Popclick's thread about Bob got me thinking. There are a number of things about which I could say "I don't see why anyone would do that." This thread is to get those questions answered.

Post in this thread if you want help understanding something you can't fathom. I'll start off, this question is for Catlynn or anyone else who knows.

I don't see why anyone would leave Hawaii. It seems like a wonderful place! What are some bad things about Hawaii? What are common reasons for wanting to head back to the Big 48?

1. Because lava can eat your house.
2. Because it's more exposed to tropical storms and tsunamis, and harder to evacuate.
3. Because it's 11 hours behind England's time zone (that is where my boyfriend aka best friend in the whole world lives) and it would make talking to him even more inconvenient.
4. I would miss my family too much.
5. Too much sunshine. I dislike sunshine.
6. It's hot and muggy.

:)


I don't see how anyone could hate cheese. :eek:

Just a guess from someone who also lives outside of the "lower 48" as we call it ;) It probably has something to do with the cost of living. Or it may be they don't personally like the isolation that comes with being so far from the rest of the states. I have a lot of friends up here in Alaska who are really jealous that people in the lower 48 can just get in their cars and drive a few hours to the next state.

I hated cheese until I tried real cheeses. Orange American cheddar would make anyone hate "cheese", or whatever they call that stuff.

Two words: lactose intolerant.

Not that it is an issue for me. I did bake a bacon bleu cheesecake, after all.

I need to do that again.

I don't see how anyone could think that anyone wants to see the Steelers in their throwbacks. Seriously, most hideous uniform EVAR.

The orange isn't even the natural color...

The cheese comes wrapped in plastic... I bet it's also plastic...

Because they are selfish and think bad stuff only happens to other people on the news, until they kill someone.

I don't see how anyone could enjoy Reece's Pieces. I tried them once and they're so incredibly salty! And they're meant to be a sweet snack?

(Someone's going to say, 'how could anyone enjoy Vegemite?', I just know it).

that ain't cheese at all XD if you're talking about yellow american, that's just hydrogenated fat which is gonna be banned from the FDA soon enough. DISGUSTING.

I've had homemade cheese made by the Amish and Menonite people here. That stuff is DELICIOUS! The crap they serve in the states ain't cheese at all. If it comes out looking the same melted as it does before being melted, that is crappy cheese. I eat any kinds of cheese but forget yellow american and blue cheese.

That was a segway though. How can someone listen to dubstep instead of good old fashioned dance, trance, house, or electro? Admittedly that song is pretty cool, but most dubstep sounds like robots in compromising positions in an airplane bathroom.

Yes, they are meant to be sweet. Like a peanut butter M&M. I don't like them either. I've never had Vegemite. Is that a spread?
