Are you so guaranteed that you know what it is saying friend? Or how to study it? One of the first stumbling blocks to someone who reads the bible is when they are starting off from scratch. It can be difficult to someone who never studied it before.

My purpose is to make sure my wife's needs are met,
and to raise my children in nurture and admonition of the Lord.
This isn't hard stuff to figure out.

If you think she is great, you need to know enough about Christianity to help her understand. Muslim is a religion, not a truth. It is a man made belief. Some people who live by what they say live a better life than Christians do. The problem has to do with what Christ did the three days after He was crucified and the day that they found His body wasn't in the tomb they put Him in any more. The problem is that this is a set of beliefs, but when you understand how the world was created, it is only that: beliefs and a religion. It wasn't even started at creation, as true Christianity was, it started 500 years after Christ was crucified and thousands of years after creation when man first understood creation. Helping your friend fructify this "religion" isn't defending her, it is helping her not have eternal life.

Lord Jesus want us to proclaim the salvation to His nation. Not just only for us, God want us to follow Jesus. We have a lot of purpose. Its up to us if we walk in purpose of God.
 
Another thread about purpose of life.Some will say this and some will say that.Some will say we all have just one purpose and some that everyone of us have different.I will tell u that there is only one purpose in life and that union with God in full sense of meaning and that is called THEOSIS which mean Divinization,to become one with God.
This is unknown to the Western world,and Protestants would be very unfamiliar with this,since they have no understanding of teaching of Early Church.

i don't think you're much of an atheist if you're trying to learn about Islam to defend a future sister-in-law.

more like a leaf blowing in the wind.

that's just my personal opinion. there is only one Rock steady enough to build an house on.

I live for Jesus. Before, I lived for myself. I lived to please the world. Now, there's no use in it. Though, isolating myself from the world isn't an option. This world is God's creation, and I can use the things of this world to serve Him. This life, is basically a journey to the next one. This life is the life where we choose whether we want Heaven, or Hell.

It would seem that God has sent me here to do the odds and ends chores that make a big difference in the lives of others. Sometimes it is a kind word or assistance with a task they are struggling with. It seems I always just happen to have in my possession what another person needs for no real reason. There have been strangers that just needed a band-aid to get throught the rest of their day. One lady needed a fork to eat her lunch and I just happened to have a plastic one in my purse. Once a young man came up to the window of our dump truck and asked if I had a coat he could have. It was extremely cold that day and I can still see him shivering. I had an old coat that had been stuffed behind the seat for who knows how long to give him. I had thought about tossing that thing out a million times but just never did...God knew that kid was going to need it. There have been countless times when a person has just needed a few words of encouragement and there I am. People think I work at every store I go to and I end up assisting them in chosing items or finding them. Once in a grocery store a child was climbing on the side of a well filled grocery cart. His mother was occupied with chosing an item from the shelf and didn't notice. I just knew that cart was going to fall over on that kid so I stood there waiting for it to tip over.....it did and I caught it before it hit the boy. The list goes on but it would seem Im the Lord's handy man so to say. It seems Im always just there and possess what another person needs. The Lord puts us all where we are needed the most. I used to think I had no real purpose in this life until He showed me just how important the little things in life really are. Now I know that just one small act of kindness can change the world for each person God puts in our path.
