Good morning, good evening to you in the West, HI, The battle between the forces of light and darness is a never ending battle; I just have to walk away from my computer and ,breathe a sign of releaf and praise God for the wonderful trues that Jesus has revealed in the New Testament. I can walk into my church and ,with great confidence and boldness and give my people the uadulterated WORD of GOD , O. & N. T's, as interpreted, fulfilled and expanded by Jesus, the eternal SON od GOD who has forever dwelt in the bosom of the Father, eternally begoten, not made. The eternal truth has been brought to light by by the incarnate, eternal, Son of God.! Most of the hidden trues in the O.T. are cleared up; yet Jesus gives us more mysterys of His second coming, to try to figure out. In my humble opinion,LOL, I think God has given us a great key to understanding the relationship of the O. & the N. t's. in Romans 8:29-30. I have called this: God's Eternal Covenant Of Grace. This covers all of time and all the covenants that God has mediated and administered. Chapters 8-11 covers all of salvation of all times. It is all by GRACE. All that man has been required to do, is by GRACE, only by GRACE, could sinnful man do the laws which God required of us in any and each age. God never changes His overall plan of salvation, Rom.8:28-30, He only administers it different in each age. The steps in God plan of salvation have always been the same: 1. Loved of God 2.elected of God 3. Born of God 4. Justified by God 5. Glorified by God; All by God's grace. None of you have caught onto God's eternal Cov. of GRACE. It would clear up much confusion for all of you. Love to all, Hoffco
But how does one obtain grace, Law, works, ignorance of sin, prayer, bible reading, fasting. what constitutes grace and how is it obtained? I left one out on purpose.

IOt is hard to have a real debate with you when you ignore the fact that what you call "the Law of Mosheh" Yahshua calls the Law of His Father...
If you didn't have your head so buried in that cult's bible translation, you'd know that even Jesus called it the law of Moses.

[Jesus] said to [the disciples], “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything that is written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Luke 24:44

[Jesus said,] If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses would not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole man well on the Sabbath? John 7:23

To Kelly. As I tell sinners every day, only God CAN give the GIFT of GRACE and only you can ASK for it.So Humble your seek and seek God to save you by His GRACE. In faith we Seek and in Grace God gives. But this eternal cov. of GRACE is a very humbling truth. With men salvation is impossible, only by Grace, power and mercy of God . can a sinner be transformed into a saint and be forgiven of sin. But, Once God has saved us, the sky is the limit; then our works are holy and acceptable to God , therefore , Noah found grace, and Mary , being a good, holy, women found grace to be the virgin to have God's son. Moses by grace found grace to be chosen to lead God's people. etc. etc.. Love to all, Hoffco

. . .the issue of what Christ did/does and on what basis is worth pursuing:

Hebrews 7:20-2220 And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath, 21 but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him:
“The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.’”

22 This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.
Jesus is the guarantor, surety, guarantee of both
that I will perform my part of the covenant (faith) and
that God will perform his part of the covenant (salvation).

Yes, an entire New Covenant, one of Grace, the fulfillment of the Promise made to Abraham was put in place.
The New Covenant was not the fulfillment of a promise to Abraham, it was the fulfillment of a promise to Israel through Jeremiah (31:31-34).

And yes, "an entire New Covenant had to be put in place" due to God's promise of a New Covenant
(Jer 1:31-34), because the people broke the Old (Sinaitic) Covenant (Jer 11; Heb 8:8),
and not because Jesus was made High Priest of a new order and could not administer the
Old Covenant.

Covenants are not administered in Scripture, they are mediated.

Was the Old Covenant broken? Yes - but that was not the only reason for the New - the New was to bring Life - something the Old could not do.
You are confounding the reason/cause (promised) for the New Covenant
with the effect (new life) of the New Covenant.
The reason for the New Covenant was to fulfill the promise of it.
The effect of the New Covenant was eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus.

Elin, consider this carefully:

  • The priesthood of the Old Covenant was of the line of Levi.
  • Jesus was of the Tribe of Judah.
Christ could not have legally administered His own Sacrifice; He was of the Tribe of Judah.
Why is this important?

It goes to prove the obsolescence of the Old Covenant. New Priesthood; New Law.
Okay, I hear you and am considering this point.
And here's what I am considering:

"Every high priest (NB: including the order of Melchizedek) is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one to have something to offer. . .He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood (i.e., sacrifice). . .Christ, through the eternal Spirit offered himself to God. . .for this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant. . .--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free. . ." (Heb 8:3, 9:12, 14-15).

Scripture does not prohibit Christ as High Priest in the order of Melchizedek from offering himself as sacrifice.

This whole rationale of Christ not being able to offer sacrifice because he was of the tribe of Judah falls
on Heb 8:3, 9:12, 14-15, which states he did exactly that.

not to mention saying one loves and doesnt keep Yahweh;s Laws is falsehood.

