'clean')." This is an interpolation added by a scribe later so goes into brackets.

Why do people bring up the special underwear bollocks? I'm more concerned about the teachings and the secrecy that masks itself as being 'Christian'.

So there is a lot of crazy stuff out there about Mormons. The truth is that most of it is not true and part of it is misunderstood. Some Christians feel utter contempt towards the Mormons. Others, just think the mormons are non-christian crazy folks. Well, I am a Mormon. Preferably, I like to be referred to as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but a Mormon is okay too. I call myself a christian, but it true that I do not believe in the "trinity," but I do believe in Jesus Christ. I also believe He is a God. He is my God. I do not believe he was created (a huge myth about the mormons). I strive to follow His teachings and love Him. I also want to make the world a better place by following His example: treating others kindly and respecting others' beliefs. I believe christians, not matter the details of their beliefs, can band together to fight the evils of this world. This banding together however has to start with an attempt to understand what is important to each individual, focusing on common ground, and respect each other, despite differences.

So my purpose on this thread is answer and discuss civilized questions about mormonism the best I can in hopes to, if nothing else, express my love for my Savior Jesus Christ and to gain respect as a christian here on christianchat.com. If you fell utter contempt for mormonism, this is not the place to express it...please, please, please x a hundred. ;) If you feel it is your duty to call me to some kind of repentance or sway me in my beliefs...know now that if I turned my back on what I believe, I would become atheist...so its not a good idea and not possible. However, if you really want to know about me or my religion or something crazy you have heard about mormonism, ask away. Thank you.
"I also believe He is a God."

This one statement disqualifies you from being a Christian. Jesus Christ is NOT "A" God. He is God. The indefinite pronoun you use here means that he is one of many. There is a god here, and a god there. Mormans get to be "a" god when they die if they fulfill all the requirements.

Jesus Christ is not even "the" God. He is just "God". Or God Almighty. Part of the Trinity you do not believe in. You do not believe in the Trinity because you believe in a multiplicity of gods, right? All going to different planets to become gods of those planets?

"In Mormonism, the goal of each adherent is to achieve "exaltation" via the atonement of Jesus, as a result of which they inherit all the attributes of God the Father, including godhood. Mormons believe that these people will become gods and goddesses in the afterlife, and will have "all power, glory, dominion, and knowledge".[SUP][6][/SUP] Moreover, Mormons teach that exalted people will live with their earthly families and also "have spirit children".[SUP][7][/SUP] Their posterity will continue to grow forever."

So Jesus Christ is just "a" god among many?

I'm afraid we have to part our ways at this point in your initial post.

This is not the case with me. How i honestly feel is this: I have so many blessings from God. I sure would like to share what i have with others. I also desire to learn from others (there are a lot of good people who do not believe as I do and that is okay) and talk of Jesus Christ. When others attack me or my beliefs, I feel sad, because my intentions are pure. Uncomfortable is not the right word...just sad.

He is my God. He is my friend. I hope to be worthy to be with Him. That is all.
