I imagine its possible, but at some point or another i think either side will probably think about weather or not they have feelings for the other. Unless the guys is a homosexual, then you just have to wonder if he has romantic feelings for your brothers.

I can only speak for the males. I would say it is very, very, very, VERY rare for a guy to have a close friendship with a girl and not have ANY feelings for her. If he likes you enough to be spending a lot of time with you, he probably likes you enough to date you.

I should clarify by saying that it doesn't mean the guy is head-over-heels in love with you, but I would say that it means he likes you enough to date you. Also, I'm talking about CLOSE friendships between guys and girls; this rule doesn't apply to all friendships.

Well, 3 of my closest friends are female. I would not date any of them, have no physical attraction to any of them, and can realistically say I have no feelings toward them other than friendship. Now, their other friends on the other hand....

I think the fact that both of are of the opposite sex creates too wide of a difference for them to be best friends.

I think it differs from personality... my best friend -which is a girl- and I are really comfortable around eachother.. we love to hold hands, hugging and just doing some weird stuff I'd never feel comfortable doing with a guy.
However I do have a couple guy friends whom I'm very close to spiritually and emotionally. And yeah, since I've tried the 'dating your best friend'-thing eith my best guy friend and that ended up in shatters, I've discovered that I crush on people I dont know, and once they become good friends, i cant imagine why I crushed on them!
It sounds horrible but its true unfortunately for me.
However I do have a couple guy friends whom I'm very close to spiritually and emotionally. And yeah, since I've tried the 'dating your best friend'-thing eith my best guy friend and that ended up in shatters, I've discovered that I crush on people I dont know, and once they become good friends, i cant imagine why I crushed on them!

I don't think so. People don't hang around with members of the opposite sex unless they're interested in them at least a little (subconsciously or otherwise).

I think it's totally possible. One of my best friends is a guy, and I'd never date him. We text back and forth all day long, and even go out sometimes, but we're just friends. His mother on the other hand, hopes we become more than that. I already dated my best friend, and that didn't end well.

1. Not attracted to women.
2. Lots of problems with self worth and depression.
3. Totally in love with you and wishing you'd see it.