Mattithyah 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be.
"The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (Jn 6:29)

"Repent, and believe the good news!" (Mk 1:16)

Some people can be very pigheaded. They think they know more than Christ and the N.T.. Just read and believe it. Jesus is God almighty He can do what ever He and the Father want to do. As Jesus He always obeys his eternal Father. As the eternal WORD,SON, He also obeys His eternal Father. Love to all ,Hoffco

No it wasn't. It was an earthly representation of GOD's heavenly abode.

[Levite priests,] Who serve the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, said he, that you make all things according to the pattern [of the heavenly tabernacle] shewed to you in the mount. Hebrews 8:5
You didn't check out those Scriptures, did you?
That doesn't alter God actually dwelling in the earthly tabernacle, as stated in the Scriptures presented above.
This does:

[h=3]Hebrews 8:1-4[/h]Living Bible (TLB)

8 What we are saying is this: Christ, whose priesthood we have just described, is our High Priest and is in heaven at the place of greatest honor next to God himself. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He ministers in the temple in heaven, the true place of worship built by the Lord and not by human hands.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And since every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices, Christ must make an offering too. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The sacrifice he offers is far better than those offered by the earthly priests. (But even so, if he were here on earth he wouldn’t even be permitted to be a priest because down here the priests still follow the old Jewish system of sacrifices.)

What are you referring to?

Are you saying the NT states that Christ administered the New Covenant?

If so, could you give a reference?
Yes that through his death those that BELEIVE ARE MADE LY, IN GOD GIVING THEM NEW LIFE ONCE THEY SEE THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE for sins at all, not for anymore forgiveness from God
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

So by Christ is it done or not?, can we now move on from death to life, the resurrected life of Christ, trusting Father to do this for us by belief in Father's finished work at the cross for us. Is it finished as Christ stated it is in John 19:30
Can anyone improve on perfection, that Christ gave to us that believe? Ever thought that by trying to keep self clean, might be why one can't and are in need of the finished work of Christ at the cross

Is it about winning?
how can it ever be when God has past tense already won through Son, the message left us is the message:
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:19 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation
Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Reconciliation, redemption, propitiation are all the same as forgiven, it is a done deal by God through Son, done at the cross fro all those that believe are also finished from their works as God is from God's since the foundation of the world.
This is so simple that it is hard and only God can reveal this truth

Last post frm hrfd? Spot on that's exactly what Peter said implied, meant, for all listeners , those seeking Christ via the law are adamant we too abide in the same way, even tho Jesus himself has told us no man and that includes us today Jew gentile Greek no man can cme to the father bt by him? Through him? How are we gna do what he asks if we cnt even believe wat he says? No man? You seem think that all under grace are wilfully sinning using grace as a pass to iniquity? Christians struggle with sins lets face it all the fatherless kids out there the abused the violated you think when Jesus gathers one of these there struges are over? Sometimes takes decades for gods love to penetrate the heart that never knew love, the mind scarred by rape, Jesus dnt love like we do, he knows no other way he in himself is the embodiment of what love is, not the idea of love we hold? No Jesus so much bigger than a mans hatred or murder, his love endures past death itself, il not shrink his size in all things to suit some, never I was free the day truth came I'm free today far frm a brilliant Christian and like Paul I would confess there ain't bn no bigger sinner than me til Jesus entered the movie? In five mins flat all questions were answered in my mind there was no reply from me just amazement I'm still amazed at what he has dne for us and does still do daily on our behalf dnt confine Jesus to the law cos you'll miss the greatest journey going..

The constant focus on the law stops us seeing Christ actively in our rich and varied planet, I see Christ as author and finisher of his-story. When we can see ourselves in him everything changes I mean everything ? Knowledge , theology, history, thoughts of time and space , love, awareness of evil as a real force , Jesus as the word , then as a man then as Christ, and son of the father, family, our actions and deeds? All change? Past present and future all changed when truth comes ? Love fulfills the law? Love injures no one? Its also a gift? If we as flesh love our own kids well guess how much gods love is for us? Our minds cannot grasp the scope of this ? If you dnt know gods grace in ur life I doubt very much you'll get this post? But those who are in grace I'm sure will agree ....
And 1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1 x1 = One in him. So as the wind blows and no one knows where it is going, the same is with the holy Spirit of God
Three in one, and more that that now, 1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1 always equals one with many parts
Thanks Welshman

Adam was created with Holy Spirit life which is the meaning of creatures that are sons of God.

