The thing that I take issue with, is when children are born as a girl or boy, but their parents decide to raise them 'gender neutral'.
This is such a damaging thing for little children.
 
Germany, the US, or any other country can recognize whatever they want. But, fortunately God does not fall under theirs or our jurisdiction.

The only thing is, there are indeed other genders besides male and female. I could see a hermaphrodite not wanting to have to "register" as one or the other.

This is not to say this won't be abused by those who just want to make their child different, but I don't object to the change per se.
 
Intersex is indeed a necessary "gender item". As JimJimmers brought up, the problem that most hermaphrodites have is not being sure what their genders are. They have the sexualities that their parents give them based on physical genitalia. However, hormonally, it doesn't match with the outside of the body. Although it is rare, hermaphroditism is a real condition and the intersex option would be viable for hermaphrodites until they settle on the gender they prefer to live.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Satan. As Christians, he gets too much credit for everything wrong in the world. Remember, we live in a fallen, cursed, and broken world because of sin itself. He can't be everywhere at once.

If a person is born without recognizable girl parts, or boy parts, what's the issue with this?


Or is this talking about a person who may have been born with totally verifiable boy parts, but due to other things they want to be known as neutral? In this situation I'd totally agree the German's are wrong.


Again I'm not as informed on this topic as others.
So please fill me in.

Stilly, Stilly, Stilly...you should learn to click on links and read them because it says "Babies born without clear gender-determining characteristics can soon be registered without a sex on birth certificates"

It says that right under the main title. So yes, it only includes those without distinct genitalia. :P

We live in a fallen, cursed, and broken world because of satan. He IS the reason for everything wrong in this world. And given how the spiritual and physical world interact, even tho he can't be everywhere at once he can give the impression that he is. And he has minions to do his bidding too, so if he can't keep an appointment one of his demons can.

Do not underestimate your enemy.

Adam and Eve had a CHOICE to eat the fruit they were forbidden to touch. Yes, they were still deceived. But in the end, they still had the choice to eat the fruit or be in the right fully trust God in what he says.
 
Hermaphroditism is a real condition. They have BOTH sets of genitalia. But even those people eventually identify with one gender and generally have the second set removed. There is also a condition where the male genitalia are not descended, and when breasts and periods do not develop in the teenage years, it is the beginning of a very difficult journey for those men who have been raised as women. They are both truly a result of the Fall, as are all other genetic diseases.

However, I hope that the "bisexuals" do not use this as an excuse to have their birth certificates changed, in order to change from a real gender to one they are not born with.

From what the article said, the intersex option will only apply for those born with both sets of genitalia as you said earlier. From what the article has said, bisexuals won't have that option.
 
I didn't hear that in the video. I really hope it is not a loophole. I do feel very sorry for those who are "intersexed". But although it is NOT the way God meant anyone to be, they are still created in the image of God, spiritually speaking. I am sure it causes terrible problems, like the woman who spoke in the video so clearly indicated.

It causes many problems for people. Being ridiculed by an uncompassionate conservative crowd doesn't help. Am I saying all conservatives are not compassionate? No. I am a conservative myself. But there are many who are so traditional and so pharasaic to the point that any genetic misnomer in terms of sexuality gets put off as it's a sin that can be helped. Lack of compassion is one of the reasons why non-christians have such a hard time relating to Christianity in the first place. If we were more compassionate people, just think of how much of an impact we could make on people. Pharasaic people are the very people Christ rebuked over and over. Without examining through the prospects of "a log being in our own eyes", it is impossible to truly love other people into the church.
 
Yes, Thomas, but the third gender is neuter. And gender has no real rhyme or reason in any language. French, Greek, Spanish, it is all random why some things are masculine, others feminine and in Greek and German, the neuter.

These people have 2 genders, instead of one. Not none!

No wonder. California has three gendered restrooms...male-female-unisex. And if that is not enough, students who can't decide from day to day will be able to visit the gender-room they feel apply for that day. But no worry, we're quite normal down here ³‰♪†ø.
 
For all but a tiny sliver of the population, the solution is simple:

1. Look down. The plumbing is what you are.

There's only one simple step so this should be relatively straight forward.

For those that find themselves with a birth defect, arrangements need to be made. What we don't want to do is extrapolate the birth defects of a few upon the entire human race and that's what's unfortunately happening.
