Is there a way to hide the facebook/twitter button-bar on the left side of my screen?

aha!...thought I was going nuts, this bar just appeared a few minutes ago and it is frustrating the heck outa me!

Okay, I figured it out. When you hover over the red plus sign, a little arrow appears below it. That hides the annoying Twit-Bar. Only problem is, seems you have to re-hide it on every new page. Stupid and annoying.

Why do you find it frustrating? Or don't you have a widescreen monitor?

I do have a widescreen, but as of this morning, the Twit-Bar is further to the right and now obstructs half of the left side-bar. Plus every time you move your mouse over it, it flashes. Just annoying.

The same thing happened to me.

I just whacked the Twit-Bar with a hammer...
now I don't see it at all.

Huh. That's strange. I have a widescreen monitor and the icons are off to the far left of the screen. Even when I hover my mouse over them, they don't interfere with anything else.

I've managed to eliminate it completely with Adblock..great!

same here...but problem solved now.

Hmm, I don't know why, but my bar has now moved from the left side to the right side, maybe it can be set somewhere less annoyng somehow (sadly I don't know what casued it to move)

I just installed AdBlockPlus downloaded from CNET and Twit-Bar is still there.
Suggestions?
after Adblock installed, right click on the twitbar's red plus square, move mouse to adblock ...follow the rest (gives a few options)

I Adblocked mine, now I see it is on the right side as well, Adblocked that now....wonder if it will appear somewhere else now!

The admin moved it. They only have the option of having it on the left or right, so now it's on the right. At least it's not covering info in the left side-bar now. Thanks admin!
