Kerry AGAIN show me ONE person, just ONE that accepted Jesus as Saviour.... In the Bible that is. Your understanding is so anti-christ it is really a bad doctrine. Not ONE person, EVER chose God, God cise him or her. We did not accept God, if we listen to Him HE WILL ACCEPT US!
How do we listen.... REPENT (turn from and stop doing ALL sin) and be baptized (and God will accept you and will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit)... Repent is to stop sin as GOD LEADS TO BAPTISM... God CANNOT fill a dirty person, he has to be baptixed in the BLOOD of Jesus. That is the all cleansing power of one baptism that burns away ALL sin of a SAINT. And the very next moment when the SAINT comes ot of the Blood, he is perfected by the Holy Ghost that fills hin.
The Blood is the FIRE BAPTISM that burns all SIN AND OLD MAN AWAY, and the Holy Ghost fills the NEW MAN to be a NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST JESUS, AND CHRIST JESUS IN HIM... That is what is means by repent and be baptized....

By posting a reference to Systematic Theology, I am in no wise implying that salvation is a checklist or merit badge or name-it, claim-it, ABC, 123 sort of system. Systematic Theology is rather a sort of after-the fact understanding of a sequence of events that occurs in the hearts and minds of people as they come to enlightenment. For most, the study of Systematic Theology does not (or should not) come until after they have are in the process of experiencing a coming to a saving knowledge, a heart of repentance, a mindset of right living, and a seeking after the path of The Way. In fact, Bible College for perhaps way too many becomes such a merit-badge/checklist system, and we end up with a generation of business minded preachers winning souls like selling McDonald's Hamburgers.
Systematic Theology for the believer then simply puts a person on a path of deeper and fuller understanding, of how to read, interpret, understand, apply, and later, - to share with others in a very careful way, the process of enlightenment and the path of sanctification.

As for water baptism, it is not necessary for salvation, and you are correct in that there are times when a new believer can not be water baptized, but they will still receive their reward, times such as a "death bed or battlefield" conversion. However, do not lose sight of the fact that water baptism is important for all new believers to do because there is a reason. If you reread the OP, you will see the reason(s) I discussed.

My dear Angela, I f you look around you will hear a lot of scripture using it in vain. I hear no spiritual understanding. Just quoting scripture is useless without the understanding straight from the Holy Spirit and it is always refreshing, not stale as I see around here.

So, who exactly is teaching systematic theology? What church/organization teaches this?
As for the "bowing and praying to a McDonald's figure," IF that was aimed at Christians, well, no need to respond.
Thankfully, Christianity and "religion" have little - IF ANYTHING - in common.