.
Not trying to go off subject, but man was not made alive in the Spirit of God prior to the eating of that tree of evil
Elin, nowhere before the fall of Adam and Eve is it ever stated that Adam and Eve were ever born of the Spirit of God. They were alive in the Soul, God breathed into Adam and man became a living Soul. You see they had a choice to eat from any tree except the tree of flesh, known as the knowledge of good and evil
When they did eat from that tree of evil, that masquerades to this very day as good, when it is not
Adam and Eve were born of flesh, seeing they were naked and every person produced after them also born of flesh.
If they were alive in the Spirit, prior to eating of that tree of evil they would have never eaten from that tree that brought death to flesh, being aware of flesh
Now had they eaten from the tree of life (Christ) prior, they would have known and could not have been tricked into eating from the tree of selfishness

Please show me any scripture that says they were alive in the Spirit of God before the eating of that tree that brought death to the Soul, needing life in the Spirit to restore the Soul to life in eternity?

I think many peop[le miss what is really going on in Acts 15... becasue Shaul said things like this, he would have to rebuke himself...

Acts 24:14, "14 But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy--so I worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 3:31, "31 Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"
It is through me personally trying to uphold the Mosaic Laws, that I found out no way possible for me to ever be perfect this way, and when found Christ, (who is never really hidden), I also found out not to use him as an excuse for any and or all sins I might or might not commit, rather I found to only reside on Christ alone in trust to do in me what I found out through the Law I can't in self, seeing that by his death he has past tense made me Holy in his Father's sight, and then that is where I received the new life in Father by Father's Spirit, that came to live in me and through me, keeping me hidden in him, safe and secure, considering me the old self dead, co-crucified with my Lord and Savior, brought back to the resurrected life in the Spirit, where no sin there will ever occur. So I die daily, since I can't predict future, living one day at a time, trusting Father to do the work Father needs through me. Me being Father's vessel, just as Christ was while here on earth
Time to relax and rest from our works as he did from the foundation of this world

Are you saying if you have the Holy spirit, you cannot sin? That wouldn't be true. They could have still ate the fruit and had the holy spirit. They holy spirit was very much alive in the old testament.

Mosheh didnt make the Law up Yahweh Commanded it...

Malakyah 4:4, "Remember the Law of Mosheh My servant, which I commanded through him in Horeb for all Israyl, with the statutes and judgments."

Step 1 =

Mattithyah 19:17-19, "But He said to him: Why do you question Me about righteousness? There is only One Who is the standard of perfection, and that is Yahweh; so if you would enter into life, keep the Laws of Yahweh. He then asked Yahshua; Which ones? Yahshua said: You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false testimony. Honor your father and mother, and; You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

1 Yahchanan (John) 2:3-7, "Now by this we do know that we know Him: If we keep His Laws. He who says: I know Him, but does not keep His Law, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His Law, in him truly is the love of Yahweh perfected: by this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him, is himself also obligated to walk exactly as He walked. Brothers, I write no new Laws to you, but the old Laws which you had from the beginning: The old Laws are the Law which you had from the beginning."

emphasis on LARGE letters...
AND THAT WOULD BE AND IS THE SPIRIT OF THE law, NOT THE LETTER, YES OR NO?

By Father through Son, it is done, we are through the cross of Christ at the resurrected Christ after the death of Christ Holy in Father's sight, no other way

No, one cannot sin if they walk in the Holy Spirit for all sin has been condemned to flesh. therefore if I sin after God has sealed me with the Holy Spirit of fire, it would be of this unredeemed flesh that I forgot I believe is dead at the cross with Christ, that tricks a man and many a people into not reckoning (believing) themselves as dead to sin
[h=3]Romans 8:3[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

[h=3]Romans 6:11[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[h=3]Romans 8:1[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Just was not knowingly alive in them as they had not eaten from the tree of life yet.
And then God when putting them out of the Garden, blocked the way to the garden to keep, anyone from eating off the tree of life, for now being evil if they had, they would have obtained eternal life as being evil, which God prevented from happening until Christ came to earth to redeem us from the evil flesh by giving us life in the Spirit were no sin can ever occur

God today can only be worshipped how? Flesh or Spirit?
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Only one way to worship God, Spirit not flesh. So one has to be alive in Spirit ot truly worship God right? And is there any sin in the Spirit of God or God or Christ?

Me n homeward bound dnt agree 100# on all things, but I tell you now this man talks sense he knows the minutiae and the detail if needed, bt he talks common sense as well and yet still the diversives cnt accept truth when staring them at the face? There are many here who are under a yoke and think the grace believers are wrapped up in sins whenever they choose? Realise this all those under a yoke? The grace believer in simple terms is taking The Lord at his word? He who began a good work in you shall also bring its completion? Its that simple we are trusting Jesus daily til we die to get us to the standard he has set? This is the end of it? You might say no way is it so easy to recieve eternal life and be with god and not put forth effort? Well I'm afraid to say its true? That's why god chose faith? Its nothing to do with us? He has saved us he has dne the work he has paid the full price? And he wants us to simply believe this truth? Unto babes are such things revealed? You scholars? You want confine Jesus to less than he isz? By words and yokes? Il have none of that placed on me brothers Jew gentile or Greek?
