I really hate it when both sides are being supplied arms from super powers. You wouldn't want them to run out now.

I agree, but that logic seems to be putting the cart before the horse. They should just stop killing each other to begin with.
 
Listen, the insurgents are being armed by the United States.
Syria is being armed by the Russians.
The insurgents are muslim extremists from other countries that are waging a 'holy' jihad.
These same kill christians in Syria, and work toward the aim of uniting the entire middle east under sharia law.

So does attacking weaponry manufactured in Russia constitute an attack on Russia? If this were so almost every nation on the planet would be at war with Russia.
